I just love the Greek House. I have been going there over twenty years and although I now live out of state, visit at least yearly. I can't find anywhere that makes gyros like they do. The tzatziki sauce is the best ever. The grill the lamb on skewers and slice fresh to order. It may not look like much on the outside but the food rocks. I actually cried when I went in because I heard they closed. They are selling the place but are currently still in business. I brought about ten pounds of meat and 6 cups of sauce back to Arkansas with me. My mother kept eating it on the way back to Arkansas, and I was so afraid she would eat it all! Ha ha If you haven't ever been, you best hurry.... You may miss your chance for the best gyros ever. Oh yeah, the child's plate is super big and perfect for the average adult. I posted a picture of the regular gyro plate and I couldn't finish it!

We've been eating at this restaurant for over 20 years. They only thing that has changed is the large plant that now wraps around the ceiling!! The food is outstanding, the owners gracious and friendly. When we were studying Greece in school we, of course, went and ate Greek food! We explained what we had been learning and asked the owners what part of the country they were originally from. We received a WONDERFUL lesson on the area surrounding Sparta that the kids still recall. It's a sad time when they close the restaurant for a month to travel home! Parking is tricky, but worth it!

I live in Denver Colorado and I always visit the greek house when I go to Norman to visit, all of my family in Colorado begs me to bring some back. I have never experienced Gyros the way they cook theirs, hands down the best.

I was blown away after eating at the Greek House. It was always so busy, we decided to see what the fuss was about. The Gyro's where delicious, and so was the salad. There was so much to eat, and it was so inexpensive. We loved the lively music, and the woman at the counter taught us to say thanks in Greek. Very friendly, great atmosphere, and amazing food.

PROS: Great Food
CONS: parking is tricky during the day

Someone not from Norman would wonder why each day droves of students line up in front of the Greek House to wait for their delicious meal. Though they only have a few things to choose from, they are all delicious and really signify everything about Greek cuisine
