Esparza's Tex Mex Cafe

If you like good authentic Tex-Mex food, then Esparza's is the place for you. My husband swears they have the best chili-rellenos and they also other great dishes like meals with ostrich. The food prices are pretty moderate - definately worth every pennny!

PROS: The decor is very Tex-Mex, with the juke box playing great tunes
CONS: Drinks are a bit spendy

I love Mexican and Tex-Mex food, and live about four blocks away from Esparza's. If this

restaurant lived up to all its hype (at least in my opinion), I'd eat there all the time.

Instead, I've dined there only sporadically over the years. The food isn't bad (actually it's quite good), but the service is marginal, the restaurant itself is tiny, and the prices are a tad bit inflated. In my humble opinion,there are tastier, friendlier and more cost effective alternatives (which I won't name for the sake of courtesy) within a ten block radius of this restaurant.

PROS: Decent Tex-mex style cuisine
CONS: Too small, too crowded, too many yuppies, too expensive

The Chiles Rellenos. That's all I can say. Yum. Yum. The margaritas are great here, too. If youre coming with a group on a weekend night, beware, you will likely end up waiting, as this place is always busy. But thats okay, just drink some margaritas and check out the oddball puppets and Gene Autry memrobilia while you work up your appetite.

We make it a tradition to go once a
month as the food prices are great
and its a very fast service.

Esparza's has a lot of character. It's small, but cozy, and full of fun art, including creepy, yet intriguing puppets haning from the ceiling, who keep the Gene Autry posters company.

Chiles Rellenos are awesome! As are the margaritas. Good homemade salsa, too!
