Rejuvenation Day Spa

by Urmila K. | insider_guru Insider Guru | Rank: 1,423

Rejuvenation Day Spa is the place to go to get rid off all your stress and to treat yourself ...they have a great variety of stuff that you can choose from and have excellent and very trained and professional staff which has good customer service...their prices are high but compared to the relaxation and the pleasure you get there it is just nothing...

Treat yourself to a day at the spa!

by Anne S. | insider_guru Insider Guru | Rank: 1,682

The Rejuvenation Day Spa is tucked away in the John's Landing area so you have to go looking for it, but you will be glad you did. When you enter, it feels relaxing right away and you have only just begun.

The spa technicians know their stuff - they are very professional and very good at what they do. There are a great range of services to pick from, so there is something for everyone. I have not tried all the offerings, but I can definitely recommend the massage treatment!

The facility itself is clean and has a great spa feel to is which will put you at east. Also, there is a sauna available if you want to try that as well.

If you enjoy a day at the spa, this is definitely worth a visit!

Rejuvenation Day Spa

by Anonymous

Rejuvenation Day Spa - is a wonderful relaxing spa. The staff them selves are very calming, the way they walk and talk. You feel like you've walked in to peace. The clinic is clean and very peacful, and smells devine! A neat idea is the lockerrooms, which are clean and tidy.

Ladies you need to know this! dont be stupid!!! you can die!

by Parisamazhari222222222222

I did not know that nail techs can performe own surgery for an ingrown toenail, Igot infected, we got antibiotics, we thought it was well??.he spent 37 days in the hospital, 9 days on life support and got toxic shock due to mrsa in the bloodstream??.this stuff is deadly, and my friend had a bacteria infection (casued from a pedicure) back in 2000. It took a year and over 40 doctors to determine what I had. This was horrible and very painful!!!!!! I will never have a pedicure or manicure ever AGAIN!!!! I have also spent thousands of dollars on surgury to cover my scars and you can still see them. Go see stupid fat nail techs in Rejuvenation!!

Please know that having cute toes can change your life drastically.

Cons: this stuff is deadly

by aimee 66

I can't say enough good things about this place
The massages are fantastic and the atmosphere simply wonderful.
I appreciate the guidance from the facialists and always know what's up and what to do when I get home.
Most of all, they listen and provide just what I need.

Wish I'd known about this years ago!

by j3ffr3y

For our anniversary, I gave my wife a treatment at Rejuvenation Day Spa.
Long story short: she tells me it was the best present I've ever given her.
(If I'd known that before, I could have saved a lot on jewelry ;-)

Pros: Happy wife!

Cons: none

My holiday gift from my family was a massage and facial at Rejuvenation Day Spa. I just came back and I'm glowing all over. The massage therapist was knowledgeable, calm and caring. I'm delighted that my skin already shows improvement after the facial. What a wonderful treat!

Pros: easy to get to, easy to stay

Cons: hard to leave

Rejuventation: We only care about your MONEY *Response*

by Kort12

See below this review for Rejuvenation's response to my original review:

Clearly, the staff at Rejuvenation knows who I am but instead of contacting me to attempt to rectify the situation (I left the spa 8min after my scheduled appt time) they opted to post a transparent response (I was 'rushed and stress') via City Search. A bit of advice to you, Rejuvenation: You cannot correct a problem if you are not willing to admit the problem exists. Evidently this Rejuvenation staff member is as tacky as the decor.

Pros: Location

Cons: tacky decor, robot employees

Ahhhhhh.

by gina83

I was told that Rejuvenation Day Spa has always been the best in Portland.
Even so, they thoroughly exceeded all my expectations. Everyone was wonderful from the moment I walked through the door and the environment there is a dream.
It was clear to me that the massage therapist's attention was clearly focused on me and her art at all times. I was completely comfortable handing myself over to her care -- her touch was magical.

Pros: caring people, nurturing environment

The best care, exquisite atmosphere

by Johnnnn

I've been to Rejuvenation Day Spa a number of times over the years.
Each time is a delight. The staff is exceptional and caring and the behind-the-scenes crew totally professional. I go for the massages -- perhaps next time I'll treat myself to a facial.
Get there a bit early so that you can enjoy a steam shower, and relaxing tea in the sanctuary as a delightful pre-massage calm-down. ... and the sanctuary is waiting there when you're done to for the opportunity to integrate the healing (and delay the "real world").

Pros: Healing atmosphere, ease of access, great staff

Cons: none

My husband and I both recieved massages here several times. Both of us can't say enough. Very relaxing, professional and friendly staff. From the moment you walk in you will want to speak softly and will immediately unwind. Highly recommend making a reservation for the relaxation massage and remember to enjoy the steam room.

Pros: Very professional

Cons: Can't think of one

Poor Response From Management

by bologna4

Several of my friends booked an appointment to celebrate a birthday. I've had regular massages for quite some time, and never had any problems. However, during the massage, the therapist did a strange stretch that was quite painful. This ultimately resulted in a pinched nerve and 3 weeks of physical therapy. It was an unfortunate experience, but what concerned me most was the management's response. I called to the spa a few days after my visit to inform them of what had happened. The receptionist was very unfriendly, and said "someone would call me back." No one ever called back. All I wanted was an apology and to let the therapist know ... to hopefully have others avoid the pain and expense I endured. You would be much better suited to go to a spa that cares about there clients and would actually like them to return for repeat vists ... not just collect the money from the first vist.

Pros: convenient location with a parking lot

Cons: very unresponsive management and borderline rude staff

I left relaxed and more than pleased

by pdxsla

I spent the other day at this spa with a package that included lunch. I have a stressful job--I'm always stressed. I needed a day of relaxation and I got just that. This is my second time at this spa but my first time having a body wrap and full hour massage. The foot rejuvenator is what I went back for. If you like your feet done in a way that affects your entire body (wonderful reflexology) you will love the foot rejuvenator. Tanya did my foot rejuvenator and did an EXCELLENT job. Mercy did my massage and body wrap and again EXCELLENT work. I am not comfortable with being fully undressed but with Mercy it was very easy. She made me feel so comfortable, so relaxed.

Relaxing in the steam room before, after or even between treatments is another wonderful treat. I could see a huge difference in my complexion when I got home and I didn't even have a facial.

I am very pleased with this spa. I will return as often as I can afford to treat myself to relaxation. 2007 is a year I promised to balance my life and give more to myself. Rejuvenation Day Spa will help me with doing just that.

save your money for the little guys, they try harder and care more

by bellawilder

I am a spa junky so I realize my expectations are high but seriously I can't believe there are people making the money they are with what they provide. If I thought I could be that dishonest I would take a loan out and fill a space full of atmosphere and then get a bunch of people right out of beauty school desperate to find a job and start a spa. My Esthetician didn't ask one question about my skin or what I might want. She just started in. These are personal services people a little more than hello, lay down and I'll be back in to touch you for an hour. The massage was not bad at all. The constant disconnect was not cool however. She kept going over to the counter for a drink of water or to get more lotion. Haven't they invented something that goes around your waist so you don't have to keep stopping and losing contact?
The changing area opens right into the waiting area so if you are there changing and the door opens you are there for everyone to see. The atmosphere wasn't all together bad. I'm thinking that first time patrons wouldn't know what they were missing in a real spa by going here because it wasn't the worst experience but for the money my husband threw down on the gift certificate I wish there was a way to get at least half of that back. I want to pay for service, not for the owner to go off to the Bahamas every other weekend.

Pros: nothing worth a mention

Cons: skill, way overpriced

awesome, Awesome, AWESOME

by ddparker

This place has it ALL!! And I have been to several other spas in Portland. I had three services and each one was amazing. The locker room is large, and wasn't crowded (like other spas I have been to) there was also a very cute waiting area w/ a water fountain and tea, water, even mixed nuts to snack on while you wait for your therapist to come and get you. The first treatment I had was a foot spa, and that room was beautiful! The foot spa, was ofcourse, AWESOME. Then I had a facial and massage and both were very relaxing and the therapists were all friendly and genuinely interested in helping me relax (and rejuvenate:) When I was on my way out the girls at the front desk helped me in a timely and courteous manner. I loved this place, I definitely recommend it!! NO QUESTION, AWESOME.

Pros: Treatments, Therapists, Facility

Cons: A little pricey

Heaven

by denisecb

I was given a gift certificate for my birthday to Rejuvenation Day Spa. Let me tell you it was exactly what I needed! I had the Hot Stone Therapy Massage, a Sea C Spa Facial and the Foot Rejuvenator. The Hot Stone Therapy Massage was awesome! They massaged my body with heated stones and my body felt like Jell-O afterwards! The Sea C Spa facial~say that 10 times fast~jk~was great! My skin has never looked so great or had that much of a glow! Plus the facial was not only relaxing but it smelled great too. After those treatments I was taken back to a seperate area for the foot treatment. It was amazing! I was really anxious to see what they were going to do to my feet for an hour if there was no polish involved. I never knew you could have knots in your feet~but you can! It was great~the therapist massaged my feet and calves while I reclined in this big, comfy leather chair. Heaven! I hadn't felt that good in a really long time! My therapists were not only professional but very sweet! The atmosphere is great from the time you walk through the doors until you leave. I will definitely be back and will be hoping for more gift certificates in the future!

Pros: Great atmosphere, friendly staff, great products

Best Spa in Portland

by garin0

I'm not sure what those last couple of comments were about, but I'm glad I didn't read them before I went to Rejuvenation! I had an amazing experience there, and can only figure those last people that wrote the bad reviews have some sort of personal issues going on (bolonga4? Hmm, nice name...Yeah, ok..).

Anyway, I had this hot stone treatment with the Vichy shower... Holy cow... I have had many, many treatments over the years but this was absolutely the best! I'm not a review writer usually, but this was way over the top, so I feel that I should share my experience.... Well done, Rejuvenation.

Pros: Ultimate relaxation

Cons: Not next door to my house

Fabulous Foot Treatment

by leebob

The "Peppermint Twist" is the best. My feet were hot, sore and tired so I booked a foot treatment. It was fantastic and the new foot room is beautiful! The foot treatment contrasts hot and cold which left my feet and legs feeling very energized. I didn't spend much time in the steam room as it was too hot outside, but it would be very inviting in the winter. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was soothing. I'll definatley go back.

Pros: Location, parking, excellent staff

Cons: Can get busy

Average place for such an expensive price

by star_ship

I would probably not ever recommend Rejuvenation Day Spa. I was in on Friday night and thought that the front desk was extremely pre-occupied and really not very friendly. Not to mention completely unprofessional in attire. With the competition for other spas and new ones opening every day, the front of the house could use a make over.
The looker room is a bit on the small side and I would recommend that if you do plan to try this place, request a locker in the back.
The "sanctuary" is totally outdated and rather frumpy...perhaps to match the girls at the front desk(?). One does not need to look like an ad for Vogue but it is 2006 not 1986.
I will say that my massage was great but for $85, it had better be. I have no problem paying more for an hour massage but the atmosphere has better be a reflection of that price. I think this place is in major need of a makeover.

Pros: Therapists

Cons: Front Desk, "sanctuary", noise

Amazing!!!

by sunkissed311

My boyfriend got me a gift certificate here, and it was my very first massage. The staff were really easy going and helpful. I went on a Saturday and there were barely any other customers and employees in site. The steam room was relaxing and the tea is wonderful. The massage itself was something to die for, and I'd definetly be going back soon!

Pros: massage was great, steam room is free, relaxing wait area

Highly recommend the facials

by mrsb1733

I arrived for my evening appointment 30 minutes early as requested. The front desk attendents did not seem all that attentive. The attendent was very pleasent but was a bit hurried. I enjoyed the quiet and the steam room was nice. It was very tranquil. My massuer, Valerie, was very nice. I was so relaxed and we had a nice conversation. I was suprised that the facial included a treatment on my hands and feet. The room was serene and the treatment was so nice. I will definitely be back on a regular basis. My face has not felt this good in years. Down side was when I was leaving, the girl at the desk did not seem to know any of the products and again seemed to be hurried. I realize the late appointment is not the most energized one of the day. Schedule earlier if possible.

Pros: clean and serene, good parking, excellent facial

Cons: front desk attendents, product prices high

Average Spa

by tamarabeara

Though my facial was wonderful, the spa and staff needs some improvement. The woman who gave me my facial was wondreful! The front desk staff.....not quite. One girl was rushing me and another woman through check in while the other girl at the desk was chatting to a friend on the phone about her life. As said in other reviews, they seem to assign everyone who checks in at the same time lockers right by each other instead of spreading them out more. The spa itself is plain, not like some of the other nicer portland area spas and can be noisy at times. Overall the service provided was nice but the front staff and facility needs work.

Pros: Good Facial, Decent Price

Cons: Bad Staff, Plain

Minor Changes Could Make Big Difference

by yamamotomomma

Overall, I enjoyed my 90 minute massage at Rejuvenation. Jennifer was pleasant and skilled and the atmosphere was mostly relaxing.

Even though I was there during a quiet weekday, the changing room was crowded. It seemed that all the women receiving services at the same time were assigned lockers next to each other even though another bank of lockers went unused. So I, 2 other women and an employee who was stocking the lockers with towels/robes were trying to squeeze into a 4 foot square alcove, while other areas of the changing room were entirely empty! Why not spread the locker assignments out?

The sitting room where you wait between services is nicely decorated, mellow, with plenty of water and tea. Unfortunately it's a high traffic area, with everyone coming in/out of the changing area and main lobby and employees carrying laundry and linens to and from the changing room.

Pros: good parking, open late

Cons: crowded changing room

The Best Massage in Portland!

by vegangirl

As a Massage Therapist myself I've come to expect more from a massage than a skin rub. I was blown away by the signature massage at Rejuvenation! I left with a feeling of lightness, some real healing took place. Rejuvenation has expanded their women's locker room to accomodate the increasing numbers of happy customers. They also have a new beautiful room separated with rice paper sliding doors for lunch. Their Sand and Silence room is exquisite. The foot treatments are now done in a relaxing private room well away from the waiting area. I was late for the massage and the therapist went overtime to give me a complete treatment. I recommend arriving 30 minutes early anyway so that you can steam in the steam room. Well done Rejuvenation!

Pros: Great Massage!, No rush., Steam room.

Being a new mom,a student, and working a part-time job, being sleep deprived will definitely catch up with you! I've finally found a place where I can have some time to myself and think and do nothing and just relax! My husband gave me a gift certificate for Valentines Day and I finally had a chance to use this much needed gift. When I called to make my appointments the women were very friendly and informative, and took the time to explain the different treaments and which ones would be good for me. The staff was extremely freindly and made me feel totally welcome and comfortable. The therapists were great and very proffesional! I loved the sanctuary and the Sand and Silence area. I was so dissappointed when I left because I had to go back to the real world! I will definitely be back!

Pros: good parking, steam room, friendly staff

Cons: Not enough seats , in waiting area

Relaxing in Portland

by sweetgirl702

After working two jobs, I can always use a little pampering. One of my favorite places to go is Rejuvenation Day Spa. The front reception staff is always willing to help me decide which treatment will be the best for me. They are always patient and can answer all of my questions. The relaxing and inviting atmosphere of the sanctuary helps me forget about all my problems. The new expansion of the locker room has provided much more space. It's nice to know that Rejuvenation will listen to the needs and concerns of the clients. My favorite treatment is the Honey Glaze body scrub. It's both relaxing and invigorating and helps to destress my body. Rejuvenation Day Spa is by far my favorite spa to go to in Portland.

Pros: Locker room, Staff

Cons: More sanctuary seats

I truly love this place

by tammyf38

I work full time and don't get to treat myself often enough. Buy anytime a friend wants to do something special, I recommend we meet here for the foot rejuvenator because then we get to chat for an hour before our regular massages while we get the feet and legs massaged. I really like their spa lunch too. It's small, but I'm tired of being always fed too much food at places.

Overall Good - 1 bad experience

by spabuff

I've been to Rejuvation a few times. It is always the same. Clean, simple, basic, solid. A good investment for a consistent service. That doesn't sound like an overwhelmingly - but not many give a good solid treatment EVERY time. I would compare Rejuvenation to Starbucks: a place to go that is clean and well lit, consistent customer service, (like Starbucks sometimes the staff don't REALLY care if you are there or not), good coffee (product) almost 100% of the time, more expensive than it should be for what you get, but never a huge disappointment. My one bad experience was a Jasmine Wrap that was EXPENSIVE and supposted to be an hour (?) the therapist was running late and I only got a 25 minute service. Also, my massage therapist wore loud shoes and clomped across the floor. Other than that- you can tend to feel like a number.

Pros: EASY parking, Quiet, No sales pressure

Cons: Rushed, Sometimes feel like a, number

As a stay at home mom who always seems to be doing things for other people. Coming here was a wonderful treat, and reminded me how important it is to take time for yourself. The momemt I walked in the staff made me feel welcome and special. I thought the atmoshere was very relaxing. I recieved a massage by Carla who was not only very good but she was also great company. I then had a facial that I found very refreshing as well as informative. I had never been so relaxed and awake at the same time, thank goodness my husband drove me home. HA!! Fabulous!

by lmtgirl

Rejuvenation has the most skilled staff of any of the spas I've been to in this area (and believe me, I've been to them all!). I had the most amazing massages from Donna, Misti and Katarina...all were FABULOUS, skilled at their art, had wonderful hands and could really give me the pressure I needed! And the facials I had from Jeanie and Bonnie were so relaxing I thought I'd died and gone to heaven.

The sanctuary tends to be a bit crowded at peak times and they definitely need a larger bathroom but overall, the ambiance and staff are lovely. I will keep going back for sure!

Pros: Staff, Ambiance, Easy appointments

Cons: Small bathroom, Funky location

On my Birthday, I always treat myself to a spa day. June 20th I spent $250 at Rejuvenation Day Spa. Normally I don't write this sort of complaint, but I thought it might be helpful. I made the mistake of not touring the facilities before my appointment. The rest room area was very small and uncomfortable, there were 5 women trying to undress shower and use the restroom at the same time. I felt the help was very cold and not very friendly. And for my facial, I asked if they did the need and chest area before making the appointment and she said yes..when I go the facial, she said no.. and did not even off to do the neck and chest area, this is one of the main reason I had a facial.

Rejuvenation is the place to go. The atmosphere is relaxing and their estheticians are first rate. The tangerine dream skin treatment leaves your skin glowing for days and the hot stone massage can't be beat. Their facials not only chase away wrinkles, but warm you to the tip of your toes.
