Jim's has been doing better about the gas prices, following QT's lead....and it's nice to know that there is still a gas station in town where the staff knows your name and aren't trying to ring up 50 people at once and swiping a mop over feet while your trying to just stand in line (QT!)
Years ago a QuikTrip was in this location. They picked up stakes and moved a couple miles up the road, leaving the spot for several other businesses to rotate through over the years. Jim's One Stop is probably the best outfit to hang a sign here since QT left.
The prices aren't the best around, but convenience on the south side is often worth a few cents extra. The employees are helpful and friendly. I consider QT the gold standard of convenience stores, and Jim's falls well short of QT overall. Still, I'm glad it's there and I buy there, when it's convenient.
If I need Gas, or if I need a drink, or to go to the bathroom, I'll stop. But when it comes down to it, I'll stop at a cheaper place. Kim's may not always have the cheaper gas prices, but they do have a clean and friendly atmosphere. I'd probably go to a QuikTrip over them because of the current Gas prices situation.
PROS: Very nice, and very clean
CONS: Not the lowest Gas prices
