1 Stars: Contract cancelled but they're still taking my money! (by Jaime D.)

After 10 ten years of being a customer, I finally decided to stop tanning. I understood and was willing to pay out the remainder of my 2 year contract. Most people's complaint is that they can't get out of their contract. I however finished my contract and have in writing from the company that it has been fulfilled and my bank account would no longer be drafted. Yeah right! I have since had to change banks to get them to stop stealing my money. Now they've threatened to send my to collections. I have filed a complaint with the BBB and am seriously considering getting an attorney. DO NOT USE THIS FACILITY IF YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON IT!

1 Stars: At The Beach Inc is a bunch of lying scum bags (by melissa w.)

These people are a bunch of scam artists! From the sales people in their stores to the CEO. No one will talk to you poor customer service, I've been lied to and sworn at by the store managers. They tricked me into signing a 2 year contract and have now found out that they will auto renew it if I do not call to cancel before the renew date. The are drawing money from my account when I have asked them repeatedly not to. BEWARE!! There also a story on Fox 31 about their unethical business practices. Would give them negative stars if I could. Oh and By the way, when was the last time you have to provide a finger print to go tanning?? I call them "Big Brother Tanning"

1 Stars: At The Beach Inc is craptastic! (by Lindsey A.)

I signed a contract with this company when I was pregnant with my 2nd child. I signed up for mystic tanning and was told that if I wanted to change to regular tanning after I had my child that would be no problem. I ended up hating the mystic tan and when I went to change to regular tanning was told I would have to sign another contract. This company is ridiculous.

1 Stars: run the other way (by tara f.)

not only was i a member of atb for two years but i also worked there for a long and painful three months after my contract came to an end. i figured free tanning was worth it. OMG it was the most scandelous company iv ever been in contact with. they even MADE us go to classes without pay that taught us how to respond to customers with bold face lies yet desguise them. they said if you get caught then just say it was a mistake. if we didnt meet our quota on lotion then we were fired. thats why atb employees are sooooo annoying. our jobs depend on it! i ended up quiting shortly after being hired because they were not paying me for all the hours i worked and were holding money out of my paycheck that my manager had failed to deposit. they are all liars and not to mention the rudest group of people i was ever around. my tip to customers... dont tan there.

1 Stars: Tan Here if You Want Your Money Stolen From You (by Jessica S.)

Scam, Scam Scam. They don't care who you are, or which contract you signed, if you give them your credit card numbers they will charge you EVERY month until you call them about it and then they give you the run around with corporate and all that business. Find a local salon that wont screw you over.

1 Stars: Cancer? Who cares! (by Jean T.)

Just called their corporate offices because I've had some pre-cancerous spots come up on my face since starting tanning.. just had one taken off. The ONLY option open to me is to pay 1/2 the remaining balance ($178.75) OR upgrade to the spray tan (no UV).

DEFINITELY not upgrading for an orange tan.. just wish they'd been up front with me when I signed up for this.

The number is: 866-690-9080, x25, I think I talked to Cindy. She sounded like she'd talked to people like this before. I was really nice and didn't start making excuses.. she just sounded really nervous.

1 Stars: Just say no to At the Beach!!!! (by Lindsay H.)

This place is evil. I just wanted to tan for a month but the girl who helped me secretly filled out a month to month contract agreement without telling me first! So I ask her if I had just signed a contract or what? She says you can just cancel it, so I asked her for a cancellation form and she said I could get it the next time....I guess part of their strategy is hoping you will forget to cancel. So then she asks if I have eye wear and I say no, she pulls out a bucket and tells me to choose a color and then tacks on another $6 again without telling me first! Every time I would come into to tan after that I would have my arms full with my purse, cell phone, keys and a change of clothes to go to work from school, and the obnoxious white eyeliner girl has the nerve to ask to see my eye wear, like I'm a child who doesn't know better than to cover my eyes when I tan, I paid for them...why wouldn't I have them!!?? After this happens to me about 3 times I ask her why she asks me this EVERY time, she says, "the FDA says you must wear goggles"...Then why can't they provide them?? Oh thats right they are too busy trying to rip everyone off than to provide good customer service! Oh and the one time I forget my goggles I have to pay 51 cents for a pair of stickers AND they write the date on the stickers so you can't use them again, like they are in fear of someone using them twice. Seriously??!!! And not to mention they ask me to buy lotion EVERY SINGLE time I come in there, and every time I tell them I don't have the money but they still hassle me. I hate this place!!! I cringe every time I walk in there and see those annoying girls that are WAY too tan. When my contract is up I will never step foot in an ATB again and I mean it!!! So tell everyone you know how evil this place is.

1 Stars: ATB IS BAD (by Beth P.)

I was living in Norman when I was introduced to ATB for the first time. I told the manager that was trying to sign me up for a 2yr contract that I would be moving to Stillwater in a few months. He just pushed the issue aside and told me 'that was no problem' that you could tan at any ATB anywhere! I was pumped because I loved the bed I tanned in for the free trial! Before signing I made him assure me that there was one in Stillwater. He promised and said he knew a good buddy that lived there.
I just moved. There is NO ATB IN STILLWATER. Never has been. I went back to the Norman store to find out that the manager was fired because of dishonesty. I thought surely they would help me cancel this membership that I can't use now that I've moved. All they said was 'sorry, he wasn't a very good person.' 'We can't do anything about it. Corp. wont let us cancel any contract'
So now I have to go through the 50 steps of canceling it myself along with $75. I am so surprised that after reading all the negative posts that they are still in business. DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT WITH THIS COMPANY!

1 Stars: So you thought you could freeze the account? (by sabrina l.)

I signed for a 2 year membership. I was told I could freeze the account for a fee and that although money would continue to be removed from my bank account, I could still receive 24 months of tanning. I used 4 months before freezing the account because I did not wish to tan in the winter. When I returned to unfreeze the account, all went well until I froze the account a second time and was not told I could only freeze for 90 days. When I returned to unfreeze my account, I found that my membership had expired. I paid over a thousand dollars for a few months of mystic tan, which is better than skin cancer, but is a sloppy, sloppy system. be warned!

3 Stars: Kelly (by Kelly B.)

I've been going to At The Beach on 61st and Memorial for 2 months now. I've had a pretty good experience thus far. I am very fair skinned and getting married soon and one of the managers helped me to create a "tan plan" to get a base tan to start without burning. Things have been clean and the customer service has been as decent as can be expected for people getting paid $8.00/hr. The only complaints I have are, yes they are a little pushy about sales. I feel like every time I come in they try to push a product on me. Also, when I was signing my contract for a year, I read through everything and noticed that the manager had put 24 months instead of 12 months. When I brought it to her attention she said, "Oh, my mistake." I'm sure I would have been locked into a 2 year contract had I not noticed that. Also, READ YOUR CONTRACT! There is a clause that says you need to give a 30 day written notice of cancellation. Yeah, it's not the most ethical practice, but it's written right there in the contract. Learn to read the fine print.

1 Stars: You WILL regret it!!! (by Burgundy J.)

I went to at the beach tanning and the sweet little orange lady told me that I should sign a two year contract and I would get all this free stuff! I told her that I would be moving to a town where there is no at the beach facilities and she said, no problem. If it's more than 25 miles away, just let me know and I will cancel your membership. Sounded like I couldn't lose! Well, when I moved, I called and the same sweet peach said that she could not cancel it for me and that I would have to call corporate. I called corporate and they said I needed to send them 2 proofs of change of address, a copy of my new driver's license with my new address, a copy of a paycheck or proof from my new employer, $75 money order and more. It's been a year since I've moved and I've yet to change the address on my driver's license. Who has the time for that? Now, I have been sent to collections for $1,200! I tried to cancel, but they make it near impossible and extremely unpleasant.

5 Stars: I am shocked (by Hailey O.)

I would first like to say that At the Beach has changed, for the better! I think that some people should really give it another shot before throwing in the towel. There is a cancellation policy now, there are no longer 36 month agreements, and you cant even do 24 months unless you have fitness. You can do single sessions, month to month, 6 months, 1 year and 2 year agreements. You can cancel at anytime and the staff isn't nearly as pushy as in previous years. As for your freeze option, you must go into the store 10 days before your payment date to put it into affect. VERY SIMPLE! If you don't feel that everything has been explained to you. Ask questions! The staff is extremely knowledgeable and more friendly now then ever! I love the 31st store. Everyone is helpful and attentive and it's always clean! Plus they know you by name. At the very least go take advantage of your free week of tanning or fitness. What have you got to loose!?

2 Stars: No Fun At the Beach (by gary h.)

My 19 year old daughter went there alot I always gave her cash because I didnt trust those places, the one time I was out I gave her my debit card and they pounced on it, she told me later they always pestered her everytime she went in there, the sales rep told her this time it was cheaper by the month and she could cancel anytime, and when she told them it wasnt her debit card they said "your dad wouldnt care". She was young and naive and trusted them and signed the papers. I eventually got a credit report in the mail stating they were going to pursue this as a legal debt and if I didnt pay her credit would be ruined. When I talked to the sales rep and asked her why she did this to my daughter, she just smirked out "because I am a monster". I do think we have some rights and decided to go to small claims over this, for one thing my daughter is unemployed, she goes to school and has a one year old child, and could never qualify for a loan. Further this contract is an assumption of debt and has no consideration and there is nothing to give back to them that they own. A finance company would have never loaned her the money, and I didnt give her authorization to use my card for any long term contract, had they called me I would have told them no way ever. Wish me luck in small claims court, I have been told they have a D minus rating at tthe Better Business Bureau. In the meantime, in my opinion I think it is good advice to stay away from this business!!!

3 Stars: Tanning Place Caution (by Lea C.)

I've read most of the reviews and I am one of the persons that signed a 24 month contract for all the beds plus mystic tan. Mystic tan turns you orange unless your already tanned. Then ATB brings in the Holly Grail of sunless tanning, Versa Spa sunless tanner booth. Okay I tried it once and fell in love cause I have a horrible time tanning and don't have the patience so not thinking I sign up for the Versa to be added to my package and here I am with 2yrs left of the contract when I could have only had 1 more year left. I pay $59.63 a month and I hate it but I have myself to blame. I was not lied to in any way regarding my contract I just figured I would be okay financially. I use the 15th and Lewis location and only the guys are pushy with the selling practices, I go in a couple times a week. I simply listen to what they have to say regarding whatever product and I say NO, I dont need it nor want it. It works like a charm and they shutup, lol. The only thing that did piss me off is I purchased some tanning items back in February and it didnt show on my bank statement where they took it out of my account when I used my debit card. Well 2 months later bam! My bank account gets overdraft fees cause ATB decided to change banks and NOT TELL ANYBODY!!!! OMG! Hello! People have bills to pay and crap, they could have sent out an email or made phonecalls but NO! ATB corporate didnt give a care. Anyways, I had to pay the fees and suck it up cause God forbid ATB take responsibility for their actions. Thats my only complaint. When my tanning contract is up I am telling them to kiss my butt!!!!

1 Stars: How are they still in business - someone needs to close this place! (by Staci H.)

I agree with all of the comments about At the Beach being pushy, condescending, and impossible to work with. I got into a month to month and tried to cancel. I went in to cancel and the girls said no problem and she'd take care of it. The charges kept showing up and I tried several times to call. Finally, I found out I had to sign something to cancel. I called to get a refund for the charges from the time I thought I'd been cancelled and got nowhere with Corporate. I was transferred several times without hearing my issue and ended up at collections to pay them!?!?! After reading everyone's posting, I realize I am not going to be getting a refund. Hopefully, the charges will stop. It just shows that they are a dangerous company even without a contract.

1 Stars: At the Beach / Bad Business Practice - Stay AWAY! (by natalie t.)

I walked in At the Beach at 15th and Lewis to learn more and learn about a monthly tanning package that I was accustomed to at other locations. After the lengthy tour and sales pitch of services I didn't want, the sales person then started plugging me into the system so I could tan while I was still asking questions about prices and contract length. Well, after explaining over and over that I did not want a 2-year or 1-year contract, it came time for payment and signing of the contract. I signed as he went along explaining that he would make something work for me (he was wheeling and dealing). I finally felt uncomfortable enough with the process, that before I handed over my credit card I told him I changed my mind and no longer wanted a membership or to tan. Well, well...surprise, surprise! I was told since I was already in the system, there was no way of canceling. What?! I haven't paid for anything. He then said he was sorry in a condescending tone and told me to call corporate because there was nothing he could do. Excuse me?! I haven't paid or tanned...I want nothing to do with this place.

I called the corporate office 4 times while I was standing at the front counter and kept getting a voicemail where they claimed would call me back (untrue). Uhmm...so I'm basically stuck in the store, don't want to provide payment, don't want a contract, and somehow the sales person comes up with a brilliant solution to pay for one month and it would all be refunded and canceled through corporate.

Long, long story short...I ended up paying for one month to get out of the store. After days of calling corporate over and over, and explaining the situation I was told that I can cancel my contract because I sent notice to them via certified letter within 24 hours, but I get no refund. Ridiculous!

At the Beach is a con. Stay away!

1 Stars: Rip off (by Melanie B.)

I was sucked in with the promise that I could also freeze my account any time I wanted. I was also told that my membership included any bed that they had. Today I was told that I could upgrade to the new beds for no more cost. When I asked if it extended my contract, they said it would extend it 6 months. So, no, my membership doesn't cover every tanning option they have, and I can't freeze my account whenever I want. Don't believe anything they say!!!! Call the Better Business Bureau on this company.

5 Stars: WOW!!!! Thanks for the HEAD'S UP (by Angie R.)

I have visited the ATB several times at the location at 31st & Garnett and have always received a very bad vibe from them. I kept thinking the my experience would be better every time, but it was not to be. The staff has always been very rude, condescending, arrogant and of course pushy w/ their sales! I knew a girl through an acquaintance that worked there as a "manager" or "assistant manger" (whatever qualifies you for that position, I HAVE NO IDEA) and she mentioned, bragged if you will, that she made over $60k a year salary by selling contracts. She was only in her mid-20's. Come on now, all that money w/ no education?? I am all about customer service, I have been doing it my entire working career & that is quite a few yrs., and they are far from having any good customer service skills!!! They are over priced. I will continue going to Midnight Sun as long as I need 24 hour tanning. And the person who left this title: "KUDOS to At The Beach 31st / Garnett", must work there and make a profit from all of that hate that place. Thanks again for the heads up and confirming my suspicions.

2 Stars: not sure about contract (by natalie n.)

I have had a contract with at the beach for almost 2 years , I have read the small portion of the contract that is given to us, what it doesn't say is "If you change your contract in any way what so ever it will automatically renew the contract. they are high pressure sales which gets old because the products there are expensive about 50.00 and up a pop. I plan to cancel my contract as soon as the date expires which is in March, I asked the guy at the counter about the renewal and he says it just goes month to month after the contract is finished,I have a hard time believing this tho so I am just going to cancel it. When I started, they had a freeze option and I did freeze it once but the guy at the counter says he cannot access any extra time I may have because it is under the old contract and they don't do that anymore. They led me to believe that I could freeze it anytime and for 6 months a year which is not true. the contract says 3 times a year for 3 months max.I think I am going to find a place with no contracts because places like that are more friendly and honest to keep your business.I always get a bed but I don't think the people working there are sure of the contracts they tell you what you want to hear.

1 Stars: Bold Face Liars (by C B.)

I received a coupon in the mail for one month free tanning. I called and asked the gal what the catch was and she said there was no obligation to purchase anything for the free month tanning. I went in the next day and looked the gal in the eye and asked her "Do I have to purchase anything to get the free month of tanning?" She said "No.". One week into my tanning they told me my free time was up and that I would have to purchase a package to get the rest of the month free. I reminded her that wasn't what I was told and she just smiled and said "I'm sorry." in a very patronizing tone. They are just a bad company with no integrity.

2 Stars: contract cancellation (by Chemikal M.)

I just spoke with the ATB at 51st and Harvard. The young lady was pleasant and cooperative. I called to ask if it was possible to break a contract my stepdaughter had signed because with a new baby, two jobs and going to school, she doesn't have time to go. I was told that the only way to break one's contract is if you move 25 or more miles from the nearest ATB. I wonder if this is a new policy?

Anyway, if true, it seems that the person who posted about moving to OKC has grounds for getting out of her contract. Good luck!

1 Stars: HIGH PRESSURE sales (by D O.)

High pressure sales...every time I go in. Don't care if I just bought their "special of the day" the day before buy one get one free...they will still PRESSURE for more sales or upgrades. Rediculous and annoying. I have a keychain card to scan and a FINGERPRINT to tan! Someone must have ripped them off bad to require such high security to tan in a dirty booth. Oh yeah, and they don't offer towels in the rooms..you have to ask for one and make sure you bring your own goggles or you will be charged for a pair. Once I forgot to ask for a towel and OMG it was nasty gettting out of a hot bed. Please!! Go somewhere else and forget the CONTRACTS!!

1 Stars: No fitness facilities outside Tulsa (by Katherine S.)

I singed up a year ago in Tulsa for their fitness facilities but the best deal at the time included fitness and tanning. At the time, I got the standard line about being able to use any of their facilities anywhere. Sounded good to me, so I signed on the dotted line and LOVED the Tulsa facilities. Then I moved back to the OKC area a few weeks ago. The one thing they neglected to tell me is that there are NO fitness facilities outside of Tulsa despite the fact that I told them REPEATEDLY that I was interested in the fitness side and not so much the tanning. Sure, I tanned because it was included, but I've NEVER signed up for a tanning membership anywhere. Upon discovering that there are no fitness facilities besides Tulsa, I called into the corporate office. Left a message, no return call. Called and talked to SUSAN, their supposed customer service person and she put me on hold and said that their Office Manager told her that they could discount my charge by $10 per month for no fitness. $10?!?! That's just CRAZY! I mean, I was nice and courteous and I think I'm a pretty reasonable person who's willing to pay out my contract, but considering the bulk of the membership I desired is no longer available, I would think that I'd get way better than $10 off my bill. So, I asked to speak directly to the Office Manager. I was told that she was on "the other line" and would call me back. Guess what!?! The OM never called back. I've since called in twice and left messages with Susan. I think she's avoiding my calls because I always get kicked to voice mail and after two weeks, still no call back. As someone who consults with companies on providing better customer service, I'd LOVE to do some training there, I'd make a MINT!

1 Stars: Very immoral and overbearing sales staff (by Ashley N.)

Like so many others, I was suckered into this ridiculous contract. I went in and specifically requested the month to month tanning for $25 a month that they were advertising. With their very overbearing and pushy sales tactics I found myself intimidated and signing a two year contract under the impression that I could cancel for a fee at a later date if I so elected. Just a few months later I became pregnant. Even with a medical reason AND doctor's note saying that under no circumstances could I tan would they let me out of the contract. I went all the way to corporate to get nothing more than a hateful, condescending woman basically saying "tough sh*t". So for nine months I paid for a tanning membership that I can't use. What's really sad is every time I go in to tan (now that I'm not pregnant) I see some poor soul getting suckered into a contract by their high pressure sales. I feel torn between telling them not to do it or trying to persuade them to just take over my contract! I make sure to tell everyone I know just how unsatisfactory their facility is and I would not under any circumstances recommend them to anyone.

Hi all. I have tanned regularly for years at Midnight Sun, a 24 hour tanning salon with NO CONTRACTS WHATSOEVER. I have had a wonderful experience since I have stepped foot in this salon. The staff is friendly, honest, and the atmosphere is quite welcoming. I tried ATB as well like most of you, and like most of you, was quite dissatisfied.

but the exact same thing happend, when you are 19 and someone tells you that you can cancel at anytime or suspend your contract..you will believe them. I didnt have a bank account and they had me sign up for one at ace check center which is not a bank..they take advantage of naive people, they are trained to say what needs to be said to lock people into 2 year contracts..it was my fault i signed it but at the same time when they sign people up they make it seem like it's not a big deal, you can cancel it if you move to a different state.now i have been sent to a credit collection agency and i have to pay for a year and a half of tanning i have never used..bottom line if you arent using a service you should not be expected to pay for it..do not be an idiot use a decent tanning place, support your local tanning salons not these greedy people..

Absolutley a tanning cult as posted on here. I just wanted to tan. They wanted me to just "TAN FOR FREE" try it, but sign here with your bank account. When I got back to work and started telling coworkers of my horrible experience at lunch on 1-21-2008 they told me that they hated that place and they are part of an class action lawsuit against them. In my unit there are 16 people and 4 girls told me never to go there, so listen to them as I should have. my tanning search continues

4 Stars: At the Beach (by Ms B.)

The only issue I have had with them is with daycare. (I actually really love the gym itself, always clean and the people are for the most part are really friendly and helpful) They told me when I signed up that the daycare was separate, and not part of my contract. I specifically asked about that, because by the time my contract is up, my kids will have been too old for the daycare for some time anyway!

When I tried to cancel the childcare portion, the manager said I couldn't. I just decided to suck it up and I just make sure to always take my kids so I at least get something out of it.

Other than that, yeah, I'm wishing I hadn't signed up for three years, but not because of any problems with the gym, but because now I'm a fitness instructor and being offered a good job and membership at another gym:( I'm still glad I did sign up though, because the cost forced me to workout regularly, and THAT has changed my life. So, I guess that's life. I knew what I was getting into when I signed up, and I took a chance. I've been going there over a year now and I really enjoy it.

I don't tan often enough for the tanning I added on either... heavy sigh. If anyone wants a membership for all the fitness and unlimited tanning AND daycare, I'll sell it to ya and pay the transfer fee.

3 Stars: My take on it. (by Patti S.)

Thankfully, my 3 year membership will be over in February 2008. I signed up for the whole she-bang. I must say it was not necessarily a pushy sales staff, it was my overzealous, just after the New Year, with a resolution to lose weight, get in shape and be beautifully bronzed.

I will be the first to admit, I haven't worked out as much as I should.

My chief complaint is their Mystic Tanning system. I have tried it at several locations. I have completed exfoliated, used the barrier cream, everything it says to do and their Mystic is horrible 8 out of 10 times. From only spraying below the chin to the tops of the thighs, or "spitting" it solution out so it looked like my whole body was freckled to so much solution that it ran in streaks down my body.

I purchased the Mystic with the thinking that it would be safer than a UVA tanning, but personally, Jergens Natural Glow works much better and is much cheaper!!!

5 Stars: KUDOS to At The Beach 31st / Garnett (by Carrie M.)

I'm really surprised at all the bad experiences everyone has had with At The Beach. I go to the one at 31st & Garnett and the staff is WONDERFUL!! First of all, I wasn't pressured into anything because I had the common sense to read the fine print and to not sign up for more than I could handle. I only signed up for the fitness portion of the club which includes the toning beds. I only pay $27 a month, that's less than $1/day. Gee, how can a person go wrong? When the gym was too hot last month, I called the corporate office in OKC and within the week Monica made sure the VP knew about the problem and she had the air conditioning fixed and it's great now. They're always very accommodating. They also have daycare that people can inquire about. Personally, I don't understand why a person would bring their children when they tan or work out if they can't go in the daycare area. Here's a thought: get a babysitter or a friend to watch your child for an hour. Good grief, don't any of these women have common sense anymore??

1 Stars: No children allowed? (by S. P.)

I have been tanning at At The Beach for 5 months, with my mature 10 yr. old waiting in the lobby. Recently I was told she could not wait in the lobby, as there was a liability issue, & At The Beach would not be responsible for her. They said she could wait outside or in the car. No where is it disclosed that children of any age cannot wait in the lobby. One store told me kids had to be 12 & another told me 11. So, what is expected from me to prove her age when she does turn 11 or 12? And should it not have been made clear that it's a policy of there's? And what age is it? I=As a single mother who has her daughter full time, this places a limitation on me to the point I cannot use the contract. I knew I signed a contract for 2 years, BUT NO WHERE DOES IT SAY MY DAUGHTER CAN'T WAIT IN A PUBLIC PLACE FOR HER MOTHER.

I looked over the reviews below..I believe and agree with everything everyone wrote below except the first entry? Were you Drunk? Do you own the place? Staff knowlegable? Great Place? I shopped around and all I needed to do was walk in there...yes its only $30 a month but for 24 months..plus a sign up fee..Ok across the street is a lil higher when it comes to one month..but its just that one month..not a total of over $800.00 to just tan. I rather pay $40 and go there 24 hrs a day and NO CONTRACT...that place was nicer and I didn't feel like I was buying a car.

2 Stars: "Tanning Cult" (by R M.)

At The Beach has a reputation of being something of a tanning cult; probably because the staff so adeptly traps people into 36-month contracts! Having worked in health club memberships which are remarkably similiar, I would caution anyone considering signing the contract which sets you up on automatic debits to your credit or checking account. Hypothetically you can remove yourself from automatic payment plans, but in reality it is almost impossible. I have several friends whose credit has been ruined by entanglements with At The Beach. As far as actually tanning, you can get the same results for far less at other places in Tulsa.

PROS: Good selection of beds
CONS: Lengthy contracts that are almost impossible to cancel payment on.

3 Stars: Watch out for this one! (by Gena R.)

The sales people are very pushy and dont seem to know what they are talking about. They are so pushy and fast talking that they cant remember what specials they have or how much anything costs. In one minute there is a enrollment fee, the next time its explained there is no enrollment fee and so on and so on. I loved the facility, so I signed the 36 month contract. I was told to pay one month in advance and I did. A few days later, I am reviewing my contract and noticed that the girl did not take off my first month payment from my balance. When I tried to contact the home office I was told to contact the sales person. She said I actually paid for 37 months. Once I joined I was just turned loose to figure things out on my own. After I figured things out, I really love the facility. I just dont care for the store manager nor their business practices. Alot of members complain about alot of various issues.

PROS: Love the members and toning tables
CONS: Bad sales practices and shady contracts.

At the Beach is the perfect place to keep yourself looking great. They have several types of tanning beds: all levels and prices, to help you get the perfect tan. Then, you can go right next door and workout. They have a great selection of exercise equipment to help you stay fit. Their hours are great and their staff knows what they are talking about. Great place
