I would recommend her to ANYONE. I had a high risk pregnancy and she sure kept an eye on me and met EVERY need I had. She is caring, fun and knows what she's doing. I felt completely safe with her. The office workers and her nurse Kristen are extremely nice too. I would never go anywhere else.

My son was delivered 6 years ago by Dr. Nilson. He was a twin and was born 10 weeks early. His twin was stillborn. I went to Dr. Nilson after my sister-in-law had her baby and he was delivered by emergency c-section. He was very weak and we were not sure if he would make it. I remember when Dr. Nilson came in to talk to us and I saw his genuine compassion and concern for her baby. My husband and I knew that if I ever got pregnant we would go to him. I had a pregnancy with lots of complications. When I was taken to the hospital and was told that my son was stillborn I will never forget the compassion and care that Dr. Nilson showed me. I am still a patient of his and don't plan on going anywhere.

Dr. Nilson was my OB for my resent pregnancy in which I ended up having very seriously problems that could have been prevented. My daughter was born extremely premature (29 weeks) due to my pre-eclampsia. I went to Dr. Nilson's office on 4 different occasions the month before my daughter was born (not regularly scheduled apts.) due to my high blood pressure/extreme swelling. The nursing assistant that I assumed was an RN (never assume) sent me home every time without seeing Dr. Nilson. She said it was normal and to go home and relax that Dr. Nilson was too busy to see me without an advanced apt. The final time I went to the office (calling in advance that day but without a prior scheduled apt.) I insisted someone else take my blood pressure. An RN came in, took my BP, and immediately insisted I get to my left side and not move. Dr. Nilson then came in, assessed me and sent me directly to the hospital where I was rushed to a C-section to prevent eclampsia/stroke. We spent 4 1/2 extremely emotional months in the St. Francis NICU many days not even knowing if our daughter would survive the night. After seeing another OB for my 6 week checkup I was told that this situation should have never happened. That I should have been monitored much more closely and been put on BP meds throughout the pregnancy. So I would be extremely cautious in choosing this practitioner or anyone in his practice especially if you have a troubled pregnancy past. FYI - this was my first pregnancy.

Words can not even express how great of a person Dr. Nilson is.His bed side manner is incredible. He is always excited to see every one when they come in his office. The great thing about Dr. Nilson is that he treats you like a person and not like a pay check. He will take the time to listen to all of you're concerns and not blow anything off as is if you were crazy. :)Dr. Nilson has delivered my three children, and I highly recommend him.
