this vets office is the most inhumane place that i have ever been to please someone let me know of a good attorney, they refuse to put my dog to sleep, he's suffering and lying there dying a cruel death, what ever you do please spread the word around and never let them touch your animal.

Actually, I wouldn't give them any stars but you have to give at least one!! My son took his dog for his annual shots and grooming and it was a terrible experience! They were going to keep him overnight and no one requested it since there was no reason not to take him back home that night!! But it gets even worse. My son took him to that clinic in June for a rabies shot and he was wearing a tag. It's hard to believe that anyone could be so incompetent but they gave him another rabies shot! They have given him 2 since June and he won't be one year old until later this month! Unbelievable such incompetency! Also, they charged for that shot. Personally, I wouldn't have paid for it. My son said it was worth it just to get away from there!

Do not go here....they are unprofessional and over-priced. I have always taken my two Chihuahua's elsewhere, but in the middle of winter my female was pregnant, as was I, and I needed somewhere closer. I took her in for an x-ray ONLY to see how many babies we were expecting....they talked me into this package that would include all her shots and boosters for a year, plus give me 20% off any other services needed. Since she's a small dog and could need help with the pregnancy I agreed. Low and behold, that initial visit was almost $600.00!! The package was only $175.00. They will charge you for ANYTHING! They also gave me a pager number for an emergency since she was due to give birth any day. When she did go into labor there were complications. We began paging the vet around 3 in the morning....no one ever called us back until 6 am. At that point the puppy was dead. Thanks for your help Village Vet. Then I began getting e-mails that it was time for her booster or rabies shot or heart worm medication....and yet every time I went in they wanted to charge me! Isn't this what I prepaid for??? They could never give me a straight answer, I always had to argue....ridiculous. They could never produce any sort of paperwork to show exactly what had been paid for. In addition to this, when you go in, even if you are the only one in there, you will wait forever before anyone acknowledges you. Then you will wait again forever before they take you back. This place is a joke.

Hmmmmm. First of all, I am NOT an employee. Our 12 year old terrier mix became ill and we took him to Village Vet because they are close to our house and the hours are very convenient for working folks. Yes, we did spend some $$, but everything was explained to us in advance and we were given the option to decline before tests and treatment were performed. Unfortunately our sweet dog died, but when I paged the doctor early that Sunday morning, he called immediately. Not sure who you all were dealing with but Dr. Walsh and his staff treated us and our dog very well. In fact, we just adopted another dog and are planning to take him to the clinic this weekend. I would (and did) recommend these folks to friends/family.

Okay...First of all, NO STARS! (But there is no option for that) We have had issues with being overcharged here before. But YESTERDAY IS WHAT CONVINCED US TO NEVER RETURN!
My goose was attacked by a bobcat yesterday evening and I managed to save him...All other vets closed at 5 and Village Vet (81st and Aspen) was open until 7. Well due to when the attack occurred, we didn't get on the phone with them until 6:45. But they agreed to stay open. But NOT ONLY were they going to charge us an extra HUNDRED DOLLARS for an "afterhour fee" (Excuse me...I'll try to plan my accidents out a little better in the future so it's convenient for YOU) BUT they wouldn't even TAKE A LOOK at him until they got payment. Well we were between paychecks and didn't get paid until Monday. A lousy 4 days away AND we were even going to leave our card number with them so they could take it out AS SOON as it went through. That wasn't good enough for them. Our usual vet doesn't do birds...BUT she ALWAYS lets us pay when we can and half the time when we go to HER, it isn't even an emergency! Village Vet doesn't care about the well-being of animals...All they care about is money. I would understand if we were new customers. But we've been there a few times before! (Out of desperation) Even with a little girl standing in their office sobbing over the body of her bloody, dying pet, NOTHING. I was DISGUSTED and we will NEVER return.
P.S. That IS pretty ridiculous that they have to have employees writing reviews on here trying to save face. VERY unprofessional, guys...Just like everything else you do.
And I agree with everyone on here who said they over charge AND they're disorganized. You wait in the office for close to an hour until the receptionists are done taking phone calls....They don't care about your pets. Their only concern is money...PLEASE do not take your pets here any longer!

??Teacup Pomerainian was just born the mother ripped the pups cord to far down and it was bleeding really bad. My daughter and I brought it in because our vet was closed.. the puppy was handed over to the girl working the desk ... at the same time a little girl (5yr old ) got up from the floor and ran back to see our puppy .. I never dreamt what happened next... that same little girl was standing in their hall holding my puppy half falling out of the bloody wash cloth we brought it in. I was horrified!!! Screaming at them to give me my puppy that wasnt even an hour old and that was brought in on an emergency! To see a CHILD holding a puppy that was brought in for emergency reasons and within 5 mins a child is holding it. That is so not professional and that child didnt wash her hands and could have transfered parvo or anything else from the dirty floor. SHAME ON YOU AND YOUR CLINIC AND EMPLOYEES!!!!!!

My rating is NO STARS DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU LOVE YOUR PETS!

Iam not the same Karen B as in other review.. I just hope you read all reviews and know there are more neg than positive reviews.

We have been using another Vet in South Tulsa but needed dental for the first time for our babydog. After phone interviewing several clinics, we choose their sister clinic - All Creatures - because of the location, price and staff knowledge. We knew an extraction was needed and wanted the most experienced staff to handle the procedure. Her annual exam was done on the same day. Everything was explained up front and we were able to opt out of anything we could not afford or did not find necessary. After the pain meds wore off, our little dog was not feeling well. I called for help on a Saturday night @ 11 PM and received a call back in 10 minutes. I definitely recommend both Village Vet and All Creatures.

I used to go to Village. Everytime I went there it was about $200 on up and we were in there usually no less than an hour at the least and sometimes we were there for 2 and 1/2 hours.
It's hard to keep a dog in a small room for that length of time. Add that to the fact that when you walked in the door you were standing there at least 10 to 20 minutes before they'd even help you.
I did like on of the vets I met there. He left and opened his own place about 3 years ago and I went there when I saw it was him. We're treated so much better now. Our original dog has passed away though and we just got another one so we're staying where we are.

Deception \r\nDavid D. 1 Village Vet Animal Clinic Pc \r\nVery disappointed, we moved here from out of state and just hand picked it from the directory, I did read some negatives but went anyway thinking it was just disgruntled patients being in customer service for over 30 years you get it all. We had rescued a little dog from someone moving and took him in, 1st $150 for an annual exam that turned into over $500 plus 2 days to stay all day for treatment. Then come to find out we were overcharged so the next 2 visits were free, ok can accept that, mistakes sometimes made. We rescued another dog and low and behold, told them she had her rabies but not sure about the other, took her in to be groomed, and guess what another $150 needed and then more charges to be had. We have chosen to get another vet. Very deceptive bait and switch tactics, you call and get a different answer everytime. No communication between the inner office staff at all.\r\nWe had another pet scheduled for a procedure but after all this mess, we chose to go elsewhere, when I called to cancel they weren't even concerned, my take on this is that they have more than enough clientele so no need to retain clients.

Wow, some of these reviews are HARSH! I take my 3 babies there and have had nothing but satisfaction. They have never tried to squeeze money out of me, or been rude, well one chick was, but she isn't there anymore.
Any way, I love Village Vet, they are wonderful, I would not take my babies elsewhere, we found our home. If you need a good vet, you could find it somewhere else, but if you want a GREAT vet, GO TO VILLAGE VET, you'll find him there!!!

Village Vet is all about getting every last nickel and dime out of their patrons. They will try to push overpriced medications, unneeded services and procedures, and whatever else they can to make a buck.

I do NOT recommend this clinic!!! They talked us into having a surgery on our dog that was old. Three days later and $650 later, our dog passed away. The surgery was too much for her and it was not an urgent surgery (to get a cyst removed). This was about a year ago and I still have so much guilt about them saying it "needed to be done".

I just wanted to write a review for this company. I know this is said a lot. I normaly do not right reviews but in my search for a cheaper clinic because of budget I wanted to see what my current clinic was rated. To say the least I was a little surpised with the reviews. I currently have been going to this clinic for about 2 years after we got our puppy and then kept going to it when we got our kitten 7 months ago. Both of these animals have had us running to the clinic for almost everything imaginable. We got our dog from this lady and she came with a skin rash, worms and flees. We got everything cleared with her and all it took was a special shampoo, flee meds and a shot. She was clear. (for a while) Everyone was nice and helpful. We waited for a little while but we didnt even had a appointment. We called ahead to see if it was ok and they said it was cool and we could show up anytime. (about a 15 min wait time) With our cat, we set an appointment because we got her from the pound. No wait time or anything we showed up at 12 ish...because we where late. (pounds only take cash and have no change( didnt know that...she was our first pet that we adopted from a pound) Took her in. Compleatly heathly (at the time) and she got her shots. Out in 15-20 mins. The doc was giving us the low down on how to take care of a cat and training. We also got some paper work for our kitty. Well 9 days later our kitty (ally) started sneezing... yep you guessed it she had an upper respiratory disease. She was pretty bad too. She was almost to the part of not even breathing and we couldnt get her to eat anything. The looked at her cleaned her face gunk up and gave us antibiotics. We expressed she wasnt eating so they gave us max cal. 24 hours past and she would not even touch the can max cal so I went back and they gave us the paste form of max cal. Our poor kitty survived on the paste giving twice daily for one week then she was able to breath and eat reg food. 2-3 month later we got the kitten and the dog fixed at the same time. (it seemed better that way) We took them in at 7am... no wait time. Picked them up at 4:30pm that night. They gave us take home sheet on how to care for them and gave us the doc phone number just in case we had any complications or question. (keep in mind this is our first time owning pets with out help of others. We are clueless and villiage vet are always compleatly helpful.) Ally riped 2 of her sitches 6 days laters. Called them up in a little panic (never went though this before) They said she could come in they where slow. Showed up 10 min wait time. They saw her... took her to the back... cleaned her up and added 2 staples to my kitty. One week later they both where seen and had there staples/ stitches taken out. This time they where really busy but a tech came out and did it in the waiting room so we didnt have to wait forever with a cat and dog and about 8 other people in a small waiting room.

So as far as my experances with them has been relatively good. I dont like how they take the animal to the back for testing and shots. When it came to me needing some one to help when my dog or cat scared me because they did something crazy....They where always there. Ohh also my dog (summer) desided she was going to eat mushrooms while my husband (who was watching a bird at the moment). Yes anouther time to where i rushed yet anouther animal to the vet for them to look at. Luckly summer pumped her own stomach and we just watched her very closely for 24-48 hours.

(prices are decent...lower then i seen in most place I am just expecting my first child in a month and both them desided to get worms... I have no idea how they could have gotten worms with as much snow as we have seen here but ohhh well)

I took my little boston terrier to Village Vet. I read these reviews before I did, and had it not been the only place that would see her after hours I would NOT have gone. But I could find nothing else. I had a Dr. and a tech meet me at the clinic at 2 am, they were incredibly nice and helpful. The next day I got a call from the Dr. at 8 am letting me know how my dog was and what needed to be done. After I took her home, the vet called me two days in a row...just to check on her!! I have never felt so comfortable leaving my pet with anyone as I do Village Vet. Now when I go in, I am greeting by everyone and my dog loves walking in the door. I am glad I went, Village Vet has the most caring, compassionate and loving employees. The Dr's are very knowledgeable and willing to do what is needed. THANK YOU VILLAGE VET.

Do not go HERE! I am a frequent flyer at vets/pet store due to rescue work.and other .. this place is worthless.. I took my pet in-with appointment- waited forever and then after the wait the vet looked at my dog for 30 seconds and was done... didn't even take temperature,, I had to ask .... I had to ask as the vet was leaving exam room what was even wrong.. they didn't give me any action plan and basically said PROBABLEY an upper respirtory infection -" NOT SURE"-I even had to ask for some prescription - anything for my pet to feel better...then the clerk gave me wrong medicine and had to wait another 30 minutes... plus they charged me $5.00 to clean their own exam room - said they clean it before my pet goes in -- so your charging me for someone's else dog... EXCUSE ME.. not the amount -- the principle of it,, just include it in the 52.00 vet examine fee- - plus when I asked about fees before I came in - they never mentioned that --These people have bad business skills, lazy, and do not know what they are doing... NONE of them... even other people coming in while I was there was treated rudely - as if it was inconvenience they had even come in the door...
** I have never written reviews on businesses, feel as though me not going back is review enough... BUT FELT LIKE OTHERS SHOULD NOT BE TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF AND I AM GOING TO GO OUT OF MY WAY TO TELL PEOPLE (REVIEWS) NOT TO GO HERE,..
Just go to Southern Agriculture where the people are friendly - professional, and the VETS know what they are doing.

OOH, and the reviews that list they will educate you and are polite --these reviews are apparently done by employess........I watched them let a woman walk out needing to know about worming - just leave without any information-- how is that educating)--

We had a puppy that we took in to be spayed. Were told that under 40 pounds was cheaper. I was told that it would be $225 to have it done and when I took her in they said that she had to have a heartworm test, and another test to make sure that she didn't have worms because that would affect the anesthesia. I was told this as we were signing her in. Then they charged more for pain control! I asked what they would do if I didn't do it and they said that we could give her benedryl. They did give her rabies shot and follow up distemper combo but we ended up having to come up with well over $400. Seems to me that if you do surgery on an animal the pain control should be included.

Cons: Not up front on charges and charge an unreasonable amount.

This vet is ran like a mechanic shop: You take your animal in for one problem, but they add tests and medications for "problems", which in the long run adds to the final bill. A couple of months ago I made an appointment for my dog. The vet did not even see us until an hour later after our scheduled time. Recently, we took a stray in because we thought it might have ringworm. They looked at the areas under black light and said she PROBABLY doesn't. They then gave her a shot for her allergies, among some other tests. Since she was a stray, her nails have not been clipped. They took it upon themselves to clip her nails without asking and then charged us for it. I could have taken her to Petsmart and had them grinded for a cheaper price. At the end of the visit, they still could not confirm whether she had ringworm-the original reason why we made an appointment. Our bill was almost $200. It makes me upset that we want to keep and help this stray out, but now we might not be able to afford to have her spayed and vaccinated because of the $200 bill. I do not recommend this place at all.

My dog has been a patient there for over a year . First visit there was great after that it has been a very pricey upsetting ordeal. They charge two much for their Advantage and then if you would prefer to use a 800 pet meds etc they will charge you $20 to write a prescription for the meds. When you bring your pet in for boarding if the dog ends up needing shots and they even thought the dog is already at their place they still charge you for an office visit. My biggest complaint when I came in the door they took my dog and walked away " I said where is he going" and they said we have him set up for boarding... my dog was there for his yearly exam and then my dog went thru the whole exam and then come to find out they messed up and has another dogs file. The vet started talking about how much weight my dog gained etc and they didn't even have the right dog. I do not recommend this place at all. I love my doggy and I know you do to ..please do not bring him there ..it is so unorganized and they charge you for every little thing.

I was referred there by family who had always talked highly of this clinic. I decided to have my cat declawed and spent the extra money to have the "laser" type surgery. I dropped him off at 8AM. 5:30PM comes, and no call from the clinic. I call, and the receptionist tells me that he has recovered from anesthetic and the vet will call me shortly. 30 min later he did, said everything is fine, that he will be sent home with his paws wrapped which THEY WERE NOT. The only take-home instructions they give me is to buy paper litter, which I did. I get him home, let him out of his crate, and he is STILL very unstable from anesthetics!! ONE WEEK LATER I walk into my living room to discover his paw bleeding all over my couch!! I call the clinic in a panic, they say to bring him in and they will be ready for him. I stand in the waiting room, no one says anything to me, they are busy answering phones until I say HELLO HE IS BLEEDING!! Then they charge me over $50 to clean and wrap his paws!! And then a couple months later they call me saying they have PRE-MADE an appt for his annual shots, in which if I did not call to cancel they would charge me!!!! ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!!! Do NOT under ANY circumstances take your pet here!! They try to take TOO MANY appts and have NO customer service!!!

I went into Village Vet about 3 weeks ago. I wanted to see if they would sell me just a one month's supply of Frontline. I used to go to Sheridan Road Vet in Tulsa and they would do that for me all the time for my 5 lb. Pom. There we 3 people just standing in the waiting area, one person behind the counter and chaos everywhere. I stood there for 20 min until I was finally sick of it and just asked from where I was standing about it. They said that because my dog wasn't "a patient" there that they could not sell me any. I was not greeted by anyone when I walked in. The lady behind the counter didn't act like she even knew what she was doing and she was answering the phone instead of helping people that were standing right in front of her. I will NEVER go back to a place that doesn't know how to provide customer service. No matter how much they love animals and blah blah, they have to treat the people with respect as well!

I brought my dog to Village Vet for a grooming. The office OWED me $5 from a previous visit where they could not make change for a cash payment. During check out, I inquired about the credit and was told they had no record of it and further I owed them $35 from a visit 2 weeks prior where they had under charged me in error. What!! I brought my dog in for a groom, I had a $5 credit and now I owe you $35 for an error you made 2 weeks ago!! After discussing this with the manager for 30 minutes, I was late getting my son from school & had to leave; they refused to give me my dog unless I paid the additional fee. I had to leave the dog and return to continue to resolve this matter.

That operates under the same guise. It is not the entire staff--the majority of doctors and staff genuinely care for the pets brought to them. The problem lies with poor management and with the owner of the clinics. The owner is very knowledgeable, but has poor time management skills, keeping appointments waiting inordinately long amounts of time. Most often, he is handling personal business while customers wait for their pets examinations. Just open the exam room door and listen if you have any doubt. He also speaks very degrading to his staff on occassion. Be aware that, at least in my experience, the staff and other veterinarians at these clinics are good people who genuinely care, but they are limited as to what they can do by the system they work within.

As an ex- customer of Village Vet, I can assure you that all this company cares about is the bottom dollar. I'll give you two personal stories... I took my dog in to be groomed ($40) and was called to let me know that he needed a booster shot to update his vaccinations. They charged me $60 for the shot, which is fine, but then charged me $54 for an office visit. He was already there being groomed in their office. Second story... I recently had to put my cat to sleep. I called ahead of time to get a price and was told around $90. As we are in the middle of putting a 15 yr. old friend to sleep, the vet tells me that the charge will be $129 simply because I wanted to be present during injections and that required a different catheter. So, if I had let them take her to the back and not been present, I would have saved money. Absolutely crazy! I think it's awful that their own employees have to write good reviews.

What in the world is going on here? Employees are coming here to write reviews? I'm doing research to find a new veterinary and I come across this? Very poor taste. No excuse for this. You are not defending the vet nor establishment by this. You are actually doing damage. I would never visit Village Vet do to what you have done. I know I could never trust the office if I was to go in. No matter what you are going to defend your job! So sad that an information sharing device has been compromised and tainted. Shame on you Village Vet Animal Clinic!

Village Vet is very professional and THOROUGH. They probably are not the cheepest place in town, but these are my kids I'm talking about here--it's not like just taking my car in to the shop. Their care and expertise is excellent! I feel like they always try to recommend the very best. "You get what you pay for" really is true and they are honest and care enough to recommend what would be best. I have been to clinics before where they just give a shot and rush you out the door and hope that it works because it's cheap that way, but that's not the kind of doctor I want my kids going to.

My first visit to Village Vet was quite pleasant. However, after that I thought I was in a nightmare. I took my puppy to get shots, a stool analysis and because she had a cough. I never saw the vet, only the technician, my puppy was taken to the back without me. That same night, she started throwing up. She could not even hold water down. I immediately called and wanted to make an appointment. The technician said I don't need to come in, it will all run its course and not to worry. I begged to make an appointment but they flat out refused. After she would not stop throwing up and seemed sad and sick, I took her to another vet. He then diagnosed my dog with coccilosis and kennel cough, both very serious conditions that can be fatal in young small puppies if untreated. Also, she had worms. I then called Village Vet to get my money for the stool analysis back since they obviously did not perform this service. They stated they did the test and I can have store credit. I do not feel comfortable bringing my dog back to this place so I don't want to have credit, but my money back. For all the other services, I do not mind paying, only the one they obviously did not do. \r\nAlso, they gave me a heart worm pill that was 4 years expired and when I told them they laughed about it saying ""good thing you didn't use it"". They could not find a worm pill in the whole place that was not expired. I am so mad and disappointed and can only suggest noone take their pets to this vet.

My review is not at all like the other individuals, mine is quite positive. My black male kitty-cat Louis lost a LOT of weight in a short amount of time, about half his bodyweight by the time I took him in. After many tests, and a 15 day hospital stay, and basically a lifelong prescription, they saved his life. I was SO grateful. He'd contracted Fatty Liver Syndrome, and his liver had nearly shutdown. He was so ill and near death, but they took great care of him and nursed him back to health. I thought I was going to lose him. But everyone at Village Vet helped him and me out greatly, and I'm very appreciative of that. They were nice, thorough and concerned. It was costly, but I would have spent even more. At that time he was 11 years old, and he (and his brother and sister, who I also have) will be turning 13 this year (July 4th, 2008). Louis is still doing well, taking his daily pill REALLY easily, just takes a second now. I guess he knows he has to take it. I can't tell you how pleased I am with Village Vet and their staff. I take all 3 of my cats to them for any care that they might need. The other's names are Lestat and Lacroix. I trust Village Vet completely! Lee

Very nice people but, I would not take any animal there that is part of my family. Getting charged 400 bucks for services that never happened is not an honest way to make a living. The staff is friendly enough but keep in mind that the Dr.s are going for the gold (your gold).

Pros: The Employees are very knowledgeable

Cons: The way pricing and billing work you get reamed.

everyone needs to understand, If the price sounds too good to be true, your not getting the quality professional service your pet needs, Yes VILLAGE VET IS A LITTLE PRICEY but they are also very caring and thorough. I have used INDIAN SPRINGS (good doctor but no people skills) and MEADOWBROOK (THE WORST PLACE I HAVE EVER SEEN!) i cannot set a price on the care my child deserves only take him to the best and that is by far VILLAGE VET IN BROKEN ARROW. ASK FOR DR. WILKERSON!

We took our cat to village vet to get declawed. We were advised we should go ahead and get both front and back claws done. We were told that the Laser procedure was the best route to take and it would reduce the healing time. We had her declawed a week before Thanksgiving, we have had her in and out of the clinic ever since. We finally got her back on 12/17 for good. My cat is not the same cat anymore. She constantly moans, wants to go outside (she is fixed), barely eats, refuses to use her litter box....and her paws still are not completely healed. I will go anywhere but here in the future. And just like the other complaints, we were never called prior to medicines being given and each time we would show up we were out hundreds of dollars. If you love your animal, DO NOT USE this clinic.

We used to take our two Labs there for everything. Treatment was acceptable but the one thing that caused me to leave was the policy on checking for fleas before you board there. Great Idea...no fleas in means no fleas when your animal comes out. I took my dogs in for boarding, the tech checked them for fleas and as usual, found nothing and the dogs were accepted for boarding. I picked the dogs up after several days and they were infested with fleas..They dipped them and then I received a bill for the dipping of the two dogs...what a crock. When they were checked before hand and cleared to stay and then picked up and were covered and was billed to get rid of a problem they caused??? By the way, the two dogs never had fleas since that visit...hmmmmmm

I'm disappointed to see the things written here about Village Vet Animal Clinic. I am an employee there and can say with absolute certainty that some of the things this person has written are completely untrue. I am aware of the issue this person has and aware of the conversations they have had with our office manager regarding this matter. I know FOR SURE that our office NEVER REFUSES to set appointments for people that are concerned about their pets. What most often happens is we offer or suggest appointments when an owner raises concerns about their pet and that owner never comes in, not the other way around. I also know that our alleged refusing to set an appointment was NEVER mentioned to our office staff, only posted here in an apparent attempt to slander our name. If we don't see patients, we don't make money....and I don't believe that's how one runs a successful establishment. Additionally, we do not give out single heartworm pills to ANY animals, especially puppies. What puppies receive is a free dose of Advantage Multi, a topical, which is usually applied there in the clinic. And if by some crazy turn of chance we DID happen to keep 4 YEAR OLD heartworm preventatives in our clinic anywhere and someone decided it would be a good idea to open a box of 6 (the only way they come), tear one off the sheet, open it, and hand it to a puppy's owner, then I assure you we would not LAUGH about it when it was called to our attention. I think it's very sad that this person had such a sick little puppy, but please DO NOT read their posting and think this is how the clinic is run. Most of what you read there was either delusional or a bald-faced lie.

We took my daughters puppy to Village Vet because of bloody stools. The 49.95 check up ended up costing me over $200 after they added all of the extra tests to it. Bottom line, she had worms and a runny nose. I was told to bring her back in 10 days for a follow up exam and 2nd worming to kill any remaining eggs. I was given the impression the money I had already paid covered the follow up. Much to my surprise when I was checking out I was presented with a bill for another $60. Because I was not prepared for the expense due to believing I had already paid for this I requested to be allowed to bring the payment in Friday when I get paid. I was told NO they either required the payment or they would keep the puppy until I made the payment. They would also charge me an additional $9 a day for boarding her. I'm sorry but anyone who would hold a member of your family HOSTAGE due to an error that was partly their own doing is cold hearted and inhumane. I will go back to pick up my daughters puppy and I will never step foot in their door again. I highly discourage anyone from doing business with them.

We took our cat, Katie, to be spade. Katie was a sweetheart, very playful and very much a part of our family. You don't really think much about leaving your pet at the veterinary for a simple procedure such as a spay however, Katie never came home. Katie was given too much anesthesia and went into cardiac arrest. She died at Village Vet. We were promised another cat...but we never received a simple phone call with an apology. However, we DID receive the bill and against my better judgment, the bill was paid in order to get closure and move on. Beware of Village Vet Animal Clinic! My advice: take your pet somewhere else!!

I took my cat there on an emergency basis. Several people there were nice but my cat kept getting shuffled from vet to vet there. I had to call each time to check on her NO ONE CALLED ME. On one phone call I spoke with one of the vets who couldn't even tell me if they had done what they said they would do. Final impression was they are nice personalities (except for a few) but a lot of guessing (which they were completely wrong on my cats diagnosis and their next step was to "cut her open", I am so glad I got a second opinion who was dead on on their diag). So now I am out 1400.00 to Village Vet when in reality if they had known what they were doing it cost me 500.00 at another Vet to get to the root of the problem. I am sure there will be no "discount" on Village vets bill!!! My kitty is now on the right road to recovery.

As for deborah g. , for any vet I've been to, they cannot rely on previous test results, as far as I know they will always conduct their own tests. I could be wrong, but regardless of her opinion, I have never been to a veterinary hospital that is more thorough in explaining the situation with your pet. My wife and I had a chihuahua that developed a back problem at 4 1/2 years old, his spinal cord was caught in his vertebrae, overnight he became paralyzed. Village vet treated him, he regained the use of his legs and lived a very happy, normal life. We had another dog, a german shepherd mix, who was terminal, I cannot express the gratitude we have for the care, love and compassion they showed both our dog and us, If you love your pets, and we've walked out of their for much less than $300, depends on what your there for, just like anything else, you won't find a better place for the money, effort and love that they give.

I have only trusted the Village Vet to groom and vaccinate my animals...from my African Grey parrot to my new little puppy. I would highly reccommend this animal clinic to anyone who is a pet owner!

2 years ago I took one of my cats in because he'd lost weight and was not eating, and was just not his active, usual self. Eventually, after many tests they diagnosed him with Feline Fatty Liver Syndrome. I thought he was going to die, he'd lost so much weight and wasn't eating, and was "on his last leg". They prescribed medicine, kept him there for about 10 days, had me give him pills when I took him home, told me what and how to force feed him. Ultimately he recovered, and I am SO grateful to the vets there. I was sure that I was going to lose Louis (my cat). I've been going to Village Vet for 3 1/2 years, and will continue to go. They are nice, caring and intelligent people, and really helped out my cat when he needed it. Lee

This vet intentially gave shots they were told were given at previous appointment. They did not inform they were given until after the fact. We have never walked in the office and not walked out with a bill for less than $300+.

This is a very nice place for pet boarding. I was on vacation and I dropped my dog for boarding for 4 days. When I came back to get my dog, he was very happy. They took good care of the dog and my dog seemed to like the clinic alot. The price is reasonable. The Vet and their staff are real nice and professional.
