Ok, I have shopped there for years, wonderful place excellent staff.
Their products are prime. the reason silver findings are not priced individually is because the price changes with the gold/silver market.
As for the beads, you can make a fabulous peice of jewelery for much less than you could buy it for. Stone beads and pearls are
expensive, but much more inexpensive than buying one pre-made.

Look at it this way, you designed it, put it together, and it is a original. Jewelery does not wear out like clothes. It will be with you forever. Quality not quanity. Carla

I have been a customer of the bead merchant for years. I have never done a "party" there but I understand they are fun. When shopping for beads understand that the price tag adds up quickly. It's not fault of the bead merchant, it is the industry. If you want cheap beads, go to the Wal-Mart craft department.I would recommend to anyone but I also recommend you take your calculator so your not caught off-guard at the register!

I got hooked on beading because of the Bead Merchant. It's a little bit of heaven walking in there, and with all of their selection....it's a lot of time, thought in putting things together.

The staff is always helpful, but without taking your 'craft' away from you to do it. They help, but you learn how to do it. I love that quality.

I am a frequent customer there, and would recommend it to everyone with interests in all kinds of breathtaking beadery.

I recently went to an adult birthday party at The Bead Merchant. Wine, cheese, and us girls got to make our own jewelry. It was a BLAST, but none of the beads are marked with a price. So several girls wound up with $200 necklaces... unintentionally.

As uncomfortable as it is, ask how much each bead is before you start making it. Otherwise, you WILL get taken.

I went to the bead merchant with some friends for a birthday party (for a 30 year old) recently... we brought wine and snacks, and set about making our own jewelry in the back room.

It was TONS of fun, but be warned: there isn't a price on a lot of the beads and silver, and it can add up in a hurry. Once you've made it into a necklace or earrings... you've bought it.

I only wound up spending about $30, but I only got 2 pairs of earrings out of it. A friend of mine made 2 necklaces, and about had a heart attack when the bill came to $130.

So it's DEFINATELY a fun place to go, but you might ask what the price of your particular beads are before you start being artistic.

This store is a great source for beads, findings, and beadworking accessories. They also have classes teaching bead making. And that is a real fun to do. I learn new techniques to make beautiful bead jewelry. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I spent one day there and make 5 nice bracelets.

PROS: variety of beads and accessories
CONS:
