I have never seen such care and love from a vet until I came to All Pets. Our little rat Poppy was over 3 years old(98 in rat years) when she started acting funny and slowing down more than she should of for her age. We had gone to another vet in the area but she didn't know much about rats and read up on them during her lunch break (this freaked me out). When we got to All Pets we were welcomed by Trix, a sweet little mix dog that someone had hit with their car and brought to Dr. Harrington. He had his leg out of the cast and was doing great! There was no urine smell when we were there and both of the little dogs were very polite and sweet. When we took Poppy out she was lethargic and didn't feel good. They checked her out and determined she had a tumor attached to her kidneys(a large one) and that she had an infection. There weren't many options and we knew it. Rather than making us go through with putting her down because she could live with the tumor and with the infection it would have painful to put her under the gas for sedation. The first thing they did was give me a hug because I was broken. They recommended a shot of fluids and sent her home with pain medication and antibiotics to make her feel better. They worked with us so well, not only were they $200 dollars cheaper than the other place they did routine calls to check on her and Dr. Harrington answered our calls at 3 am to give us feedback on her condition. Poppy was feeling a lot better and cuddled the whole time when she did pass. She went very peacefully thanks to pain medication and we were so lucky to have her as long as we did. All Pets surprised us even more after that by offering her a place in the pet cemetery with a plate with her name and age on it. They made her passing and stress free as they could for her. They didn't make her stay there, they let her come home where they knew she would be loved and cradled. We took Poppy to the lake house and buried her in the garden next to the Petunias she liked to play with. I will never take my pets anywhere else. The people at All Pets cared like she was part of the family. The didn't treat her like a rodent like others had. They treated her as an equal and cared for her as such.

I took my Green Cheek Conure here for a wing and nail trim. I waited in the waiting room for over an hour and then paid $50 for those two services. Extremely overpriced, especially considering the wait time before hand. They also have stray dogs and cats running around all over the clinic. There were 2 cats and a dog sleeping in the exam room I was in. Makes it hard to have a clean office...very unimpressed. Will not be returning.
To their credit, the staff was nice...but that's not enough.

I would not take any of my pets anywhere else because I have not seen the level of compassion, professionalism and love anywhere else. They have saved lives, given gentle passage when there was no hope and fought to save each and every pet. From a wild bird to a tiny iguana to our cats and beloved dogs. Walking into All Pets is like a journey to the Peaceable Kingdom. A safe and loving place with people I can trust to care for and help me pets.

Had my dog in for surgery and during his visit another condition was identified, but we were NOT notified. Both my wife and I called to check on him and nothing was mentioned about the NEW condition. When we went to pick him up, it was "oh, by the way" he now needs a new med and you need to be shown how to apply it. The doctor may be good, but I have never talked to her. The receptionist even wrote a message while I was there for the doctor to call, but NO CALL YET. I would have appreciated a simple "sorry, we forgot to let you know," but we did not receive that even after they called the tech on duty during the surgery.

I don't think my sweet corgi would be here if it weren't for Dr. Harrington and her staff. I was so happy with the care they put into diganosing her disease and the treatment to nurse her back to life. I am an R.N. and Nancy worked with us by allowing us to give her the 5th through 8th day of necessary IV fluids at home to help bring down cost. She knew that we were about to have a baby and we just couldn't afford a total of 8 days in the hospital. I was quite hesitant in the beginning when I saw all of the staff's rescued animals running around the vet. Over time I grew to love this. Sure, it's hard to keep it smelling good but I know they clean the place every night (as I visited Little anne in the hospital). This is a vet! It's going to have a smell to it. If a fantastic smelling place is your priority then pay the big bucks, but you probably won't get quite the compassion and effort to care for your pet.

All Pets is AMAZING. They saw my puppy at a very short notice, I was seen within five minutes of arriving. Since we didn't know why my dog was sick, they came out to the car and escorted me in. After that, they gave him fluids and sent us on our way with antibiotics. Once we got home, he took a turn for the worse and at 8:45 pm one of the tech's met me at All Pet's to take my dog in. They kept him for 4.5 days and nursed him back to health since he had a canine virus. I had taken my dog to another place a few months ago when he got into the garbage and got sick (right after I moved to Norman) and the emergency center charged me $500 for 6 hours while the vet charged me $400 for keeping him for a day! All Pets charged me not even a fourth of what these places charged me! They run their place unconventionally, which I love because it reminds me of my funky hometown, but more importantly it's run like a place that cares about animals and owners, not a corporate money making business. I will go here for as long as I live in Norman! All Pets is GREAT!

My Parents took their bird to this vet for a routine beak trim. The doctor told her assistant not to hold the bird to tight because they can easily suffocate. A few min later my parents watched their bird that they had for 7 years get killed in front of their eyes. Accidents happen, but this was a huge one!!!

She was the ONLY vet, including emergency vets that would come to the house to euthanize my 14 year old 117 pound disabled dog that was in horrible pain from cancer after taking a sudden turn at 5am. She was ill, it was on a Sunday, and she did not accept any money that day. Still, she willingly came to ease his pain. She was knowledgeable, compassionate, kind and my neighbor told me about her successful chemotherapy treatment of a friend's dog. She helped found Second Chance and works with Wildcare. She is wonderful!!!!

Dr. Harrington is the most compassionate and knowledgeable veterinarian I have ever come across in all my years as a pet owner. As a matter of fact, my husband and I consider her a miracle worker. Our little dachschund-mix fell very ill one day a couple of years ago, and we thought it was his stomach. One vet even misdiagnosed him as having GI problems and prescribed him medication to treat it. Still, the next day, our dog showed no signs of relief, so we took him to Dr. Harrington because we'd heard such fabulous things about her from our friends and a neighbor. She quickly assessed our dog and diagnosed him with a spinal injury. By then, it was very serious, and we thought he'd be paralyzed for the rest of his life. Dr. Harrington and her staff kept him overnight for a few night to utilize a progressive round of steroid treatments, and we were able to bring him home. He still could not walk, but Dr. Harrington and Peter encouraged us to keep up hope, telling us he would eventually be able to walk. Well, it's been two years, and I just got done taking said dog on a walk. You'd never know that our "son" had once been nearly-paralyzed. As for the urine smell mentioned in another review, I had noticed it a couple of times whenever I'd been in there. However, they were all very busy, and when time permitted, someone came out and cleaned it up. I was just in there yesterday and today with another dog of mine, and the place was very clean and smelled great. I think it's just one of those things that happens on a busy day with too many patients - because Dr. Harrington is reluctant to turn down any patient. I believe they take on too much and sometimes get overwhelmed. I'd rather smell urine than lose one of my "kids."

One thing that Dr. Harrington has is compassion. Not only for animals but for people as well. I have used All Pets for a number of years and have never been disappointed. I have never met a vet that is willing to pick up an animal from an elderly woman's house so he could be seen. Nor have I met a vet that is willing to make a house call at 3 in the morning. And to add on to one of the previous comments about the smell, accidents happen expecially when you are taking in a lots of stray dogs who may have never been in a building before in their lives. Many of the dogs that are running around have come from abusive pasts, who can blame them for not always making it out side. Also I have a very nervous dog and I think that all of the other animals running around made him feel comfortable. Dr. Harrington is one of the best vets in town, I highly recommend her.!

All Pets was recommended to me by two co-workers, both of whom could afford to take their pets to any clinic in town. What was said, and what I confirmed with my own experience, is that Dr. Harrington truly cares about animals and is also very knowledgeable and up-to-date on issues and treatments for all types of pets. My pet is my "baby" and I'll admit the urine smell at the clinic (mentioned in another reviewer's comment) did bother me, but I overcame that upon meeting the doctor. She did not rush me through the exam, had an obvious love for animals, and was very thorough in diagnosing and treating the issue at hand. On top of that, the prices for both services and products at the clinic can't be beat. In addition, Dr. Harrington is knowledgeable on natural remedies for certain ailments, which can also save on the cost of care and is preferable to prescriptions for some individuals.

Dr. Harrington and Peter at All-Pets is a top notch vet clinic. They truly see all pets. When my son's parakeet was dying due to a run-in with our cat, we rushed it to All-Pets since they were the only ones who would treat our bird. The bird died the next day, but they treated my son with great care when we went back to pick up the beloved pet for burial. He was also grateful when he received a condolence card from them in the mail. All our other pets have been treated there with the utmost care. We aren't just a way to pay for the doctor's new car, but co-caretakers of God's gifts to us.

While they have the best prescription food prices around for our dog, I would never take my pet here. The odor of urine is overpowering when you open the door. Dogs and cats are allowed free roam of the place (they have an adoption center there for stray animals), and while I don't have a problem with that, I do have a problem with them using the restroom everywhere. I honestly don't know how they work in the building - it makes my eyes water. The staff are very nice, but again, I just can't get over the smell.
