.

I had taken a vintage Rolex in for routine COA service to another jeweler and was very very disappointed. I had discussed at length exactly what was needed and exactly how I wanted the service performed. I interviewed the watch maker before hand and he had all the right answers, was a certified master watchmaker and talked the talk.
He did a good job cleaning and oiling the movement but it still leaked water (he obviously did not pressure test the case) and did not seem to make any effort to regulate the timing other than to verify it did not run slow, plus 12 seconds a day is ridiculous for this watch. I took it in to see Dean, Eugene was very polite, performed the service while I waited and only charged me for the new crystal. He let me watch, explained what was being done and how the pressure testor worked. He cured the water leakage (cracked crystal), did the proper regulation and its now averaging less than 1 second a day. Not bad for a 43 year old watch.
All this and he only charged me for the crystal.
My elementary aged grandchildren were with me and his wife did a great job entertaining them and letting them browse around some very expensive jewelry and very old grandfather clocks. I found them to be very friendly and professional. Would definitely recommend them for watch service.

.

Do not take them a watch worth less than $30,000 unless you enjoy being immediately belittled! After I received my heaping dose of humiliation, I proceeded to politely thank the man for his time, but he couldn't possibly stop his derogatory comments that easily. I am now trying to contact the manufacturer of the watch (which still has 11 more years of warranty.)
