This hotel offers amazing rooms and a great location. Right in down town Portland you can park your car in the valet and walk anywhere in just a few min. it is a perfect spot for a night on the town without breaking the bank.

Ratings_icons Nice, but nothing extra

Sarah L. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 10,388

We stayed here on our wedding night. The room was beautiful and had a great view of the city, but (and this may be a bit bridezilla of me) we had told them we were coming as newlyweds, and didn't really have that acknowledged. I know, I know, but most service-oriented businesses take special notice of major events like that. Anyway, the bed was everything we had heard it would be, and the bathroom was huge and luxurious. I would definitely go there again.

PROS: Quality surroundings
CONS: A little inattentive

Ratings_icons Great hotel in downtown Portland

Mark M. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 11,173

I am a Starwood member and visit many Westin properties around the country. Although many are very nice, this location seems to be on or near the top of my list. The hotel and staff are always 100% and I have never had a bad experience. The rooms are very comfortable and the heavenily beds and shows rock. I did recently switch to another hotel chain in portland, but not due to anything negative about this place.

PROS: Incredible beds and showers
CONS: Parking and WiFi are pricey

Ratings_icons LOVE IT

Have stayed here several times and find it to be a great hotel. I typically stay on the "backside" of the hotel, so I don't hear a lot of noise. This time was no exception - quiet, clean, and very nice. Bathrooms are fab with the double shower heads. The heavenly bed was FABULOUS as always. I am not sure why they don't go free on the wireless, that's a tad annoying. And, as always, part in the SMART Park which is just 1-1/2 blocks away for much cheaper than the valet there which is quite high (mostly b/c they have very little valet space). You can get in and out much quicker if you just self park in the nearby SMART PARKING.

Stayed again this July 07 and fine again. Go for it. I got a good rate by prepaying a couple of weeks in advance.

Pros: clean, high quality

Ratings_icons Great Property

bhebdon

I have stayed at Westin on 3 separate occasions and have been more impressed each time I stay. The property is ideally located downtown. The staff is friendly and eager to help, the rooms I have seen are spacious and the beds are just like home. Although the price can be spendy at times and the parking is inconvenient and expensive, it doesn't outweigh what a great property this is to spend an evening or two.Hea

Pros: Heavenly Bed, Heavenly Shower, Service

Cons: Parking

Ratings_icons Heavenly Bed

elfqueen1977

The heavenly bed, and bath were amazing. Parking was expensive at 22.00 a day. The room service breakfast left something to be desired. You will be treated well. You will sleep and bathe well. Of course it goes without saying that everything here costs money. No vending machines. I would stay at the Westin again simply for the heavenly bed, and spacious bathroom. The hotel was suprisingly quiet considering it's downtown location. The only problem was the call I made upon leaving the front desk. The front desk clerk said he didn't have time to deal with my issue.

Pros: Heavenly bed, Heavenly Shower, Quiet and Calm

Cons: Expensive parking

Ratings_icons Great hotel

My wife and I stayed here on our wedding night and everything was great! My only complaint is that the maid knocked on our door the next day to ask if we wanted service, even thought the DO NOT DISTURB sign was on the door. To me, "Do not disturb" means just that! It was after noon, but still...
Everything else was great, and our jacuzzi tub was very nice. The bed was comfortable and the view was great. Everything was clean and the staff were VERY hospitable. I highly recommend this hotel!

Pros: Amenities, Service, Hospitality

Cons: Parking

Ratings_icons whats the fuss?

addiew

I have stayed in all the hotels in downtown Portland and stayed at the Westin because of the rave reviews; we booked a suite; not only was it really small but it was overpriced and when we got there they had us in a smoking room with NO jacuzzi bath; it was a small normal sized hotel room with a normal sized bath- I would stay somewhere else and not here again; it felt like a chain hotel something like a holiday inn and nothing like other hotels in the same price range

Pros: comfy beds

Cons: overpriced, small, un-unique

ive stayed at nearly 20 hotels this year (on business) and this is most definitely in the top 3 with the ritz carlton and the regeant. the beds are amazing, the shower is amazing, the staff and service are nearly perfect. the people are very friendly. the restaurant is phenominal for brunch or breakfast (dinner not so good....) it even has a very nice fragrance. rooms a very quiet as well. parking is kinda expensive tho $20 per day. my only regret was that i didnt tip as much as i should have... considering how nice and helpful everyone was. next time!

Pros: bed, shower, brunch

Ratings_icons 10- Heavenly Rooms!

liberante

My wife now has me hooked on staying downtown at the Westin! The rooms are fit for a king, the service from the moment you drive up is excellent, from the doorman, to the valet, front desk clerks with a smile and helpful, and finally to the bellman who has the manners of a prince. Once you stay at the Westin, you'll always want to come back.
