RUN, do not just walk away from this dealership. NEVER, NEVER agree to sign any of their paperwork ""to work on financing"". I am sure my experience is going to have to be settled in a courtroom. They aren't concerned about the individual and will stoop to any level to attain the sales. My 72 yr old husband walking and being 2 1/2 hrs away from home are a testament to that. At this time they have my vehicle that is paid for (refusing to let me have it back) and the new one that I refuse to take.

Went here at the end of my daughter's long attempt to buy her first new car - problem was she didn't know what make to buy. I was tearing my hair out as I thought it would never end, but eventually it did - at David Stanley Ford. They finally sold her on an Escape with room for the family. Her husband loves it and it was a good price.

I went in the other day just to talk to them about getting a new car, they were nice at first but then further into the process they started getting a little pushy. I didn't have the best credit, so they said they would have to use a special finance loan, and that there were certain qualifications for the car, at first there were 5 cars i could choose from then it went to 2 then with in 10 minutes it was left to 1 car that i would've been able to get. So i took it for a test drive, we were only in it for about 10 minutes and it started to overheat, and the sales guy, DAVID OATES said it was only because it was 100 degrees outside and that it would be fine... other than that the car wasn't too bad but i didn't want to drive it off the lot and it break down so we asked for a warranty on it if i did buy it and he kept giving me the run around. when i stopped showing any interest in the car he went and got his friend from the finance department and kept trying to force me to take the car, it took me over 30 minutes to be able to get away from them. They both swore that I wouldn't be able to get approved anywhere and that they were the only people i had, that they even had to BEG to get approval for me because of my credit and that if i left NO ONE would approve me at any other dealership. I went to JOE COOPER FORD later that day and am now driving a NEW FORD, so much for NO ONE wanting to finance me. I strongly would not recommend DAVID STANELY FORD to anyone!!!

May 03, 2007 DO NOT TRUST THEM TO FINANCE - BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!
There was a Ford Partner Program thru work that would offer us a discount on a new car. We used the internet to search David Stanley Ford which was listed as a participant. We responded for more information (and were notified that if we asked for Rhayme or Jordan in internet saleswhen we came in we would receive $500 off. Never happened. Long story short - we went in about 10 a.m. on 4/21 -- told us they didn't know anything about Partner Program. Tried to tell me my trade in wasn't worth what was owed ($2400) and I knew nothing major was wrong with it and I could get $3500 and we told him so and got up to leave. He said he would cheat his reseller and give us the $3500. We ended up going to Colton in finance about noon - 2 hours later. He kept us in his cubbyhole office 2 hours constantly telling us there was no 3 day buyer's remorse and all these customers who have come in the past and he's had to explain to them. I understand now. Bottom line they hit my credit report more than 10 times that day - my credit points dropped 30 points because of the hits. They told me I was financed thru Wells Fargo - I find out 9 days later it's not financed yet they claim they could only get Citifinancial to fund it because of our "POOR CREDIT RATING" for that great 15.99%. I tell him I'm disputing credit life and want it and other items I finally realize that he had said were included with my price (which I thought was about $20,000) and the only number he ever gave me was $605 payment for 70 months. I have now been trying almost 10 days and am now talking to corporate counsel. I find out today CapitalOne Autoloan offered to lend us more than the amount requested for 12.95%. Then I read the fine print. David Stanley has the option to share in the finance charge so if they sell it to a lender for 15.99% which I'm committed to - that may have not been the rate the lender would have lent it to me for. Plus he lied about our credit ratings. BUYER BEWARE. I am protesting in every consumer complaint area - they have come out and called us liars although doesn't make sense because they do participate in partner plan on new vehicles - and claim I never asked that nor said I didn't want a fleet vehicle and that they had no way of knowing the vehicle they sold me was fleet/rental. In the last 6 days I have left so many messages for Colton the finance manager - faxed information setting out the discrepancies to the dealership and sent to general manager and counsel. They say - we're right -- they're wrong, end of matter. It's not the end of the matter. BEWARE THERE'S AN ARBITRATION CLAUSE - YOU'RE NOT REQUIRED to take "disability" OR WHATEVER THEY CALL IT. BE VERY CAREFUL TO GET A COPY OF EVERY PAPER THEY GET YOU TO INITIAL SINCE THEY THINK NOTHING OF ADDING INFORMATION ON LATER and we all know ... Car Salesmen never lie do they - it's always the customer!

I traded in a truck to david stanley ford last year, and brought a new car from them. The initial transaction was very nice sales men were friendly (surprise, surprise) but the care received so far after the sale has been less that pleasing. Weather it is their fault or not, whoever they sold the truck never changed the title over to their name and i am now getting their parking tickets. when david stanley was approache for help, they simply said it was not their problem, not happy with them at all!

PROS: nice cars, nice salesmen
CONS: bad after sale care
