I would have to agree with the pro's and con's of things ...I bought a minivan here and when I bought it , there were no lights on dash ..IE engine light , warning light ...But not even a block away the engine light came on , however I drove the van for over a year and half , then got sold it and got all but $500 of my money back...I did find out how they do this , through my mechanic , because he turn the light off for me , with one of the diagnostic machines. They will turn the engine light off for a couple hours . My GF on the other hand bought a Green light car and the engine blew before she got it home. They do allow the dealers to bid against the public , especially on the dealers own cars , to jack up the price..And there are hidden fee's , make sure you dot your I's and cross you T's with this place

been buying cars for 40 yrs,Auctions are just what they are auctions, too many expect a 10,000.car for 1500.An auction is not for folks with no mechanical aptitude, I have purchased and sold cars thru auctions, when its a red lite car be prepared for repair, green lite cars dont expect a viper, they are there for a reason. Some dealers the big ones do not keep high milege or older vehicles, because they are subject to mechanical failure.Your reputable dealers cannot afford bad publicity with there name 100 ft up in the air on a 50 ft bill board.so there sent to auction to recover there trade in allowance,On exception!! some cars that are older dealers will keep for retail, Due to mint conditionand or low miles. So being unhappy with an auction is only on your lack of knowledge.Next time your at the flea market dont ask for a warranty. Horrible place, they have AS IS cars or Green Light cars, if you bought green light car - you have 1 hour to test drive it, but you will need to pay for it first (or pay deposit 30%) - green light means that the transmission and the engine are good, but MAKE SURE to test drive them in one hour, because there is a very big chance that something will be wrong with the transmission or engine. If something is wrong - you will need to take it to arbitration, wait looong time and then prepare yourself to receive a lot of bad attitude from the guy who test drove it and checked it, he will say that everything is fine. Then you will go to talk to a manager and the manager will tell you that his mechanic checked it and everything is fine, so good luck, lol. You will see lots of angry people (sometimes crying) in the office around 12pm - 2pm on saturday. And don't forget about the fees - they are huge. Also if the dealer can't sell the car from the dealership (something is wrong with the car) - he will take to the auction. There is lots of different types of fluids you can buy in the auto parts stores today (stop engine leaks, stop transmission slips, stop radiator leaks ......, head gasket repair in the bottle, LOL) so your car will be fine for couple of weeks (maybe a month or next oil change) and then - junk yard. Most of the cars are junk in the first place.

before you can bid, they charge a $200 cash deposit, i thought i was bidding $1550 on a mazda pickup, but they said I bid $1650, but lowered it to $1625. When I picked up the ticket, they had added another $175 to the price making it $1800. Since it was sold as ""green light"", I had the right to check it out after the sale, but they would only let me ride in it and not drive. The motor knocked, the brakes locked, the clutch grabbed, the motor stalled, the exhaust leaked and somebody had lifted the boot and stuffed rags around the shifter to help cover the noise from the exhaust leak. The engine was so loud and sounded like a diesel with a knocking sound and tapping. It sounded like it had gotten hot and was loose. Anyway, they said that even though it was guaranteed, it was only against ""lower end knock and transmission slippage"". When I wouldn't accept the truck, they kept my $200. They presented it as excellent, guaranteed and ""green light all the way"", but don't disclose anything before the sale. Be warned

be warned...this auction is not a place for average people to find a car because they allow dishonest dealers to disguise problems and even if you purchase a guaranteed vehicle that is "green light all the way" that turns out to be a flood car or worse, the auction company backs the seller and forces you to either take pay the auction price plus their fee or forfeit your $200 cash deposit which is required when you register. i bid on a very basic little 94 mazda pickup for $1625, then on top of that the auction company added $175 for a total of $1800. Since it was sold as a guaranteed green light sale, before i paid, i was allowed to ride in the truck (but not drive), that is when i realized how badly that i was being cheated. when i got in the truck with the auction driver, i noticed the boot on the transmission was loose and when i looked under, there were old rags stuffed all around the shifter to block out the transmission noice and the exhaust leak, when i pulled them out, i could hear a knocking in the engine. the drive was worse, the clutch grabbed, the gears ground, the brakes grabbed and locked the tires.. when i complained to the auction manager, he said the guarantee was for "hard knocks" and transmission slips, only and the knocking in the engine was not a "hard knock", but something else, but he realized i was getting screwed, so he offered me a deal that if i would pay the $1800 for the truck, i could leave it there and he would sell it to someone else the next week and that way somebody else could deal with it, when i told him that the truck was a junker, he told me to "man up" and made it clear that it was a done deal and retreated to his office.

i saw another guy, a mexican, who was in the same predicament on another car and was also losing his $200. i feel this auction assists dishonest dealers in pawning off doctored up cars to the local public and then keeps the required $200 deposits if they complain. like one guy said, this place expects you to "take a f**kin and keep on truckin, cause they make money regardless".

you've been warned.

This is a place to get a car. Great deals. You even can check out the car before hand. Open on Satudays at 9am to check out cars and auction begins at 10am. Me and my husband have been going here every weekend. We have yet to buy a car, but can see the potential on many. We would have probably already bought one, but we are looking for a specific type, especially with having kids. I seen a Tibiron go for $800, and for what i could see it was a great deal. But with kids that isnt what I was looking for.
