I have been to this Vet many times for many different strays as well as my own two cats. He is excellent! He may at times seem to lack personality however his job is to leave you with a healthy pet not kiss your butt! and his patients prove his skill and compassion. I remember when my cat mimi was 10 weeks old she had gotten ahold of a fishing pole and got a lure stuck in her lips drove in without calling ( around lunchtime) and he left his lunch to come and help her! Pretty sure my kids' doctor wouldnt do that! So to all of the Dr.York bashers out there, there was probably a reason he got rid of you, and probably a reason your still unemployed to write ugly reviews about him!

Dr.York has been our vet about 10 years. We adopted 2 cats from him at that time. We didn't go in very often as they have been very healthy, however, when we did need him, he and his staff have always provided wonderful care. We were never rushed in and out, all advice and treatments worked as they were supposed to and the utmost care was taken not to stress the animals any more than was necessary. I have no problem referring people to him.

The service I recieved at Regional Animal Care was fabulous. I was a new client with an emergency . My tiny 2 # yorkie was having difficulty breathing, and dealing with hypoglycemia. I walked in without an appointment aand I was quickly escorted into an exam room by the receptionist, who notified the Dr. Within moments Dr Yorke came in and examined my pet , reassuring me that my pet would be OK. Dr Yorke took and Xray and brought it into the exam room and showed me the areas that my dog had pneumonia. He was very kind and gentle and explanined everything to me. The receptionist was also very reassuring and very kind. I was treated with the utmost respect. I just wish my own people Dr. and his staff would take lessons from this group of fine caring people

Ok so I will give you the REAL truth about Dr. York and his staff. 1st of all Joni H. I know exactly who you are and I also worked with you there and you know what you have said is NOT true. I had to do my intership there with him and I NEVER saw him get mad and take it out on animals. You can't tell me he doesn't care about animals because when I was there he had not just one kitten but a litter of kittens to give away for free to a good home. HHHMMMM don't you think that if he didn't care he could have just put them to sleep? I believe it cost him money to feed them, give them litter to go potty in and pay his employees to take care of them. Dosen't sound so money hungry to me. Also I NEVER was asked to put two dogs that were not in the same family in the same cage. Um, and why wouldn't he give boarding dogs there vacinations? If he didn't he could have an outbreak of a virus and then have to treat all these boarding dogs for free or risk the possiblity of being sued. I never was asked or saw him use the same needle twice on the same or different pets. He has the same employees there for years. Why? Because he is a good Dr. infact he is excellent so his employees stay with him.So to you guys rubbing his name in the dirt good try. I wouldn't take what you say with a grain of salt.I wouldn't take mine anywhere else and he IS honest.

I just read the review by the ex.employee of Dr Yorke and I agree. I used to work for him too and everything that person said is true! I want to also add that Dr York would use dirty "used" syringes (needles) on the animals and get mad if he caught us using new ones. Said they cost him money. Also he would use the same dosing syring to give medicine (for parasites) that he just used for another animal. Not good... Its all about the money! Not the care of your pet like you think. Im glad Im not there anymore. Be Careful. The good reviews are because they dont know what really goes on in the back. (Just what Dr Yorke acts like in front.)

Here's the real story behind Dr Yorke. I worked for him for a while and I will give it to you strait. DO NOT let them say they will give your pet its vaccines while they are boarding because most of the time they dont but you will still pay for it. DO NOT think all is the same way behind the scene as it is up front. IT IS NOT. Anyone can "act". Dr Yorke is very rough and gets frustrated in the back and your animal WILL be treated different than is portrayed when you are there. The groomer is also rough and burned out and nobody cares and does nothing about it. Dr Yorke claims he has nothing to do with her grooming but he pays her salary! He is ready to retire in a few years and his attitude behind the scenes reflects it. He talks behind many clients backs. Honestly, I don't think I will every look at another vet the same. Are they all this way? I am just warning everyone to take what they see with a grain of salt and WATCH every vaccine be done. Also, I heard dogs howl and cry out under sedation while Dr Yorke was doing surgerys. Whats that about? Are they sedated or just paralized? Nobody would answer that when I asked but there look told me they knew something. When you board your dog, it may not stay in the large dog run that they show you. It may go to a small cage. Dr Yorke even told me to double the dogs up in the same dog run when we were overcrowded (still taking in boarders). These are two totally unfamiliar dogs. They may fight, one may hog the food. He didn't care. And he sure didn't ask the people if it would be allright if he put there dog in with another strange dog. His integrity is not as it appears. It's all about making a dollar. Everyone just do your homework and BEWARE. These are things I seen with my own eyes.

Dr. York of Regional Animal Care has been my vet of choice for over four years. He has cared for my three dogs and now two cats. The staff treats my animals as if they were their own. While I have always appreciated the great staff and ease of making an appointment, I didn't realize just how fantastic these people were until two things happened.First, my beloved dog died of old age. I was devastated. A friend told me about pet cremation so I called several places trying to get more information. While in tears, the staff assisted me with all the arrangements. At no time in this process was I made to feel that I was acting silly or overreacting to "just a dog".Second, I recently adopted a dog from a rescue center out of Tulsa. Due to their rules, they insisted that I use their vet for the remaining vaccinations, neutering, de-clawing etc. What a nightmare! The staff were not nearly as caring or attentive as Dr. York's staff. After the cats surgery, while I paid for pain medicine none was given, neither were antibiotics. When I called that office and explained I thought the cat had an infection, I was dismissed. One call to Dr. Yorks office and I was in to see the Dr within minutes, a package of antibiotics were ready, along with some pain meds for my poor kitty. All this within 20 minutes! As long as I live in this area, I would never dream of taking any pet I cared about to anyone but Dr. York!

Staff is friendly and helpful. Pricing is fair, but they will not let you take your pets "rx's" with you. You must by from them and they will price match. I've always rcvd same day appointments and have even called after hours and some one answer my call. They are very helpful. They also offer grooming. They sell special brands of dog food also.
