I have taken my cats and dogs here for years. Boarded my big dog when going on trips. Dr. Grogan and his staff have always been very nice and professional. My pets only have been for yearly vaccines. I have been blessed with healthy pets But I would not hesitate to trust Dr. Grogan if I had a emergency with one of my babies. I am a RN and I have never noticed the facilty dirty or the staff being rude. The builing maybe old but the service is great. I got home from one of my trips a day early on a weekend and called and Dr. Grogan came to the facility and let me pick up my dog. I just love Acadia. Debi W

Do you want a Vet that truly cares about animals or a posh clinic that only cares about money? Dr. Grogran has the knowledge and experience to look at an animal & know right off the bat what's the problem. He doesn't inflate the charges by asking for blood test and xrays unless really necessary. Who cares if the building is a bit old because it's the care and love given to the animals that counts. Dr Grogan has a no nonsense approach to talking with people and I suspect that might be why some people are giving negative reviews. The comment someone gave about Dr. Grogan "holding their two dogs hostage" is absolute rubbish. You are told the rules when you make the appt! It's not their responsibility to call you on the hospitals one day off! I love the care my animals receive and I wouldn't think of going anywhere else. If you want a Foo-Foo or overpriced Vet then go somewhere else.

Very kind and caring staff. Dr. Grogan knows his business and he cares about the animals. The hours are good and the rates are great. If you want a vet that can help your pets go to Acadia. The building is old but I'd rather have an excellent vet than a shining new building and I'll bet some of these negative comments did not pay their bills. Don't pay attention to them.

I took my cat to get declawed at Acadia. When I picked her up they had me go to the back to get her and the facility was disgusting and filthy. After seeing the back room, I knew I would never take my pets there again. Then there was an issue with the declaw when a claw actually grew back and out of the skin, causing an infection. I took her to another vet who performed surgery to remove the claw. When I called Acadia, Dr. Grogan told me I should have brought her back there to have it removed and hung up on me. If you want a good vet, go to Jenks Veterinary Hospital.

Last year I adopted a female cocker spaniel from Tulsa animal shelter. She had cherry eye in both eyes and very underweight. The shelter mentioned they would take care of the cherry eye since it was an existing condition and it would take 3-4 weeks for the adoption. Almost two weeks later they called for me to pick her up. After bringing her home something wasn't right she was scratching and her hair was starting to fallout. I called the shelter and they said to continue to give her the medication they game me for her cherry eye and we would follow up for her surgery in a month. After the phone call I made a appointment with Ban-field vet Hospital in Tulsa. I then told them what history I knew of Tara, my dog and said that I thought something more might be going on other than reactions to medicine. Banfield completely ignored what I said and tried to push me to let them perform the cherry eye removal. The surgery alone was about $3000.00 and they never even tried to take a skin sample or evaluate my complaint about her condition. It seemed Banfield was interested in making money on a expensive surgery, then treating a potentially life threatening condition. After a high medical bill from just a check up with no answers a close friend mentioned Dr. Grogan at Acadia Vet Hospital in Tulsa. I made the appointment and they rushed me in that very day. Dr. Grogan was very polite and listened to me about Tara's condition, He took a skin scraping and realized She had mange! I was horrified, it only took Dr. Grogan 5 minutes to diagnose her and begin treatment. He never pressured me about the cherry eye he focused on what was the immediate problem. He was professional and quinine he truly does his job for the wellness of animals and owners even when they have a budget. Not only is Dr. Grogan a great vet, the Acadia staff is very kind and helpful. Tara was well within a couple weeks. Tulsa animal shelter performed the cherry eye removal and Tara was healthy, happy and saved by Dr. Grogan.

I admit, I was anxious to change vets, but now all of my animals see Dr. Grogan. He has helped my pit bull, weimaraner and tabby/calico mix through the worst. The office is just right down the street from me and his rates are so reasonable! Not to mention they are willing to groom my weimaraner's toe nails, a task I do not look forward to.

I took my cat Delouse to Dr Grogan in Dec 2007,he was not acting normal. Dr Grogan kept him for 3 days for observation,nothing abnormal",he is in good health" states Dr Grogan. The day i picked Delouse up brought him home.Three days after,Delouse passed away in his sleep.I stopped going to Acadia,due to incompetence from the top to the bottom of the staff.

Acadia held my two dogs captive an extra night because they forgot to call us during rounds on Sunday (when they allow pick-ups) and both dogs had to go without food and medications until the next day. They were also not apologetic or sympathetic to my situation. I do not recommend their services.

My uncle was a vet and when he retired I had a terrible time finding a new vet. With five cats and one dog I needed a good vet. Dr. G is the best. The groomer Terri is excellent and the whole staff is knowledgeable and kind.

Staff is extremely helpful and the Doc is one of the best I have ever seen.And they are very affordable.If you are looking for a vet who loves animals and will be their for you as well then this is the vet you need.

Dr. Grogan is on the ball! He immediately diagnosed erlichiosis in one of my cats back in 2/02. This was before most vets recognized feline erlichiosis. Until then, erlichiosis was seen as an equine disease occurring sometimes in canines. To put it bluntly, Dr. Grogan saved my flame points life by diagnosing erlichiosis from the 'get go'.

I have gone to Dr. Grogan since 1993! At 54, I have owned cats since all my life. Dr. Grogan is the best veterinarian I have met in my 54 years. In addition to his superior knowledge, Dr. Grogan is extremely compassionate! He definitely has my loyalty as a veterinarian and a human being!

They took care of my pet terrier from the time I got him. He loved going
there and they were his 'friends.' When he had to have surgery, they took care of him, and we didn't worry.
The place is nice and the staff loves it's pets. They took care of my beloved pet
when I had to put him down. I'm glad I took him there.
