Not Good. We were told car needed work on the heater controls and radiator repair. Second opinion from another shop showed nothing wrong with the heater. Car did need a new radiator which also cost less than the price Pfefferle quoted. DO

It was slowly getting harder to turn the wheel in my car. Then one day a small puddle of fluid started showing up under the car. Called them mid day friday, they had room monday. I got a call back after lunch on monday car was ready! I was shocked it happened so fast, my normal shop it was going to take a week to fit me in.

I took my car there after an accident where the transmission pan was cracked, control arm was bent, and I needed a new wheel. Well, then they tell me rack and pinion and power steering pump need to be replaced. I agreed to all of the work, to the tune of $1500, and my car has never been the same. I get my car back, and every time I accelerate, I have this high pitched whine, which I had never heard before. I asked them about this, took it back in to them, and they acted like I was stupid, and they didn't hear anything. Long story short, they replaced the power steering pump, again. Then, about six months later had to replace the rack and pinion AGAIN. Now, I am having the same issues, and I rarely ever drive my car because I carpool to work. My mother recently had work done to her car and refused to go anywhere near Pfefferle because of the way they treated me. They see a woman coming, and they will take full advantage, but what they don't know is I know enough about cars to be dangerous to jerks like them. I am not a mechanic, or I would have fixed it myself, but I have worked on cars on a maintenance level, and have learned a lot from paying attention to, and helping, my father, brother, and other men in my life. I wouldn't take a tri-cycle to these clowns.

I think the other review is completely bogus. I have 'no dog in this hunt' (absolutely no connection to this garage or it's employees). I don't go to them exclusively, but they have been my primary mechanic for at least a decade, maybe even longer, I've kind of lost track. They are extremely competent mechanics and you won't get ripped off on any repairs. They will NEVER tell you something needs to be fixed that doesn't. If they can't find your problem, then there is usually no charge for their labor. If sometimes the front desk is busy, you may wait a little, but BECAUSE they are trying to give good service. Most small garages only have one person at the front desk, so this is SOP. They are usually pretty busy so appointments are necessary. They have streamlined their oil changes and tires though so that it's walk-in with little wait. On the bad side, they can be a little pricey. Basic oil changes are $30 if you don't have a coupon. (The fifth one free.) I got tires there once and they were competitive, but you can likely do better pricewise with discounter sales. On important, extensive repairs, I go nowhere else. (Of course sometimes your dealer, though even more expensive, will be more familiar with computer problems, and always check for unannounced recalls on later models.) I've had bad experiences elsewhere as does everyone, and it's worth my while to deal with honest repairmen. These folks are. In the long run, it's cheaper since you only pay for necessary repairs. The owner, who doesn't work the desk much anymore, can be a little blunt, but I appreciate his candor. He knows about all there is to know about the auto repair business..

I have had service to my car and bought tires here. They need more people to handle the front desk. They seem to be too busy to wait on you. They will try to sell you everything. They are pushy and rude.
