Victory lady fitness is the absolute worst gym i have ever been to. They have no clue about providing good customer service. I signed up for a two year contract and they submitted it for 36 months instead and now im stuck with a bill that i can not afford. Instead of them being understanding of my problem a manager by the name of Tim from Cincinnati Ohio just brushed me off and told me he couldnt do anything in such a rude manner. I would never recommend this company to anyone.

Business Response:

I would like to apologize for your bad experience , Tim is no longer with Victory Lady and we are under new management. Even though it may be too late to ask you to give us another chance, I do want to give you my sincere apology. If there is anything we can do on your behalf please notify us 614- 351-9002. Thank you! As a fellow employee, I recommend to no one to join this gym. For all you people out there with the great reviews on us trainers, were not trainers were just people off the street full of sh*t. There were a few cases he hired people who had knowledge on health and fitness, but none of us are trained in any way. We are supposed to get as many referralls from you as we can, and that is our only goal. More members, half the time were full of sh*t when were giving a tour. We make stuff up, we butter it up to sound great. That $5 fee you pay each month that is supposed to pay for maintence of the gym, new machines, yada yada. well we hardly could pay the bills so your fees went to paying Tim, his staff and other things you wouldnt be pleased about. The hot tub was broken for months, because we couldnt afford the new parts. The mirror on the exercise floor shattered off the wall because of all the mold behind it. The celing leaks water, because we didnt have enough money to fix the ceiling, instead he would pay for little patches, everytime there was another hole, our mantience man was told to just patch it. For over a month the cholrine in the pool was not even at a legal limit, because we were 6 months behind in payment and couldnt buy any more chlorine! Ha! The place looks like a 4th graders classroom, he thinks he can cover up the sh*t hole with crate paper, construction paper, glitter, glue and dumb crap on the walls. Your payment to keep the facility clean, well he pays under the table mexicans who come only every other day, somehow they manage to clean the WHOLE club in 20 min. Impressive, they dont whipe or clean off the machines, they just clean the mirrors vaccum the floors and empty the trash. There is no telling when the machines were last cleaned off, because we were not responsible for it. We didnt even have cleaner.
Tim is a scam artist, he has mastered it, he teaches others to be good at it, and if you join, dont even try to get your money back you wont ever see it, your locked in that contract, and they wont call you back. You will be lucky if they even take your number when you call. I warned you, dont join.

Maybe it depends on which location you go to work out. I joined the Beechmont gym a few weeks ago and have had nothing but positive experiences with the employees. They have been friendly and helpful without being pushy. It is generally clean and was a bargain compared to some of the other gyms in the area.

I love it at Victory! I joined the one on Beechmont over a year ago and ever since I joined all they've been doing is improving. They put so much money into that club since Jan of this year, buying new equipment and installing new carpet.

I had signed up with this gym when they had a "special" where you paid one year in full and got two years "free" on top of that. When all was said and done I ended up paying $480.00. The part that got expensive was the "maintenance fees."

I've had a positive experience at the Victory Lasy Fitness on Beechmont; The trainers are very nice & always willing to help, the machines are plentiful & they have a one or two year contract. The only thing that I think could be improved is the building & pool area are a bit dated & the pool could be a little bigger. I was told about the auto renewal but you just tell them if you no longer want to renew at the end of your membership.

When you join, they make you sign a 3 year contract. What they don't tell you is that in the top corner, they check a box for automatic membership renewal. I joined in 2007. I had a baby at the end of 2008. I went pretty regularly in 2007 and even in 2008 when I was pregnant. I haven't been to the gym since ~August of 2008 but I have to wait until my contract expires in September of 2010. I called to day to see how I would go about discontinuing the automatic withdrawals from my account in September. They said I had to send a certified letter to Toledo to have reductions cancelled AND It takes 30 days to process! Luckily I didn't wait until September to call or they would have been getting at least an additional months fee!

When I did attend the gym, I thought the weight loss program was ok and some of the machines were pretty good. I don't think there is much more to offer than that though! The gym is fairly dirty, the pool is small, & classes are constantly being cancelled b/c the staff turnaround is so significant. I now go to Beechmont racquet and fitness. They have so much more to offer and the cost for a family of 4 is the same as it would be for Victory Lady (but you can't take a family there).

Just realize that things can change and you are signing a contract for THREE years!

Pros: Good weight loss program

Cons: Scam

My sister, daughter and I joined the Beechmont location on New Year's Eve day, and have gone consistently 3-5 days a week since. The staff has been very friendly and helpful, and we love the free classes. And you can't beat the price! I'm sorry to hear others have had such bad experiences. All I have to say is, that each location is privately owned (I think) and therefore run differently, so don't judge all Victory Lady Fitnesses by one badly run gym. And you get out of your gym experience what you put into it (even if it's a great gym).

My experience with Victory Lady Fitness Western Hills has been terrible! Joining and getting the financial part squared away was confusing and drawn out and then it took forever to get my membership card and monthly payment coupons. I was called because I hadn't paid my monthly service fee, but I never received my coupons to make a payment! Many of the machines are always broken and the air conditioner is often not working. The place isn't the cleanest and often times it out ot toilet paper. The worst part is the customer service. The personal trainers (if that's what you want to call them) are always leaving so there are constantly new workers. Management is very rude! They encourage referrals and offer rewards for referrals, but all they really want is more money! I have referred two people and have yet to see my reward! Sounds like the Beechmont location might be better, especially staff, but Wester Hills is awful! I wouldn't recommend joining and I won't be referring anymore people. Too bad I'm in a 3 year contract!

First, I weigh 120 pounds and they kept asking me to be part of their Biggest Loser program. Apparently they think I'm fat. Their "free personal training" is not personal training...they just stick you on a machine and leave. The gym is supposedly all female, but Tim, the creepy owner, is always luring around the place. Do not waste your money. There are several gyms very close to here that are a much better value.

Tim hasn't returned any phone calls regarding an expired membership that I am still being charged for. He uses his "trainers" to do all the middle manning and still I get no where. I was promised a year for free after having two girls join and that year has not turned out to be payment free. He constantly drops the ball and doesn't care for his members obviously, he just cares about getting their money. He will go to any level to get it. After reading the B. B. B reports...it does not come as a surprise he has a rating of F! I strongly urge anyone considering his fitness centers to join elsewhere with a reputable rapport. Tim always has new trainers and it is no wonder every week I walk in I don't recognize faces. As a member it is important to feel comfortable with your trainer and you can't do that if he is constantly firing them for unknown real reasons.

After reading these reviews I wonder where these complaining ladies came from??? I have been a member of Victory Lady for 2 years. I have had the pleasure of working with several of the trainers. Since last fall, I have been working with Katie. She has been there for 6 years and is a fabulous trainer! In the past 9 months I have lost 41 pounds - dropping from 210 to 169 pounds - well on the way to my goal of losing 75 pounds and reaching a weight of 135!

I have also participated in two contests - the Biggest Loser and the Amazing Race. These contests are fun and motivating! I won the biggest loser in November and my sister and I teamed up to win the Amazing Race in March! My sister has also done well with her trainer and, to date, has lost 79 pounds!

The gym is always clean, has great equipment and classes, and the staff is friendly and knowledgable. If you want to lose weight and get in shape, this is an awesome place to go!

Compared to other gyms, the price is fantastic! I pay 1/3 of what my firend pays for her gym and she also has to pay $10 per session to meet with a trainer.

I also love that it is women only! I feel comfortable working out since there are no men there. I love my gym and have not seen unhappy ladies there! I think a few complainers just came here to vent.

First of all, i have been a member with Victory Lady Fitness at the Beechmont location for over 5 years. I absolutely love this gym. I understand people have felt staff was rude or misleading, but treat others the way you want to be treated! If you call and be rude to someone and expect them to give you exactly what you want you are wrong. I work in customer service, and have experienced my fair share of rude customers. The staff at the Beechmont location are extremely nice, and always greet me by my first name when i walk in the door. Yes, i scan my card everytime i walk in, because its the RULES. It's written on the contract!

There are excellent machines, and excellent classes. The personal trainers DO know what they are talking about. Why pay $60+ for personal training, when it is free?! They know exactly what to do for me to get the results i am looking for, and i am extremely with the service i have received for the past 5+ years. The facility is clean, and i really love how personal and close the staff is. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants/needs to workout because the girls at Beechmont are amazing! I have lost 78 pounds at Victory Lady, and they recently started an online meal planning program, which is incredible, and only $5 a month!

Weight loss is their goal there, and if it is your's, they WILL help you acheive it. I am sorry others have had experiences that they say were "BAD", but it all depends on how you look at the situation. I will never work out anywhere else, because when I am at Victory Lady, i feel welcome! It is my gym!

This was my first gym membership. When I signed up, I was told by my "personal trainer" that after my contract was over, I could renew for the same deal-$15.00 a month + $5.00 monthly fee. I made an appointment to meet with one of the "trainers" (mine was no longer there) to renew my membership because it was currently August and it expired in September. I kept telling her that I just wanted to renew with the same deal I had before. I signed a new contract for the same deal, or so I thought. The next month, I was charged my normal $16.01 and an additional $20.00. I called to find out what the $20.00 was for and I was then told by a manager that it was for a "start up fee". I was so confused because I wasn't starting a new membership, I was only renewing. She was also very argumentative and did not even listen to what I was saying. She told me that I was charged the $20.00 fee plus my monthly membership because my current membership was not over but I had already started a new membership so they overlapped. I guess I should have waited to renew until my old one had expired? She called the owner and then called me back and this went on for days. Finally, I just told her I wanted to cancel and that I wanted my $20.00 to be refunded. The owner called me and I thought everything was taken care of but now every month they still take out $20.00 instead of the $16.01 that I am used to and I was never reimbursed for the $20.00 as I was told I would be. On top of it all, the so-called trainers don't know much about the equipment or personal training. Since I have been going there, I have not really had any personal training that I would consider helpful. I would much rather pay the extra money to have a real fitness expert help me get into the best shape I can be in and personalize a workout for me. That is not what they mean by "personal trainer".

So, I lost my card and I couldn't "scan" in. I have been searching and searching for my little card. One manager says keep looking. The other manager, "Tim" gets nasty with me and asks me to leave - he won't let me use the yellow contract. OK - I need my card - I understand that. So little "Tim" (who must have little man disease) calls the police to have me removed. Before the police got there, I talked to 4 women who have not scanned in for years - but little Timmy has to pick on me and make an example. And yes, this is a great place to be completely forgotten about after they get your money. The staff is new every time I go in and I see so many people using the machines incorrectly. Too bad, because they do have nice equipment - just need someone that knows how to use it.

And yes, this is a great place to be completely forgotten about after they get your money. The staff is new every time I go in and I see so many people using the machines incorrectly. Too bad, because they do have nice equipment - just need someone that knows how to use it.

Pros: NICE EQUIPMENT

Cons: If you make one person scan their card, you should make everyone!

I was a potential member of Victory Lady Fitness Center and the day I was to view the facility I was running late and called to let the person I was meeting with know. Another employee answered the phone and was very rude. Told me I didn't have an appointment, which I explained I did, the employee was argumentive, and when I asked to speak to a manager she told me no one could speak to me. I will never consider becoming a member of a facility that hires rude people. Customer Service is every thing and it can make or break your business.

After reading the bad review from March I was compelled to write about my own experience at the beechmont location since it has been so great. I have been a member of a gym since I was 16 so its been a long time and I can honestly say Victory lady offers the best value and service I have ever received.

I just signed up there this summer after my membership at golds ended. A friend referred me and now I pay only $25 a month for my member ship-got two years free by signing for a one yr membership plus they have free personal training, aerobics, kickboxing pilates and other free classes everyday and they even have an indoor pool, hot tub and sauna. I was paying $198 a month for a personal trainer at Golds for the last year plus $40 monthly membership. Now I pay only the $25 and personal training is free.

I was even gone for two weeks for work and after a little over a week of not going to the gym a trainer called me to see if they could get me in for a session since they noticed I hadnt been coming in. I was very impressed!

I'm almost 7 months pregnant now and even when I work out on my own a trainer is always nearby and often times they offer advice or recommendations for me during my workout even if I don't have an appointment. The only down side is they dont have a daycare center so working out after the baby comes will be a little more of a challenge but I will manage. I recommend this gym to all of my friends now!

If you want to be pressured into membership and then ignored as a client then this is the place for you. They are still billing my credit card two months after cancellation, which we keep calling about and they will not resolve. I have reported Victory Lady Fitness to the Cincinnati business bureau. I guess the next step is to get a lawyer.
