Reviews for Fridrich Bicycle Inc

Ratings_icons been there a few times for repairs

J. R.

Been to Fridrich's a handful of times over the last ten years and have always appreciated the service, whether just a tune-up or fixing my gears, they've been speedy and reasonably priced. Today I walked in with a kinda simple seat problem and they spent a few minutes to fix it for free!

A friend of mine gave me a bike she found in the garbage. There was no chain on it, it had flat tires and one of the shifters needed to be rewired and repaired. I took it to Fridrich's because I heard they had a good repair shop. The repair man barely looked at my bike (seriously like not even for 30 seconds) and told me that the frame was bent, and that he would never be able to get it to shift properly again. He also said that the repairs would be too expensive, and the cost of repair would be the price of a new bicycle.

I kind of had a feeling this guy just didn't want to repair my bike, so I took it to Spin Bike shop in Lakewood. They took the bike behind the counter and had a very thorough look at it before coming back with an estimate of cost for repair. They also mentioned that the guy who looked at my bike previously was wrong, and that the frame was not bent. They were very professional, and the repairs would have only cost me less than $100, not the price of a new bicycle.

So anyways, the repair man at Fridrich's could have made some money off of me had he been willing to repair it. However, I doubt I would have even let him fix it if he was going to charge me the same amount as a new bike. I would not recommend the guy that I spoke with - some older dude with a ponytail, he wasn't much of a help and he was impolite.

I would recommend Spin Bike Shop in Lakewood. Out of all the bike shops in the Cleveland area I've been to, they offer the best quality service at the best price.
