Steve and Tim are the most honest and helpful men you will meet. What's even better is that they are father and son. We have been going there for 9 years, since we came to Oregon. He is honest and really tries to fix your problem as best as he can and even gives you all the affordable options. I had my van in and my husband and I knew we needed new brakes. They were squealing really bad. Most places would just rip them out and give me the bill. Not the case here, Steve and Tim both explained that they were fine and didn't need replacing. Although, they gave me options to replace them if I wanted to, they did tell me they were noisy but not unsafe or even close to needing to be replaced. I went 2 more times and they told me the same thing! All with a smile and no charge. We won't go anywhere else. We really enjoy the quality of men that they are as well. We couldn't ask for more!

I am a very loyal customer and recommend these guys to anyone that will listen. They always do wonderful work, are very clear about not only what they are doing but what I may need to do in the future (and they give me an idea what it will cost down the road so I can start budgeting) and I'm never surprised with the cost. Steve always explains what the next maintenance visit will be too so I am prepared (like I said, budget) and my car runs fabulous. Another mechanic looked at my engine over Christmas for something unrelated and was really impressed with how everything looked. I swear, my engine still looks brand new and it is nearly 10 years old now.

Amazing folks. On advice from a friend who knows and trusts Twin Oaks, I took my subaru in 2 days before my expected departure for a cross country road trip. Found out it had a blown head gasket and Tim kindly and firmly advised me to buy a new car rather than try to fix it for a trip of this magnitude.
I ended up bringing in 3 potential car buys over the next few days, all 1987 or older. After inspecting, the guys at Twin Oaks gave me the highs and lows for the first two, and basically suggested subtly that I keep looking. The third one was a keeper and they let me know so. I drove it from Oregon to Maine and had not a single thing go wrong.
The entire process, as stressful as it was, was made better being as I could tell they genuinely cared for my safety and circumstance. Not only that, but because they pitied me in my predicament they gave me my inspections free of charge, even as I was ready to pay.
As long as I'm living in the area, I have no need to look further for trustworthy mechanics.

My wife and I have been customers of Twin Oaks for 10yrs and will not go anywhere else. Steve has been more than fair to us over the years, and has been honest about what needs to be done to our vehicles. His Quotes are spot on, and their service has been great. Never have to return to fix a repair. We fully support this business, and value their family values.

Amazing! Finally a place that I can trust. The owner Steve and his crew are amazing people who really treat you like family. They provide true customer service and do amazing work. They came recommended and I continue to pass on my recommendations about them. They have done so much for me and my car. I will never take my cars anywhere else. They helped me buy a used car with confidence and the information that I needed. They also do great fast and inexpensive oil changes.

A belt slipped a pulley on 26 and Twin Oaks was the closest repair ship (referred to by Les Schwab, who are my heros). Was completely IMPRESSED by the service and friendliness of Steve and Tim. Also, fixed the car (a Saab and not the easiest vehicle to work on) so it was ready the next morning. Estimate and final bill were right on the money. Very appreciative customer. THANKS you guys! I'll be back (although hopefully not too soon :-)

I'm reading some of the negative reviews here with a lot of disbelief. I'm sure these folks were unhappy with spending money on their cars, but if you read the reviews closely most are expecting the impossible. One guy never went back to tell them they'd made a mistake--how are they supposed to fix it? Another got free work and a free part but says they're bad?

I've been using Twin Oaks for the past six months and have been extremely happy with the results. I have a Nissan Maxima, 2001 GLE, and Steve's shop has literally been the difference between me keeping the car and junking it.

Simple stuff: Somebody backed into my car in a parking lot and broke the side light. Beaverton Nissan wanted $350 to fix it. Twin Oaks is taking care of it for $48. They waived the labor charge "because it's just a five-minute snap-in."

Difficult stuff: I took my car to Wilsonville Nissan for a routine 60K service and asked them to check the brakes, which seemed to be "juddering." I had to take the car back twice, spending more each time, to correct problems that cropped up after they "fixed" it, spending about $2,200. A week later, my car had a massive electrical failure on the I5 onramp and left me stranded, on a freezing New Years Day, for three hours.

Wilsonville said it wasn't their fault, and they'd have to charge me again to look at the car. Several friends (and Angie's List) recommended Twin Oaks highly, so I had the car towed there. Steve's crew not only tracked down and fixed the problem but also went back to Wilsonville Nissan and got them to refund my money for the warrantied part of what they did.

My uncle's family owns a factory that designs, makes and repairs high-end custom sportscars, and when my uncle heard about the problems I was having with the Nissan, insisted on calling Twin Oaks and finding out what was going on. He called me back and said that not only were Steve's prices fair, but that *he* couldn't get a better price for parts and he was in the business. He added that what Steve was doing was exactly what he'd recommend. "You've found a real gem," he said.

I'm not saying they can't make mistakes, but in my experience they bend over backwards to accommodate you. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them (and in fact have), and everyone that's followed my advice has been extremely happy with the results.

Steve and his crew are the best find in the Beaverton area. I have used their service for nearly a decade and have found them to be consistently honest and forthright.

The best part of the experience is that if you need service, they will tell you. They will also tell you the difference between 'required' vs. 'recommended.' They create an educated consumer, and they take the time to answer all questions... even explore alternatives.

When deciding whether to proactively fix my older truck, vs. buying a new truck with a warranty, they actually advised to buy the new truck. Steve acknowledged that meant he would not see my business for a few years, but he felt it would be the best for my families needs!

On other ocassions, they have fixed very simple things at no charge.

I admire Twin Oaks for thier strong business ethic and personalized service. Be aware though - they don't sugar-coat bad news. I appreciate that kind of direct approach. Tender people should seek emotional support elsewhere.

When my factory warranty expires, I'll be back to them. I'm a customer for life.

They did the work quickly and did a decent job. They did the job for a little over half what the dealership wanted to charge. Communication could be improved.

Twin Oaks is hands down the best mechanic service available. I've been taking my car there for several years, and have been delighted by their honest service. They've had the integrity to give me estimates including things that need/should/don't need to be fixed immediately, and their work has always been prompt, finished when promised, and of excellent quality. If there is any problem after the repairs, they do stand by their work. Take your car there with complete confidence!

This is an honest, locally owned and operated business. I trust Steve and his crew more than my own doctor! All anxiety I've ever had about my car has long since flown out the door. I will never go anywhere else and if my car needs something that Twin Oaks can't do (which doesn't happen often), I take their recommendations. I am always elated with the results and service. Call to see if they can do an oil change for just over 20.00 on your car!

I was pleasantly shocked recently when I called Twin Oaks. I had used them before for auto engine repair so I knew they did good work. I asked about getting a tune up on my SUV. Since it was well past the 30k mile mark, I inquired whether I should do it. The owner told me not to spend the money and just wait until it was due for it's 60k tune up which it would be another 6000 miles or so. He saved me a ton of money!! I was appreciative of his honesty!

Not only were they liars and thieves, but they charged me more than $1500 for make believe problems. I had a whole break system redone because Steve told me it was unsafe to drive my car. After the same noise continued occurring AFTER they "fixed" my car, I took it to an Acura dealership. They told me they've NEVER had to do the work on my type of car that Steve told me HAD to be done. Not only did he lie to me, but his idiot mechanics didn't lubricate the break pads, put them on incorrectly, AND put the front break pads in the rear and the rear break pads in the front. What kind of mechanic doesn't know how to put on BREAK PADS?!?! I got hosed, and I'm glad that they can't rip off anymore people.

We originally came here on an oil change deal, but have stuck with them ever since for at least 2 years. I absolutely love the manager. He's honest in his communication, and doesn't charge me for things I don't need. I've never had a problem with them.
