I have several dogs as 'established patients' at this Vet office, and yesterday afternoon, one of my dogs went into labor (initally OK). The labor became life-threatening to Mom-dog and unborn pups, and McCreight refused (over phone about 8:00PM or so) to provide care. "I don't want to do this tonight" (paraphrased, but the point is as stated). I feel that potentail 'clients' should be aware of the Vet's lack of concern to life-threatened animals, and that despite the SVH policy of 'offering' emergency care, there is in reality not any available (or very likely to be unavailable) as shown by McCreight's actions last night. He actually stated that we should go elsewhere (over an hour away minimum in any direction) and that he would charge much more than any other place he knows of, a clear insinuation towards 'extortion', it would seem, that if he were to come in, the owners (my family) would be 'punished' financially for seeking emergency Vet care through that office. A true case of 'actions are much louder than words' & 'buyer beware' - I hope this info helps other animal owners weigh their decision(s) on the type of morality & personality of the Vet they choose to care for their beloved animal(s).

They treat the animals well here and work hard to save animals who get turned in here. We have adopted a dog from here and it was in great shape. The care is good and it's a bit cheaper than the other hospital in town for your pets vacancies and stuff.
