This is a great hotel to stay at if you have pets. It is centrally located downtown and is only 2 blocks from Ringside's temp location and pioneer square. We have stayed here several times and it has been a good experience each time. We didn't have a good experience at the bar at the other Hilton property that is across the block, however; the rest of our stays have been good. We will stay here again.

i love this hotel. its so comfortable and you can earn Hilton reward points just for staying. stayed across the street at the Heathman but i dont think they thought we were ""Heathman Material"", so only stayed one night there. Love the views. i live in salem but when i go to Portland I will always stay here for the price and the comfort.

Pros: nice bar at the executive tower
Cons: should have free computer use
This hotel is located in a fantastic area. You can walk to a choice of many great restaurants. The hotel is nice, well serviced, and a very reasonable rate.
5The hotel is nice and in a good location but there is much construction going on in the area. Their parking lot was full so we had to park across the street in a parking garage and carry all of our stuff across the street. There are two towers. The first tower we entered we were greeted by a staff member who was slightly rude and told us we had to go across the street to check in. When we arrived across the street there was a line for check in and most of those people had rooms in the opposite tower (that we just came from). Once we got registered and to our room we were shocked at how small the room was; you could barely squeeze between the bed and the dresser to get to the other side of the room. I can see why the price for this ""luxory"" hotel was cheaper than others in the area. The redeeming quality was the food and drinks in the lobby bar; it was prehaps the best lobby bar we have encountered

Pros: Good Location in Downtown Shopping District
Cons: No taxi's easily available; rooms are small
My friend and I went for dinner the other night and had a great experience. I had the pork chop which was AMAZING! The servers are very nice and know how to take care of you without being in your face. I would totally reccomend it. Plus live jazz in the bar!

Pros: Friendly staff, Great menu
The food is wonderful. Not a large menu. What they do have is done well though. Have had trouble getting out in a timely way twice for the symphony. The waiter I keep getting seems aloof. But when he falls short management makes it right by offering a free dessert. Good food but dont expect to get out quickly. Did I mention the view is awsome!!

It's all about the way they make you feel. I enjoy working out at the Hilton because the staff is great. I train with Mia, she is great, she has taught me so much about proper nutrition and exercise. Just a Great place.

The Hilton Athletic Club is just what I've been looking for. I love the atmosphere, it's Intimate yet has everything that you need. And might I mention, If you decide to join the club, I highly recommend working with Mia, the personal trainer, she makes every workout fun and effective. I can't say enough about her.

i'm pretty bias in this review, since it doesn't take much to please me, but this particular hilton is very cool. the beds are like clouds, room service is delicious, and it's right in the heart of downtown portland. i feel like a princess, or else just a hilton. only i don't behave like paris. also, the lowest is $100. that's pretty good, considering.
PROS: great rooms, great rates
CONS: none

With only old reviews to go from I was a bit nervous of trying this place. Though in need of an update in decor, I have found my favorite place to go! The staff was very friendly and informative, made great recommendations on food and the new manager filled me in on the exciting plans for renovation. I stayed for Jazz - which was fantastic - and met some great locals! This website doesn't do it justice. I will check back often!

I stayed at this hotel for a work conference and thorougly enjoyed my time with them. The staff was courteous and promptly at attention. The room I stayed in was small but clean and neat. Housekeeping was attentive and friendly as was the front desk staff and the concierge. In fact, when my FedEx package was misplaced, the front desk sent me a wine & cheese basket to apologize for the trouble. The incident was not their fault however they went out of their way to apologize for the inconvenience. It was truly remarkable service.
The only reason I didn't give them a 5-star rating was because two of the four elevators went down for almost 24 hours. It was a most inconvenient time as there were several large conferences in attendance and the wait time was typically 10-15 minutes for an elevator. I took the stairs fairly often! Otherwise, the hotel was splendid.

We come to Portland couple of times a year, found this place and try to stay there when rooms are available. It has great value ($80-100 is pretty good for a downtown hotel), nice fitness center w/pool and sauna, and of course location. This hotel is one of the newer and cleaner ones.

After not being able to get into Portland City Grill, we decided to give the other restaurant with a view we found - very pleasantly suprised. The view was great, service warm and attentive. and the food excellent. We'll call here first next time!

Most restaurants atop a hotel are heralded for their breathtaking view and not the food, this is no exception. Appetizer presentation was creative - crab served on an upside down Martini glass with a flower. Drinks were so-so, but the Chris the Bartender was a riot and one of the best around.

Pros: Bartender
We decided to treat ourselves to a nice dinner before a show, and although the views from the bar were nice, the restaurant views were blocked by the other tall buildings directly around. We ordered a crab appetizer which was good, but not worth the $9 price. The lamb chops were good, but my husband's steak was terrible- very dry and stringy. We will definitely never eat there again. If you must go, stick with drinks in the bar.
