I spent two hours picking out DVD movies- about 40 of them because they were on sale for 50% off. (which only brings the price down to where they should be anyway)... I put the first stack on the counter and said to the clerk that I was

i will never shop at everyday music again. their employees are so rude and not in the least bit interested in being helpful. i've had numerous incidents over the years, but today was the last straw. i bought a couple records at the sandy location today. the douche didn't even say hello. he told me how much. then slapped my receipt and change down and turned away without saying a word. and no, they were not busy. i hope everyday music is the next record store to go belly up. their employees deserve to lose their jobs. there are so few people actually paying for music these days. they ought to be grateful for my purchase.

This is an amazing CD store. Situated just down the road from Powell's Books, half of the store contains new and used rock and alternative music. The other half of the store is for old vinyl LP's , world music, jazz, and country. Any CD may be listened to, so it is very easy to spend hours shopping. Much friendlier than Amazon.com!

This is the best place left in Portland to find music. You can spend hours and I mean hours in there looking at their selection. Go with a list or you'll walk out with a trunk FULL of stuff. LP's, CD's, obscure. To heck with the Internet. You just gotta go!

This is one of the best places to go to to buy music. They have the best selection and you dont have to pay an arm and a leg for it. I also love that you can sell them your cd's also. The staff is great and always know what section the music you want is in and they are quick at ringing you up. There is also plenty of parking and it's in a great location that is easy to find. Definately check this place out.

If you're looking for new & used Cd's, minus all of the Best Buy bullcrap, check this place out. They have listening stations, and you can always find some good used stuff.

PROS: Listening stations, open all the time, huge space, but not in the burbs!
CONS: Parking kinda blows. But you should be walking or biking anyway!
