Aequis An Inclusive Retreat

I too was not impressed with this spa. I found the personnel to be pretty, but not highly skilled. They were overpriced and the atmosphere was a little over the top for me. In fact it gave me the willies....a little creeepy

I went to Aequis for a pedicure. Even for the special price I felt ripped off. The quality there has gone WAY downhill. The staff has been cut WAY back, why? Because the service is not up to pare & for sure is not worth the price.

My husband and I have had the couples massage here several times. The experience has been superb each time. The atmosphere is very relaxing. The experience begins with a foot soak and foot rub. You then embark on an aromatic journey. As you sit with your eyes closed, you will "sample" the aromas of various essential oils. After you choose your "recipe", the massage begins. Aequis has several types of massages to choose from. Toward the end of the massage, you will get the hot oil scalp treatment. Let me tell you - it is what keeps me coming back!!!! The warm oils are drizzled over your scalp and massaged/brushed in. At the conclusion of your treatment, you are invited to relax if you wish. A hot shower then awaits you.

My husband and I have made a committment to treat ourselves once every three months. The only negative that I can point out is the price. It is expensive; more so than other places.

I made an appointment at this spa while I was working in Portland on business. The treatment I recieved (facial) was a daily special advertised on the internet. The facial seemed rushed and the anestician had zero connection with me. The place looks more like a den of debachery than a spa. I see no reason to return, The staff seemed equally unimpressed with me. They seemed preoccupied and stressed.

The staff at aequis (especially the owner) needs to check their attitudes. They are rude and seem to have a superiority complex. I picked up on this over the phone. I didn't need to waste my time or $$$ there,
