Extremely disappointed and sickened by the treatment my father's cat received at the hands of Robin L. Johnson at the Southern Agriculture in Broken Arrow, OK. Today, my father brought in his cat to be spayed. Unbeknownst to my father, who had taken this poor girl in as a stray, the cat was pregnant. Instead of contacting my father to let him know, Robin L. Johnson took it upon herself to complete the spaying and discard the kittens. How dare she make this decision without consulting my father! Poor excuse for veterinary service!

Sadly I am familar with Jamie B. and Brenda F. Ms. B worked for the clinic briefly before filing a workers comp claim and giving its insurance company a ride. Ms F left instead of being terminated. I have been a client of the hospital for a number of years and always received quality care for my pets. Service has been exceptional and no one is more caring for the pets than Dr. Johnson.

They would write it because it's true. I used to work there and although this particular instance happened after I left, (but a friend that left because of that told me about it) there were times during our meetings when it was suggested as a solution if for some reason ashes couldn't be located. It was Dr Johnson's cat's ashes that she kept in her office and her idea. She also plays favorites with her clients and treats her employees like crap. Very high turnover there. That includes doctors. Dr Round left and so did Dr Jeff Owens (who is now at Elm Creek).
Ironic because that clinic stopped doing business with one of the cremation companies for delivering ashes for an animal that had never been picked up.

I don't knoW why the last person would post this. I have been going to Riverbrook since they opened, and both Dr. Layton and Dr. Johnson are amazing! I trust them with my three pets. First of all, it sounds like hearsay from a competing vet office. Secondly, who waits a year to get a pet's ashes! As crude as this may sound, a vet office is not a storage facility. I am deeply sorry when I hear that anyone has suffered the loss of a pet, but whomever it was entrusted a wonderful vet office to care for him/ her when he/ she was alive. Thirdly, are there any other explanations? Were the ashes ever tested and declared to not be the pet in question? Lady you're ridiculous! Find some evidence to back up your ludacris claims! Riverbrook and staff are amazing!

i currently work at a different hospital here in tulsa, oklahoma. Our company does a lot of services with a company called Companions forever which is cremation for pets that have been deceased. The ladies that work there told me a very heartbreaking story involving the doctors at Riverbrook Animal Hospital. The story is as follows. Their hospital was holding ashes for one of their clients for over a year. They sent the ashes via mail but the lady never got them. But the lady came back a year later wanting her ashes. So instead of telling the lady that her cats ashes were thrown away, one of the doctors used her old cat ashes and put the ashes in a pets at peace box (which is another place that cremates pets). The lady a long time ago used Companions to do all of the services. To make the story worse, the client wanted to upgrade her urn for "fluffy" so she simply went to the place that she used before she moved which was Companions. The companions staff told her that, that wasn't their box that they put her cat in before. As the story goes, Riverbrook never got caught and they played it off. But how gruel and uncompassionate are the doctors at Riverbrook to put THEIR pets ashes in place of a client that lost her best friend? Needless to say the client has the ashes of one of the doctors cat rather than the clients "fluffy" I wouldn't recommend their services at all. This is unethical.

Riverbrook is right down the street from me and I take my cats there. Its easy for me to get there with them. Dr. Johnson and Dr. Jeff are great with them and are good about returning calls and answering questions. They are efficient and love animals. They care about your feelings, as well. The hours are shorter than I would like. I would trust my animals to them anytime.

PROS: Good location; competant staff, great care.
CONS: On the expensive side
