The RockHounds filled in for a band that cancelled the last minute on Halloween. They play an awesome set of Southern Rock, Classic Rock, and Blues. Their harmonica player is one of the best around. They are playing here again this weekend and should be a great show.
Now that the smoking ban is in place the owner has started renovation and plans of having good local bands play there on a regular basis. Food is pretty good and a wide choice of beverages. NOW SMOKE-FREE!

We have been traveling to Tigard for years, and stopped in this summer during a trip. It's really more of a bar than a restaurant. They advertise filipino food - which tasted like it was served from the microwave by the bartender. The special I wanted, served with baby back ribs, wasn't available. I tried the chicken kabob bento plate, but it was quite dry. we also got a lumpia appetizer, which was horrendous, severaly overheated.
I guess a positive would be the very cold beer that was reasonably priced, to wash down the bland food. I probably won't be going back

If you like dives then youll be ok otherwise RUN... the locals Mexicans do hang here. I dont have a problem with that just fyi. New owner trying to clean it up a bit. Stiff drinks and VERY medicore bands. But hey no cover (and youll see why) and did I mention stiff drinks?

This place is a lot of fun especially when the band " Kenny lee and the sundowner's" are playing. The whole place was dancing and having a great time, these guy's really rock! We danced all night long, the owner who is a really great guy, was right out there too, just having a great time. The food is great, the bartenders are great, and every one was just having a blast! They have some really great bands that play there on the weekends but nobody rocks and get's you up on your feet like these guy's. Manila is not the only place to check these guy's out, check them out on my space, they have a list of all there up and coming gig's, don't miss this band they are the next up and coming band in portland!!!!

went in and got ambushed by a bunch of drunk mexicans who numbered in the many hanging out in the poolroom making a very tense place..didnt feel comfortable about trying to play pool or use the restroom in there...the bartenders didnt seem to care or do anything about it...It happened to be on a friday night and the live music was very lacking and very few people..I waited for awhile before the bartender asked me what I wanted and it seemed like he was not very schooled in making drinks...very amateur place..Food didnt look very good from what I saw ordered by the guy sitting next to me..I wouldnt reccomend this place if your looking for a place in the tigard area..not what I had heard about this place from a few others...The owner walks around and hits on everything female..He made my wife very uncomfortable by trying to hug her...we left with no plans on returning

WE ARE NEW TO THE AREA, JUST HAPPENED TO DROP BY, HEARD THE MUSIC. THE NEW OWNER IS WORKING HARD TO GIVE THE PLACE A LIFT AND HE IS DOING A GREAT JOB. THE OWNER IS PETE LOUW AKA "THE COOK". HE IS THERE EVERYDAY AND NIGHT TO WELCOME THE NEW COMBERS AND INTRODUCE THE BAND MEMBERS. WE DANCED THE NIGHT AWAY--THE FOOD IS YOUR TYPICAL BAR FOOD WITH A TROPICAL FLARE. THE BAR TENDER AND COCKTAIL WAITRESS ARE VERY FRIENDLY. I WOULD ENCOURAGE ANYONE WHO WANTS TO HAVE A FUN NICE OUT TO GO THERE~

this place positions itself as a restaurant, but it's really...a bar that serves food. the music veered between classic rock and obnoxious DJ banter...the bartender was rather rude to us, especially when he saw our entertainment book and we advised him we were there to eat, not drink booze. they advertise filipino food - which could be really good, if it weren't served from the nuker by the barkeep. i wanted the inihaw special, served with baby back ribs, but it wasn't available. instead, i had the pork and chicken adobo, which was very good. shmackyrelish had the chicken kabob bento plate, which had white meat on the kabob and was quite dry. we also ordered a lumpia appetizer, which could have been good, but the bartender overcooked it by a significant margin, and most of the exterior was charcoal. all in all, i think this place could have potential, but considering we were there at 7:00pm - prime dinner hours - i'd say manila express should accept that it's a bar, and not advertise itself as a restaurant.

Pros: good lumpia, but burnt, good adobo

Cons: bar atmosphere, bartender cooking food
