I needed a flat repair, and the Hillsboro "GRATTERI'S" Les Schwab was closest. I got there and asked how much the service would be, they told me $12 and some change, every other Les Schwab I have EVER gone to, did it for free. They came back in after what seemed to be an inordinate amount of time to how few customers they had, and tried to make me buy new tires, I easily have 10,000 miles left on these tires. I refused, so they put my old tires back with out fixing them, when I got home, I noticed that they were leaking A LOT faster then before, I am pretty sure they removed the nail that made a hole in my tire, BUT now there is nothing to keep any of the air in, so now I have to buy new tires (or shove another nail in them). I told the manager that I was unemployed, and I had to help someone move, but he only became less cordial. By the way, this is the first review I have ever written, they rubbed me the wrong way, so badly that I decided to do it. Please go some where else, AND DON'T go there if you are easily taken advantage of. Thank you.

This store always finds extra things wrong with my vehicles. They charge too much and they are not very friendly.

Bought my first set of tires here in '81-Great service then and I have bought a few sets since then but no longer shop at LS. Went in for an alignment-they stated most my suspension components needed replacing on the right. I took it home and the right axle nut needed to be tightened. No worn components. An $80 alignment fixed what LS wanted over $800 to do.
A LS employee ran into my parked car (tigard ls) with an other customer??s cars in their parking lot and really gave me a hard time about getting it fixed. They stated my car was lowered so they couldn??t see it so it was my fault. I wasn??t even in the car. They EVENTUALLY paid. The last time I went into the Hillsboro store they lost my hubcap and refused to do anything about it. The GM was rude when I stated his men got a little sloppy and didn??t secure my hubcap. I fact he told me he wouldn??t cover my warranty issue that I came in with unless I apologized. I had also bought a set of tire changes for my minivan. I bought them from a LS salesman at the beaverton store. He came out and looked at my car. He looked up the part number and sold us chains. Later we got to the mountain and they were too big. I was forced to use them or be stranded at Timberline. They beat my car up and damaged the chains. I brought them back. I was told there was a computer issue and we were given the wrong chains. Honesty-nice. On the other hand since I was forced to use them they didn??t give a refund or even a sorry-More like we have the computer issue fixed at our end would you like to purchase a the right set now (at full price)
So after a number of years and several attempts to salvage a relationship I quit. My guess is they are making plenty of money and can afford to run off customers when they aren??t useful.

Gratteri's has always been a reliable source of care for the tires and brakes on my well used car. They offer prompt and courteous service and honest advice.
