Here is my top five worse things found in this restaurant.

- Their food taste real good. Majority of their food taste is from MSG. If you want to "AGE" yourself quicker, eat more of their MSG-MADE food. It will definitely help.

I've been to eat at Pho Hung countless times since my high school days and always thought it was good. In fact, the food is still pretty tasty but it doesn't make up for the fact that a someone I know found a cockroach in her food and

The positive part: The food taste is alright, but thats all I really have to say.

On the other hand, over the past couple years, their prices have went way beyond the value of their dishes. Sure, the portions of the bowls may look plentiful, but it is literally all soup. The amount of noodle differences in the small and the large is sometimes indistinguishable. Its now 8.75 for.. a couple slices of meat, 3 tiny meatballs, a small portion of noodles, and a LOAD of soup (if you can understand what i'm getting at).

The one thing that made me get up to write this review? The other day I walked in to buy an avacado shake, and to my suprise, they are nearly priced at a whopping 4 dollars. and they didn't even fill up the cup..only barely half way.

THey limit their portions so that they can get the most profit as possible.

Traditional Pho. The broth is wonderfully light and clear with several layers of flavor. Meat options include: Fatty brisket, eye of round, tendon, tripe, meatballs, and more. Pho Gai is available for chicken lovers.
Other dishes are available: Bun bo Hue, Rice noodle salad bowl (#37), Lemon Grass Chicken, Bun Xao, Shreded pork skin with special rice, and a bunch more.

The food is great. The prices are good, The staff is friendly albeit they speak a lot more Viet than English.
Pho Houng is never empty, and always seating people of all ethnicity.

This is a place that all my friends go to get an inexpensive, quality pho soupl. The soup is delicious and the price is very low for the amount that you get. Small place but great soup.

Great place for inexpensive yet great Pho! I go there probably once a week with my boyfriend. The service is fast and the food is very good. The salad rolls are the best ever...can't pass those up. I would highly recommend this as a great lunch spot!!

Pros: Great food, fast service!

We go here for pho at least once every other week. It feels really casual and family-owned, compared with the snazzed-out Pho Van chain. Not to say that is isn't always clean, fast, and friendly. The pho is consistent and excellent, the broth is really delicious. A wide variety of beef parts are available, I usually just go for the relatively tame round steak/well done flank combo. The service is incredibly fast! We have also tried various bun plates, as well as both vegetarian and meat spring rolls. All very good.

Really the only negative is the salad rolls. In a perfect world, my boyfriend and I would share an order of salad rolls and then each have a small pho. Here, we just go for a large pho each. That is because the salad rolls here are so bland! I have to pity the people on this site who rave about these salad rolls - I wonder if they have never had a good salad roll!? They don't contain any herbs, just lettuce, and herbs such as cilantro and mint are what makes salad rolls so delicious at other pho joints. But that is my only complaint, so not bad.

Had Pho many places and Pho Hung is one of the best. The West location on Canyon Road is a bit nicer inside and quicker in service than the Powell location, but food is excellent at both. When I request no pork in Salad Rolls and Pho, the West side has never messed it up. Plus I enjoy being able to get a Coconut Bubble Tea with the meal. Would say that Uwajimaya has a bigger portion for the Bubble Tea, but tastes just as great.

The food is excellent here, from the featured pho to the rice and noodle dishes, everything is SO GOOD! The price is a steal, very filling for just 5 or 6 bucks. And you have to try the AVACADO SHAKE...it's simply the best!! Service is excellent too, even at peak lunch hour, my food has always come out within minutes of ordering.

Pros: Great food, service, and value

I love their salad rolls. I usually go here for takeout.
Abundant condiments, fresh basil, lime, and sprouts go with the delicious pho. take some home and it will easily serve two.

Too hot in the summer!

If you don't want to make the trek to SE or NE pho palaces, Pho Hung on Canyon is the best and tastiest value for your time and money. Cha gio were tasty but slightly overcooked; spring rolls were fat and fresh. Service is fast and efficient, if perfunctory. I go for the pho; they have the broth just right, and lots of choices of meat. This is truly "noodle soup for the soul." Best on a cool day or if you have a bad cold. Pho hung does it right.

Cons: mini-mall location

Service is quick & casual, but if you're looking for someone to hang all over you, go to a different place. Soup bowls are the best in regards to portions, rice dishes are on the smaller size but still hearty enough to satiate.
