Taking ownership and pride in one's work is key to me as a customer. I pay attention. Today was the third time bringing my Hyundai Sante Fe back due to "something not included with" the initial 2006 airbag re-call. Initially, I was charged (not told in advance) $32 for an oil change. The next day I noticed the gas gaugege was not working. $516.62 dollars later, the gas gauge worked, but then the air-bag light flashed. No charge bringing it back in a second time. I was told that the technician just "bumped a wire"- he "tightened it up" and (now it's fine...we are up to 40 miles of drive-time) off I go. The next day my internal temperature gauge is off! ??! I'm charged $60 (it's regularly $100, but since it's my 3rd time in 3 days coming back (another 40 mile round trip)they decided to cut the cost %20). And this time instead of a half an hour, they took two hours to run a 'Standard Technical Service' test/Bulletin. After all that, and driving away I look down and the clock is off by an hour. REALLY? I had to ask the Service Manager to re-set it as it was. He explained that they (the technician) unplugged the battery etc. In the end, I don't need to know HOW it's made, or exactly why. I do want to know simple things like, re-assure me with good customer service...tell me what time it is. That simple.

I leased a 2011 Hyundai Elantra from this dealership early last year and am coming up on almost a year of having it. I have been happy with the car. However, my experience at this dealership was mixed. On the day I set out to test drive and ultimately purchase a car, I went to Beaverton Hyundai first, because my husband drives a Genesis Coupe and having loved it, Hyundai was high in my consideration set. I looked around at the cars for at least 15 minutes without being approached by a single salesperson. (I am a decent-looking younger woman, and I was approached at every other dealership I visited that day.) So, I left and went on to test drive cars at the nearby Kia, Ford and Honda dealerships. I nearly bought the Honda Fit. If it had not been for my husband joining me later in the evening and urging me to give the Hyundai dealer another chance (he didn't like the Fit), they may have lost my business on the sole fact that they didn't approach me. We went back when it was already dark, and the second time around, I was approached and helped by one of the nicest and most genuine salespeople that I'd met all day. And, I loved the Elantra - much better than all the other cars I'd been considering. So, I was hooked and ready to deal. They gave me a pretty generous amount for my low-miles but problematic older trade, and I was able to negotiate payments I could afford. The finance manager was a bit sketchy, though. Typical guy you would expect at a USED car dealership. Not super warm, kind of mobser-like. Drove a black BMW 7-series (family owns other dealerships as well). I later learned from someone who knew his family that they were responsible for protecting a certain corrupt leader in N. Africa. Not sure if this is factual, but I definitely could see it being possible, from the vibe I was getting. Later on I returned to the dealer for my Hyundai Care, and another time when a large rock hit my car and I was inquiring about body work. Both situations were normal and pleasant. However, I moved out of that area and now live on the east side, so I take my car to Town and Country (where my husband bought the Genesis Coupe) for service. I definitely get a more consistently friendly vibe when I visit this dealership, perhaps enough to go there when my lease is up in 2 years.

I went with my wife Tara at the location on sunday june 19th. We were looking for an used elantra . The sales person Hamid was very nice and professional, we try one and we liked. The car was for my mother in law that after a stroke is semi paralized and needs a sedan (she owns a truck and cant be lifted on the seat) to be driven to phisycal therapy and support group meetings.
We negotiated the price and to our surprise the sales person and his manager dave offered us to take the car drive it to my mother in law and come back "at our earliest convenience " and bring them the check ( we made clear that we could not do it till tuesday since she was doing PT on monday).
We also made clear that my mother in law may not like the car, but that did not prevent them to keep their offer.
My wife 's driving license , insurance card and all her info were collected as well as my mother in law .
We spent about one hour and half at the dealership filling documents and waiting for all the process to be done.
Finally at 4.30 pm we left in our cars(ours and the elantra).
At 4 pm on monday somebody knock at our Portland Address door.
To my big surprise a gentleman wearing an uniform from Hyundai was at my door.
He asked me where my wife was and where was the car, making me felling as we were hiding it and that we did not had permission to keep it.
I was speachless , I asked why was he there and he had some absurd paper work BS excuse about some document missing.
He passed me some unkind and rude person at the dealership that gave me more BS about documents that were not filled (by them) . Bottom line I called my wife and told her to return immediately the car the following day.
Not tired of BSing me the Hyundai employee (pushed by a gentleman named tarek at the dealership) start asking me for documents(insurance ID and Driving license) that were already in their hands.
Tired of the BS and lies from this travesty of sales people I asked them to get out of my home and go to my mother in law's home ( 70 minutes north of portland)and get their fk car!!!!
I am going to write a letter about this to Hyunday USA because they made us feel as we stole the car , not like someone that was about to write a 12.000 dollars check to them.
All they would need to do was, as we agreed with the sales manager and the financial manager , to wait till tomorrow morning. . It is a disgrace that people like that work in the sales business , I have worked in the hospitality business for more than 25 years and if something like that happened in any of the companies I worked( and business I managed) , the salesman, his boss and the Dealership Manager would get their asses fired by whomever owns it!!!!!!
I strongly suggest to bring your business somewhere else.Stay away from a place like that, they are incompetent, they are liars and they have no clue about customer relationships.
We will buy a car in the next 24 hours but you can bet that it will not be at Hyundai Beaverton!!!!

Dont take my word! Try this yourself ! Go to their web site print off the 30K maint cost quote the go try to buy it at that cost. A 30k maint quote on their web site says $352.80 (down to the cents) go try and get it done its $647. Spoke to the service manager and he suggested we "go to Hyundai web manager, he's been battling them for more than a month". Called general manager (Ryan Rumerfeld) SP? Guess who wont return the call?

I shopped two other Hyundai Stores in the Local Area, as well as area Honda, Toyota, and Subaru products. I must say that Beaverton Hyundai has turned the corner, I was able to get the car I wanted (they happily located the car for me 2011 Hyundai Sonata Ltd, with Navigation) and sold it to me for the price I thought was more than far, $500 off of MSRP. On top of that they were able to Beat my credit union's interest rate too! Great Job Jeris Schaefer and his sales manager Paul for making this the easiest car purchase I have ever experienced!

We came to Beaverton Hyundai on 11/28/09 because of the postive reviews. But we were sorely mislead. Everything was going fine until they were handing us the keys to our new used vehicle and said "by the way the check engine light came on". It wasn't on during the test drive. (you know how easy it is to reset the codes and erase the check engine light). They could have came in while we were signing the papers for purchase to make us aware of the check engine problem, but no, they deceptively waited until all the papers were signed and handed us the keys. You'd think we'd high tail it out of there and get out of the deal. But no, we fell for their smooth talking "don't worry about it, we'll take care of it" line. Yes, it must be true. We have the word "SUCKER" stamped across our forehead. We found out that there were recalls on some parts of the car. It was fixed. We're thinking great! No sooner do we turn our heads and the check engine light comes back on AGAIN just a few weeks later. All we got now is "too bad for you. you didn't buy the $3000 extended warranty." How ever do they sleep at night, ripping people off!?!

I brought my 2001 Pontiac Grand Am here to get serviced. The car was having troubles shifting and the check engine light was on. After investigating the problem it turns out a MAP sensor was broken. They were easy to deal with, upfront about the pricing, and I had my car out that day with little money out of my pocket.

Do NOT ever try to buy a car here. Salesperson offered me a price on a specific car, and then when I was ready to buy, I was told there was a mixup on their internet price and inventory and the car was actually much, much more than the original offer. This was after being shown a written price.

I made an appointment for Beaverton Hyundai to look at my 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe which was having a minor problem with a burning smell when I would start it up in the morning.

Each time I called the service department, the people I talked to were extremely friendly and helpful. They were patient with my questions and handled all my requests.

When I took the car in, they quickly identified the problem (covered by warranty!). I had ordered the 50K mile service package but the service department manager told me they could cover the same service while they did the repairs on my car at no cost saving me a couple hundred bucks!

Friendly and honest! I definitely recommend Beaverton Hyundai's service department and I'll be bringing my car back here in the future.

The knowledge of the product and willingness to drive us in several cars and really asked the right questions and knew the information for what we wanted as car buyers. Had looked and looked at a bunch dealers and 2 other Hyundai dealers. The the way we were treated the selection and mainly the price I will never buy a car again anywhere else. But then with the product I shouldn't need to with my new black elantra that is smoothest riding car and best gas milage ever.

My Family and I have bought 5 vehicles from Beaverton Hyundai (used to be Thomason Hyundai) over the last 5 years and They always treat us right. I recently wrecked a car I had bought from them and when I went in to purchase another car they spent over 3 days finding me just the right pre-owned car! I love the car I bought and their Service dept. is great. My Parents have 2 New Hyundai's they purchased there recently and they drove all the way from Central Oregon to do business at the Beaverton Store. They tried to buy from another Hyundai Dealer but just got the runaround, Beaverton Hyundai has an internet dept. that quoted the best price hands down!

Be sure to use a mortgage calculator before you sign the final contract at Beaverton Hyundai. Tonight, June 21, 2008, they tried to switch my loan terms without telling me. We reached a final agreement which was for a $17K loan at 6.9% interest for 6 years, but when it came to sign the contract the payment amount was $323 per month which when I checked was actually $19K per month at 6.9% for 6 years. They tried to tell me that my calculations were wrong but I tripple checked and they were not. I just double checked again when I got home with the online amortization calculators and I got the same $289 per month and not the $323/mo they were asking. I asked them to honor our original agreement which was actually sketched in writing but they refused, insisting that I was wrong. The math is simple and it doesn't lie. In the end, I had to leave since they sheepishly and surreptitiously, and perhaps even fraudulently, altered the terms of the loan without my knowledge.

If I were not a finance major, which is the case with most buyers, I would have never caught the sneak fraud attempt. I'm really surprised and disgusted with the blatant lies at Beaverton Hyundai. I will now file a formal complaint with the BBB, the FTC and the Attorney General. Buyer Beware - Beaverton Huyndai is not being honest.

We bought a Hyundai Elantra from Beaverton Hyundai. At the end of the buying, they changed the interest rate to a higher rate without telling us that they did it from the agreement that we made, which we found out at the signing of the contract.

Our agreement was that we would get Alloy Rims with the car instead of the plastic ones. This also wasn't listed in the contract when we went to sign it and we had to have them add this.

We went to our appointment to have our tires put on, there were no tires for us and they informed us that they didn't know when they were going to get tires and what did we want them to do about it. Secondly, the tags were to be covered by them and they told me that they were at the front desk waiting. There were no tags or plates waiting as the lady had told me the day before.

I would not buy with them. They don't follow through on their obligations once the money has crossed hands.

We purchased a Santa Fe 7 months ago from Thomason Hyundai and had a painless buying experience. Our salesperson, Chris Teshera, was not pushy at all. As a matter of fact, my husband and I test drove the Santa Fe 3 different times over a 1 month period before deciding to purchase it and Chris never once made us feel like we were wasting his time. The only aspect of the experience that was a little frustrating was waiting for the car to be delivered to us from the maintenance people. I think we ended up waiting for our car for close to two hours before we could finally go home. Overall though I give the dealership high marks.
