This restaurant has gone down in quality each of the three times we have visited in the past three months or so.

Our first visit was very pleasant. They offered an excellent menu with many vegetarian options. The food was fresh, flavorful and the service was excellent.

Our second visit was still okay, but not nearly as nice as the first visit. The sauces were very heavy and the tofu was a bit mushy.

Today, we decided to treat our family to lunch. The service was mediocre at best -- our server appeared to be having a bad day (as we all can) and we chose to let it slide. For the record, we requested nothing out of the ordinary and did leave her a fair tip.

The food was less than appetizing. One person ordered beef broccoli. The sauce was slimy and lacked flavor. The beef was obviously of the cheapest cuts available -- greasy and tasted very bad. The broccoli came in huge spears. They were way too big to eat and the knives were too dull to cut them down to bite size. In an effort to cut one down, it was virtually raw and went flying off the plate, landing in a nasty, saucy heap in the booth.

The tofu dish was, to be blunt, gross. The cook needs to drain the tofu before slopping it in sauce and putting it on someone's plate. We love tofu, but consuming undrained, wet tofu is exactly what post-nasal drip tastes like when ill.

The lunch menu is lacking. For a global restaurant, they lack global food.

This was our last visit to Marco Polo. If we want chinese food, we'll make it at home with quality ingredients. Same for Italian. We cannot claim it will necessarily cheaper, but we will not leave the table feeling sick.

Their food is ok here. As a vegan, I am not that impressed with their food. I don't like the rice and am not fond of all the 'fake meats'. Still, they do their best to serve the vegetarian community, so I do appreciate that.

Marco Polo is a paradise for vegetarians. Go for the black or brown rice and the lovely tea choices. The owner is always onsite and concerned about your dining experience.

This place just keeps getting better and better. During the week, they have a great lunch buffet. Their friendly staff ensures that they stay on top of refilling items and the food is pretty good.

PROS: Fast, great food
