I am 55 years old and have had acne since I was 19. You wouldn't believe the ravaged skin from the scars and the many, many harsh products I've used. I've seen many estheticians and spent so much money on the various products over the years. It has been just one month since I found Sharon and the results are spectacular. Sharon really cared about healing my damaged skin. I really loved that she took a natural approach to things! She took the time to explain to me what what happening, and gave me short and long term goals to repair the damage. Instead of picking the most expensive facial she could have, she recommended something basic as to not irritate my skin more than it already was. I felt like someone was on my side, and I have seen an amazing improvement. I not longer have irritated skin and am no longer embarrassed to go out without makeup on!

Sharron I would first like to thank you for saving my skin!! I?m so glad I met you. If it wasn?t for you I would still be a hot mess. I had the worst oily skin, it was so red in spots and very inflamed. I had a lot of sun damage a lot of large pores from all the makeup I would use to cover it up.. Its been a little over a year since I started seeing Sharron and my skin is FANTASTIC!!!! For once I can go out with out foundation on my skin and people are complimenting me. I have never been so confident with my skin.. I recommend you to go see her.. She is very educated, she invested a lot of time into figuring out her method.. IT WORKS! My skin looked fantastic after I was done. I am in my 40s, and this is rare ocasion now :) Sharon also does a wonderful job on educating how to protect and care for your skin. This is not ?just by this product, and your skin will look better?, but how to actually do it. Her method is not a mainstream, however, it works ? just look at her skin. Sharon?s face is the best advertisement to her method and services. Highly recommended to anyone with aging and/or problem skin.

I have been struggling with acne and breakouts since my adolescent days. I am 25 years old and I was willing to try something out of the ordinary because the ordinary was definitely not working (Reitne-A, Pro-Active, scrubs, etc.) During the summer my skin would clear up for a couple days because of the sun but then if I wasn?t out in the sun I would get deep pimples. In the winter I would try products to dry out my pimples but that just made my acne spread and become more noticeable. I would use foundation to cover up my uneven broken out face and the frustrating cycle continued.
With no end in sight, I finally looked up some different philosophies of treatment on the internet and decided to try a European facial. I wanted something that was as natural, affordable and sustainable. I have been going to Sharon for almost 7 months and I am excited to say I have a new found confidence in my skin; it glows. I have had to be patient for my skin to become completely repaired but the turnaround is incredible and I can honestly say I love my skin. Her approch to skin care is genius, and I saw improvements within 24hrs. I am so pleased at the results I am seeing. I will never go back to my old methods of (so called) skin care. My skin was very inflamed and bumpy before I went to Dzialo. After a month of following her specified routine, I saw almost a complete turnaround. I now have occasional breakouts, but overall my skin is amazing.

I discovered European Facials by Sharon Dzialo by searching through citysearch and read through ALL of the reviews/testimonials before I dared to venture and make an appointment. Having dealt with acne since I was a teenager I was very apprehensive about whether her method and facials would work for my skin type. I've tried so many products, treatments, medications and I've seen a few dermatologists to help me deal with my acne. My skin was at its worst since I moved to Portland, on the top of it all, I was sleep-deprived with a new baby in a new town. My acne skin has seen its up and down with all of the latest cream, medications and other treatment I've tried but I've never really been free of the oiliness, large pores and frequent breakouts. I was desperate to find a solution and I'm so ECSTATIC to have FINALLY found someone as caring and knowledgeable as Sharon. Her method has done wonders for my skin, it may be unconventional but it has delivered results without side-effects such as dryness induced my medications and other skincare products. Her facials are amazingly gentle, deliver results and has HEALED my skin. Unlike other facialists or spas that I've gone to she doesn't try to sell you products, her facials and her advice on taking care of my skin has helped my skin healed from all of the harsh products that I've been using and thought that I needed. It's been two weeks since my first visit with Sharon. I'm 38 and have believed in so many approaches to make my skin look better I was mentally/facially exhausted, so needless to say I was a little skeptic. But, I decided to give it a try since her skin looked really great! Today at work, I had a busy day, and took a quick look at my compact to check my appearance before a meeting. I was taken aback because my skin looked so good and it did not have an ounce of makeup on it. The red/blotchiness has drastically been reduced. I have had many facials in my adult years, and I finally found the BEST skin care specialist in the world. I have been a client of Sharon's for 8 years and she has single handedly changed my skin. I am a 60 year old woman who was plagued with disfiguring acne, from my teenage years, up until the time I met Sharon. I am a 67 year old who went to European Facials with delicate skin, tissue paper facial wrinkles and a crepe throat.

After a soothing facial that left my skin soft and glowing, Karen encouraged me to try a different skin care program and gave me product samples to try.

After a week my wrinkles smoothed (the big ones are still there and getting softer), and the tissue paper is gone. I have followed that program for about a month now. Saturday I went to my health club (after a year's absence), and the trainer made me pose for a new picture because she said I look five years younger. My skin is so smooth and even I don't have to wear foundation any longer - just some quick eye make up and I'm ready to go.

My husband keeps telling me how good I look. What more could I ask?

I shudder to sum up my history with my skin. It has been the source of great anxiety and fear for myself and subsequently my family. I refuse to add up how much my skin has cost me and those I love for the sake that it has proven to be too much to account for. I have tried high end facial regimes, microdermabrasion, chemical peels, medical grade skin systems, lasers, internal cleanses, vegan/raw diets, juice fasts, homemade cleansers, toners, moisturizers, and masks. It is embarrasing and I will not post some of the other things I have tried to improve my skin... some things may have helped but nothing has ever controlled my condition. I have continued to break out with at times cystic acne. I am 31 with two chidren. I will experience times where my skin is somewhat clear but it only allows me to realize how large my pores are and how congested the surface and deeper layers appear.
I went on City Search in an hour of desperation and found European Facials by Dzialo.
I was not expecting much just maybe some new tips to add to my plethera of knowledge concerning adult acneic skin. What happened in that office was like a dream. It was Sharon and not an assistant. I've been coping with acne for about 20 years. I've always thought that it was due to a combination of internal (diet, hormones, etc) and external factors (running 40+ miles/week--polution, sweat). Thanks to Sharon, we've actually figured out the root of my outbreaks, so rather than just treating the symptoms, we're working on ceasing the cause of this infectious process. For the first time in decades, I can actually see the potential that I have in relation to my skin. Thanks Sharon!

I have been a long time customer (over 10 years) of Sharon Dzialo and European Facials. The experience started for me with a gift certificate from a friend, and has grown to become my only source for my skin care needs. I was, at one time connected to the cosmetic industry, with abundant amounts of products available to me such as, astringents, cleansers, scrubs, masks, foundations, and powders - the usual daily routine. After my first few visits, Sharon began speaking to me about the health and needs of my skin, and it all made sense. Stripping my skin and drying it out with product was counter intuitive. I have been going to Sharon for 7 months now. I am 28 years old and had been to many aestheticians in an attempt to eradicate my redness and constant zits. I did not have acne, but zits that never seemed to go away and blotchy skin. I chose to see her based on the unique reviews on this site that described a different method. I am a 24 year old woman. I began coming to Sharon last November with severe acne that I inflamed by using many drying agents including my hands, natural remedies, rough exfoliants, and various cleansers. I was so embarrassed of what my face was and whether it was some sort of symbol that made others doubt my hygiene, diet, or efficacy in the world. The previous year I saw a dermatologist who told me my only option was Accutane. I wandered into Sharon's salon after reading rave reviews, hoping that she would simply extract enough to make my face look decent for a little while. What I got was much much more than I expected, a treatment that drastically changed much more than my face (though 10 months later, much of the serious scarring has gone away and the acne itself is nearly banished.)

I have been going to European Facials for almost 2 years now and it is no coincidence that I stopped wearing foundation almost 2 years ago too. Sharon's skin plan for me has made my face so clean and flawless. I no longer need foundation or concealer! I?m a thirty year old woman and have struggled with acne for about the last ten years. I have tried every expensive facial cleanser, toner and moisturizer sold at fine department stores including organic/natural products. Over the years to achieve beautiful skin I have not only spent a lot of money on products that irritated and dried my skin, but I have also seen an array of different estheticians, dermatologists and laser specialists. With extensive medication and creams I was able to get my acne under control, but my skin was still very red, dry and unhappy. I have very sensitive skin, and had struggled with red, irriated and inflamed skin most of my life. Dermatologists had made fleeting improvements with topical medicines, but I never saw a sustained improvement. A friend suggested I try European Facials. I was introduced to Sharon and European Facials thanks to the amazing reviews posted on City Search. My goal was to find someone who was down to earth and sincere in their approach to skincare, especially for someone over 50...like me. As with so many of the other reviewers, I had bought into the standard approach of washing your face, applying toner, serum, moisturizer, etc. What a breath of fresh air to have Sharon explain the real reason my skin was not at its peak, why I had battled blackheads on my nose since I was a teen. And I especially loved the fact that I no longer had to spend as much time and use so many products as I thought I had to. The Babor line that she uses and recommends is fantastic. Between the few products I use, and following Sharon's expert advice, I am now turning the corner and will in a few more months have stunning skin the way so many of Sharon's long-term, satisifed customers do. I'm so thankful for the people who wrote these comments about Sharon Dzialo. I have problem with acne since I was 12 and blackheads since 10yr old. I'm 24 now. I tried TVmmercials acne treatments, went to a facialist for months put on gylcolic acid every week. "They" said going to a dermatologist was the only way. So i opened a credit card account just so I could go see a derm. After 4 months of going to a dermatologist and spending $2000 for a laser treatment, my skin went for the worst. My skin was red, hot, burned, flaky skin and definitely greasy--beyond oily. So i went on Citysearch to find another dermatologist (silly me), and was stumbled upon this page and read all the raving reviews and the website.

Came in for a consultation (it's free, unlike other derms who demands $100+ for just an initial consultaion) and explained to me about the structure of cells in my skin and why my skin is reacting the way it is. Sharon was very sincere, passionate, and very compassionate about wanting to make my skin the way it was supposed to be; the beautiful, healthy skin i was born with.

Sharon's approach is very different from what's out there. But if you have skin like mine, and desperate for answers, i was ready and willing to take the different approach. No facial wash, no water on my face, and moisturize moisturize moisturize...she held my hand and gave me courage to test her words. Now i'm still in the process of healing. It may take another 6 months for all the scars to disappear. But i don't have huge painful acne, i don't have any more massive clogged pores, my skin is not red and hot anymore, I feel good--and i haven't feel like this for a long long time...My friends are telling me my skin is looking good, and they ask where did those acnes & blackheads went?!

She's not only my facialist, but she's like a friend and a family to me. I trust her completely and I will forever feel grateful to Sharon.

I thought I had tried everything on the market. I had tried all of the expensive moisturizers and creams at the department stores, but nothing helped my skin. A family friend then referred me to Sharon, and the rest is history. The results speak for themselves! I have been a client of Sharon's for nearly a year and I can't believe the way my skin has changed. My face used to hurt with a burning pain everyday, not to mention it was dry, cracking and overall unhealthy. If you are struggling with a skin issue and haven't found answers anywhere else, you owe it to yourself to visit Sharon and have a facial and listen to her advice. She is offering a method of skin care that you will not find elsewhere, from anyone else in the business, and it is simple and profound and very intuitive. I have dealt with acne, dehydration, inflamed and irritated skin since i was in jr. high, and it has vastly affected my life in so many ways, and have tried numerous things, seen many estheticians, tried many skin care lines, literally burned the skin on my face with acids and exfoliants and microderm, spent hundreds of dollars, and finally from Sharon i received advice that literally made me tear up with appreciation because it made so much sense. It has been just 6 days from my facial with her and i've been following her advice and already seeing vast improvement in my skin, that is ridiculously fast to be seeing results. It is actually the very first time I write reviews anywhere. But I thought that it is important that girls share their little secrets;-)
The service and care that I got in the salon are simply unique. Sharon is involved in every detail of what she does, she is truly a professional.
Sharon makes your skin glow, she really does that! And you can see the results in approximately two weeks! And then it's getting better and better!
What is also unique is the service you get in the salon. One day I was 45 min late for my appointment, and Sharon didn't charge me anything for this time, although it was obviously my fault!

I recently met Sharon while in Portland for work. I enjoyed my facial and the products I purchased. However, the actual facial, which was very nice, pales in comparison to Sharon's knowledge and advice. I have been getting facials for 20 years. In all this time, Sharon is the first skin care specialist to talk to me about the healing properties of my body and skin themselves Sharon discussed the abuse I have subjected my skin to over these years (all in good faith and with very expensive products), and how I could begin to reverse that damage with patience and time by tweaking my routine. The fact is that my new routine is much simpler, and I swear I have seen an almost immediate difference in the health of my skin. Sharon has been working with skin for a long time, has seen a lot of people, and her suggestions do not personally benefit her in any way, so one must conclude her recommendations are worth trying. I can't emphasize enough how impressed I am with her holisitic approach, focus on healing, and lack of product pushing. Sharon talks about how your skin can heal with the right treatment; she does not talk about how one must purchase 5 products from her to fix skin problems. Sharon is indeed unique in this field, and she should be respected for her approach and genuine concern for the health of others. I highly recommend booking a facial, which is very reasonably priced, especially given the advice you will get. Sharon is a gem.

I have been coming to Sharon for facials for 21 years. Her knowledge is extensive and most definitely gets results. Through the years I have always received compliments on my skin because of Sharon's approach to skincare and her method.
The atmosphere of the salon is relaxing and very calming. I make a point of having two facials every month with Sharon and it has become a wonderful regime that I look forward to. (And besides, she's a lot of fun).

Like most women, I've always stuggled with "T-zone skin"...oily by the end of the day with breakouts. Thank goodness a friend introduced me to Sharon two months ago! After two treatments and practice of her proven daily skincare practice there is already a marked difference in my skin. I don't even feel the need to put on makeup anymore! My big pores and red patches are gone. I found out I'd been drying out my skin by using cleansers, toners and drying makeup. Who knew that such a gorgeous turnaround could be had for a fraction of the price I'd been paying for over the counter products?

Sharon's facials are a truly relaxing treat, and I am absolutely convinced of the science behind her approach to skincare. If you are sick of finding coverups and false "solutions" to your skin problems, there is an alternative.

Pros: This is skincare to last a lifetime!

Sharon is a highly skilled and knowledgable esthetician. I had my first facial with her a couple of days ago and left feeling very relaxed and filled with a wealth of knowledge. I nearly fell asleep while recieving my facial, which is something I did not expect to happen. After the facial, Sharon gave me some great tips on how to take care of my skin in a preventitive manner, rather than simply treating symptoms. I'm excited to now know more about how I can naturally slow down my aging process and take better care of my skin. Thanks again Sharon!

My experience with Sharon was great. The room was comfortable and relaxing. Her facial was wonderful and she gave me tons of useful tips to treat my skin and prevent aging too fast. She explained every step of the treatment and even let me select the type of music I wanted to listen to! I recommend her to everyone.

I wish I had discovered Sharon's approach to skin care years ago. I have been enjoying her facials for about ten years. Going to her salon is a wonderful, relaxing experience and it has made a big difference in my skin. It used to be red and dry, but now almost glows! I receive many compliments on it and I can't recommend her services highly enough. If there is one thing, I will never give up it is Sharon's facials!

I came to Sharon at European Facial after experiencing a sudden change in the appearance of my skin. I had tried going to a dermatologist, who just gave me ointment that severely dried out my skin. After visiting Sharon I discovered that the root of problem was dry, irritated skin. Sharon put me on a regime that quickly healed my skin and brought it back to its old self. Sharon has introduced me to several methods to keep my skin looking great without a lot of work. She really assisted in reviving the shape of my skin and made me feel like I no longer needed to cover it up. I strongly recommend European Facial to anyone looking to keep or help their skins appearance from the inside out.

I came to Sharon Dzialo in 1987 seeking relief for my sensitive skin. Over the years, with Sharon's skills and educational advice, I have skin today that my cloest friends, as well as new acquaintances always ask about. I receive complements and questions at the department store cosmetic counters also.
5 1/2 years ago, we relocated to Mesa, Arizona. I have tried several of the salon/day spas in Mesa and Scottsdale, and I find nothing that compares to European Facials by Dzialo. Sharon's amenties are absolutely "The Best!" Though I miss Sharon's 1 1/2 hours of total relaxation, her one-on-one education, her wonderfuls hands and fingertips, I continue to be in contact with her on a regular basis to order product. If I have a concern about my skin, Sharon is there at the touch of the computer or phone, to assist and correct any skin concern I have. I have recommended Dzialo to all my friends and family without hesitation.

Sharan has created an appealing and relaxing environment. She is a particularly engaging person who is very knowledgable about skincare and the products she sells. The facial leaves your skin feeling wonderfully clean and soft immediately, and over time her skin care program leads to significant results. She is committed to getting results and has spent considerable time developing a simple approach to skin care that really works.

Since I moved to Portland six years ago, I have had constant issues with my skin. It was very, very dry, red and would frequently break out. While I spent hundreds of dollars on different cleansers and creams and had several facials at different spas, the condition of my skin didn't improve. When I read reviews for Sharon's facials on citysearch, I was intrigued by what other reviewers referred to as her "unorthodox treatment" and decided I'd give it a shot. I've been seeing Sharon for four months now and my skin has never looked better. Sharon geniunely cares about her clients' needs and goes out of her way to see that those needs are met. She designs and recommends a customized skin care approach for her clients and then educates her clients so that they can care for the skin between visits.

I have been a regular client of European Facials by Dzialo for 7 years now. I am 29 years old and hate to remember the condition of my skin before I learned the Dzialo method of skin care.

For more years than I can count I actually did not look directly at my face in the mirror as I hated the red, infected face that stared back at me. Now, thanks to the caring and intutive guideance of Sharon Dzialo, I not only admire my face, I can do so without the coverage of any foundation or cover-up! 7 years ago if you had told me that my face had the ability to heal itself with the the right care I would have thought that it was just another empty promise meant to sell me something. Today, I am living proof that sensitive, delicate skin can be healed to a point of consistent health and vitality.

Having experienced facials at top spas the world over, I have a good sense of the different styles that are common to the industry. Sharon's facials are meant to improve the texture and appearance of the skin, and they do just that. If you are looking for a relaxing "spa type" facial with New Age music and 15 different product applications, then you might prefer to go elsewhere. If you are looking for great looking skin, then Sharon is definitely the aesthetician for you!

Pros: No redness when walking out, even after extractions!

I have known and received facials from Sharon for over fourteen years. Sharon's incredible knowledge of skincare is truly amazing. She has changed my life. With her guidance and help, i have achieved and maintained a beautiful healthy complexion i always dreamed of ! European Facials is a relaxing and one of a kind experience. I highly recommend Sharon to anyone who wants to indulge and relax with a fabulous European Facial or take the time to listen and receive advice of her many year's of experience and knowledge as a esthetician. She is my facialist and my friend and i can truly say hands down, she is simply the best !

I am very active outdoors so my skin is exposed to the sun for long periods of time. As well, sweat and elements cause occasional clogged pores. Through her knowledge of both her products and my specific needs, Sharon created a skin care regime that is easy to follow and completely effective. As well, she has a unique method of extraction that does not leave my face red or sore. It is a very gentle process that leaves my skin clean and refreshed.

I have been going to European Facials by Dzialo for over 15 years. I am now 40 and my skin feels soft and looks radiant. Just yesterday I got carded at Whole Foods when buying a bottle of wine. I credit good genes, exercise and Sharon Dzialo for looking and feeling younger than ever. I told Sharon she can never retire!
