.

This was a great apartment complex where we lived for 2 years. The management was relaxed and provided a warm, friendly atmosphere. It is nestled amongst college-oriented apartment complexes near Autzen Stadium, but has something like a 20% student rule- they can't have over that 20% of students in the complex.

I find this ironic, because it is college-kid heaven!

I loved the full-sized washer/dryer in each unit, the pool, the playground, the gym, and found the price to be really reasonable.

Security in the complex leaves much to be desired- there were instances where homeless people were found camping in back of the complex amongst the bushes. Since the complex is backed by the freeway, it happened more than once.

The O-Bar is just down the way, which is great if you are so inclined to need someplace close so you can stumble home. It's not as great, though, when the upstairs neighbors are partying at all hours of the day and night, you're trying to get a 6 month old to go to sleep, and "security" won't/can't do anything to help you out.

There is no front/back door to the apartments. Both are located in the "front." I thought this was very poorly planned, in case of a fire. The huge, sliding glass door seems like it could be easily pried open or shattered during a break-in, which made me doubt our security also.

I recommend this place to college kids and people just starting out, but grownups beware.

I leave you with this last tidbit: It once took me 2 hours to drive down MLK Jr. Blvd to get home during a Duck Game. With a cranky, tired baby in the backseat and buses weaving in and out of traffic lanes and pedestrians and tailgaitors not looking where they were going!
