This school is AMAZING! The owner, Denise is WONDERFUL! She has been with the school for 15 years in the same location. We have been with the school for 2 years and have had nothing but positive experiences there. The children get to be outside multiple times a day, rain or shine. The other review said the kids never get to go outside and that is a complete and total LIE! My son is only 4 and knows the names of all the continents, days of the week, months of the year, all the planets and some of the constellations, the alphabet, he can write his full name and is begining to read. He learned all this and so much more from Denise. My son never wants to leave when I pick him up and on the weekends he asks if it is Monday yet so he can return to school. I have 8 children and my 4 year old is the second to youngest child and I have been through my share of pre-schools and this program and the teacher are BY FAR SUPERIOR to any other school or program I have experienced. If I had one complaint it would be the old facility the school is located in. Having said that, it is still much larger and much cleaner and more organized that most schools I have been to. Denise does a wonderful job of having new and different things for the kids to do regularly and the children are never bored. My son is always talking about some new thing he has learned or some new project they have been working on. Denise is very experienced with children (she is also a mother and grandmother) and she is so understanding, patient and loving with the children. My son absolutely LOVES HER! I recommend this school to all my friends and family and many of the families that are currently enrolled have had one or two other children go through the program, with the same teacher Denise. I absolutely LOVE THIS SCHOOL AND ITS TEACHER DENISE!!!! i assume the bad review that is on here is only a malicious attempt to hurt the school over a financial dispute and has no truth to it, since what they say in the review could not be more opposite of what the program is actually like. That is the downfall of these types of forums, it allows unintelligent people the opportunity to abuse the the true meaning of a "review" and ruin it for all the well meaning parents who really need the help. Again, this school is TOP NOTCH in all ways!

My 5 year old attended this school for 2 months and we yanked him out. He transferred from the Wilsonville NW Montessori which is owned by the same company. We have no complaints about Wilsonville, great staff and wonderful campus. The Tigard campus is in the basement of an old church with very little to no natural light in the back room. The children did not get to go outside on a daily basis. The staff in Tigard felt if the ground was wet they should stay inside. We are in Oregon and it's likely it will rain alot, kids need fresh air and they don't care if the ground is wet. That policy just didn't work for us.The children just don't seem challenged. My child was always disappointed because he would get sent home with another child's work because the staff writes the name for them and often wrote the wrong name. Again I'm comparing to Wilsonville where even the 3 year olds sign their names to their work. I am owed a refund on my last week of school that we did not use. The company is refusing to refund me the full week. I followed all procedures in order to withdraw my child and they feel they don't owe us a refund for the full unused week. We obviously don't recommend anyone to send their children to this school for academic reasons. Now I wouldn't recommend anyone to attend any of their schools for the risk of getting ripped off. ****We highly recommend you look into Touchstone School in Tigard. The school is a bit more, but worth every penny! Hope you find this helpful

My child went to Northwest Montessori School for 2 years. They have a very flexible schedule and let me begin my 3 year old with 2 half days and when she was ready we added days until she was attending full days. She left this school reading at the first grade level, able to add 4 digit numbers and able to write her name, address and phone number. I would highly recommend this school to anyone who is interested in a safe nurturing environment for their child.
