My experience yesterday with this auction

be warned...this auction is not a place for average people to find a car because they allow dishonest dealers to disguise problems and even if you purchase a guaranteed vehicle that is "green light all the way" that turns out to be a flood car or worse, the auction company backs the seller and forces you to either take pay the auction price plus their fee or forfeit your $200 cash deposit which is required when you register. i bid on a very basic little 94 mazda pickup for $1625, then on top of that the auction company added $175 for a total of $1800. Since it was sold as a guaranteed green light sale, before i paid, i was allowed to ride in the truck (but not drive), that is when i realized how badly that i was being cheated. when i got in the truck with the auction driver, i noticed the boot on the transmission was loose and when i looked under, there were old rags stuffed all around the shifter to block out the transmission noice and the exhaust leak, when i pulled them out, i could hear a knocking in the engine. the drive was worse, the clutch grabbed, the gears ground, the brakes grabbed and locked the tires.. when i complained to the auction manager, he said the guarantee was for "hard knocks" and transmission slips, only and the knocking in the engine was not a "hard knock", but something else, but he realized i was getting screwed, so he offered me a deal that if i would pay the $1800 for the truck, i could leave it there and he would sell it to someone else the next week and that way somebody else could deal with it, when i told him that the truck was a junker, he told me to "man up" and made it clear that it was a done deal and retreated to his office.
i saw another guy, a mexican, who was in the same predicament on another car and was also losing his $200. i feel this auction assists dishonest dealers in pawning off doctored up cars to the local public and then keeps the required $200 deposits if they complain. like one guy said, this place expects you to "take a f**kin and keep on truckin, cause they make money regardless".
you've been warned.

This is a place to get a car. Great deals. You even can check out the car before hand. Open on Satudays at 9am to check out cars and auction begins at 10am. Me and my husband have been going here every weekend. We have yet to buy a car, but can see the potential on many. We would have probably already bought one, but we are looking for a specific type, especially with having kids. I seen a Tibiron go for $800, and for what i could see it was a great deal. But with kids that isnt what I was looking for.
