Their weight never matches mine. My scale is measures down to .01 gram. They consistently say gold tests 10k when It tests
14k for me (and yes, I do test) . The last time I was there I had 5, 10k emblems that were 2 tone (yellow and white gold marked 10k on back of white part). They said the white part (which was 6 out of the 7 grams total) was not gold and still tried to buy from me at 1 gram price. Not only were these marked ON THE WHITE PART but I tested them as well!!!
Needless to say, I walked out. WATCH OUT FOR THESE GUYS!!!!!!!!

I wanted to get the best price for my gold. I had several pieces that I really hated to sell, but I needed money quick and didn't have time or money to run all over town. So I asked around about the 2 outfits that I've heard are the top gold buyers in Tulsa. Everyone told me to go to the one on 41st (Tulsa Gold & Silver). They have the best reputation and give the best price. Heard some negative feedback about the guys out South. It's all smoke and mirrors with their fancy big trucks. I mean think about it. Who's paying for all that stuff? Their customers, that's who. It's just like the casinos. Not that many people winning big money out at the casinos, just a lot of poor fools losing money to help pay for bigger and fancier casinos. Anyway, don't let them fool you with all their hype. Go to the store on 41st street and be careful not to get confused because the names are a lot alike, but the deal you get is not the same, not by a long shot. I'm just saying, don't get fooled by the smoke and mirrors. Take your stuff to Tulsa Gold & Silver for the best deal. Still a little sad over having to sell my class ring, but was told I got way more for mine than my brother got for his at the other gold buyer and his was even a bigger ring... Just saying.

They may pay best for your gold and silver, but you must know the value and hold them to it. Also, this is what I saw one day:
A well dressed young lady brought a couple hundred dollars (face) of old silver coins and was offered 12X face value -- it was on a day that I would have expected them to pay 13X, but she accepted the deal.
Immediately following her was a slightly scruffy looking young man who looked like he had found some old silver coins in Gramma s hutch or something and was just looking for some tobacco money: They offered him 10X face, which he accepted. I was indignant for him! [Not my business? They were my kids.]

I ve asked Tulsa Gold and Silver if their bid on old silver coins varies with the amount of the transaction, but they say, No, same price for one or a thousand coins. If that is the case, then their standard protocol seems to be size up the customer, offer what they might accept, not what is current competitive market rate. If the customer balks, act like you run back and check spot, then come back with an apology and a more reasonable offer.

I have been to this business several times to sell currency. Most of the time they give me a fair price.

HOWEVER, I titled my review ""Know your stuff"" because I feel like when I walk into that store I'm walking into a high-class flea market.

If you don't know what you are doing (or at least act like you know what you are doing), they will take advantage of you when they are buying your gold, silver, etc.

You should price what you have to sell with at least two other businesses before you sell. You can also call in advance to see what Tulsa Gold and Silver is offering that day.

When you tell them you want to sell, they may ask if you've called for a price quote. They may ask you why you've decided to sell. This is to determine how informed you are about the going price for your valuables and how desperate you are to sell.

Unfortunately- but all too commonly- because I'm a female who looks young, the employees seem to think I'll be satisfied wih a mediocre price. That is what happened to me most recently and that is why I've posted here.

They approached me with a price that was ridiculous for the current rate just because I said ""no"" when they asked if I'd called in earlier for a quote.

I understand they're a business but I feel indignant. That's no excuse to prey upon people.

I'm just glad I knew the true worth of what I had before I walked in there. You should too.

I called Tulsa Gold and Sliver last week and talked to Kelly, she was so helpful we drove my uncle in from Kansas to sell his sliver to them. I had already phoned Tulsa Gold and Gems, but after my phone call with this young lady we knew where we were going to go. We were greeted with a big smile. Kelly took us in to a office and had Robert help us with selling our sliver. After the deal was finished we told them we would be back soon to sell them more. I wouldnt do business with anyone else now. I have one sugestion it would be, they should put that Kelly in their ads, she has a way about her that makes you know your at the right place.

I took a 10k gold class ring in today that on two scales weighed between 14grams and 15 grams. They wanted to pay me for 12grams at 40% off the scrap gold price. or roughly $12 a gram. Tulsa Gold and Gems was paying over $16 gram. They say they pay more than anyone else.
not true.

They know their information about coins. They will direct you in the right way. If they don't have a coin they will direct were to go to get the cion.

Pros: knowageable people

Cons: busy

If your diamonds are loose they will mount them at a fraction of the cost at other places. They specialize in loose diamonds. I think they are professional and honest. I would recommend them. I had my ring appraised twice to be fixed they are who I decided to take it too.
