This is the worst customer service that I have ever experienced in my life from a business. I live in Guthrie and wanted to call before I headed out to check on their return policy. I was told that they didn't do cash refunds (which kinda ticked me off but I rolled with it) but that they would do exchanges or store credit. Keep in mind that I bought this on Saturday and this was the following Tuesday. Also keep in mind that there were no other customers in the store when I made my purchase. Further keep in mind that the "receipt" that I was given was a carbon copy of the original that the store keeps. Anyway, when I explicitly asked what their policy was the only thing that the owner (who by the way has the social skills of chimpanzee) told me was that they didn't do cash refunds. When I finally arrived after a 40 minute drive I was told that I needed a receipt. When I explained that they have the original and that they should have told me that I needed the receipt when I called he told me that I "should have known to bring the receipt". When I told him that I just drove 40 minutes and again asked that they please retrieve my "original" sales receipt I was unkindly told to leave the store if I didn't like it. When I told them I thought their policy and customer service sucked I was followed out of the store and harrassed and threatened by a black-toothed scrounge store employee. Please do yourself a favor and drive the extra mile or two to Duval's etc. This place has no business being "in business". The funny thing is I called my bank and had the transaction voided within 5 minutes of leaving the store. What idiots!

Awesome!! Nichols carries more mtd parts than any other place I've found!! I very rarely have to wait for a part to be ordered because it's already in stock. They have always been honest and upfront. To the previous poster, anywhere you go, if you want an estimate of repairs, you ask for it! People are not mind readers. It's unfortunate that you had the experience that you did, but I think that this is a wonderful family business. We should all be thankful that we still have family businesses!

bad news mower shop! WE'VE HAD OUR SAME MOWER THERE FOUR TIMES AND THEY NEVER HAVE REPAIRED IT CORRECTLY... THEY DON'T DO ANYTHING CORRECTLY. WE FOUND THAT THEY FORCED OUR BELT ON INSTEAD OF TAKING IT APART TO PUT IT ON!

I have had a HORRIBLE experience with this so called 'mower shop'. I actually call it a 'rip off shop'. First of all, I had them repair a part on my mower. Cost: $55.00 After I got it home, a few days later, it broke again. EXACT SAME PLACE!!! I returned to the shop with my mower. However, this time it cost me $200.00. I asked them why they don't call customers when the cost is that large. They're response was that I didn't ask them too. The real answer is that they wanted more of my hard working money. After paying to get my mower back it worked for a few weeks. Currently, it is sitting out in the yard because it broke AGAIN!!! Same exact place. However, when I called them this time, they refused to fix it. So, I would NOT give this 'Nichols Mower Shop the time of day. They are a rip-off scam bunch of people!!! Cub Cadet beware!!!! You don't know who you are working with....

We have been using Nichol's Mower for many years now and have always found them to have reliable, quality service! Although they do not have a free quote, they do offer a 25.00 quote that is applied to your final bill if you choose to repair which is basically free. They are a quality business and I would recommend them to friends and family.
