Reviews for De Vore Roofing Llc

Ratings_icons Thanks to DeVore Roofing

Jamie S.

Prior to buying our home in Mason, Dan inspected our roof. He was very knowledgeable, took pictures, and answered all of our questions. After finding faulty workmanship, we had our builder repair several issues. Thanks to DeVore Roofing, I believe we saved huge expenses down the road!

Thanks

I did use them and I do not have any complaints about the crew or the roofing work that was done on my home. I do have a problem with Dan Devore, the owner. He continually tried to add charges before and after the job. He also balked at my wanting to pay with a credit card even though he accepts this form of payment. He is rather greedy and unprofessional - he tries to squeeze every last dime out of the customer. I would not use this contractor again.

I am Dan DeVore, owner of DeVore Roofing for 28 years. Josh called the first week of February 2008 to inspect a roof leak in a severely damaged ceiling in a bedroom that had been leaking for some time. I inspected the roof and although it wasn’t very old, there were installation problems. I told him that to fix the problem and guarantee it I would have to replace at least that entire right side of the roof which would cost about $3000. His insurance company suggested to tarp the roof to prevent more damage, which I quoted at $450. I explained that there was a good chance the tarp would stop the leak only temporarily but that a tarp is better than nothing. I didn’t guarantee anything for putting a tarp on his roof because hard winds, heavy rain and other variables could allow water into the house. He didn’t like the cost of a roof replacement and chose to put the tarp on, which we installed. The next time I heard from Josh was when I received a check and a note in the mail 26 days later. The check was for $450 and the note said that he was dissatisfied with the way the tarp was installed because it leaked the very next day. He requested some of his money back. I refunded him $225.
