Jo Ann Stores

JoAnn Fabrics is the place to find great holiday bargains. They have aisles and aisles of decorations for whatever the nearest holiday is. They are quite reasonable in price and the day after the holiday they are really a steal. Come early though so you get a good selection. There are bolts and bolts of beautiful fabrics and other sewing and craft items. The employees are not always knowledgable but they are friendly.

My girls have suddenly taken interest in sewing and love taking a trip to Jo Ann's. It can be a bit cluttered, but they have fantastic sales. They also honor other stores coupons. Plan to spend time waiting in line though.....they employess aren't the fastest. This is also a great place to find inexpensive outdoor decor at great clearance prices.

I shop Joann's when I'm looking for cheap fabric for curtains or something. Thier scrapbooking selection is minimal, as is their crafts section. They have a little bit of a lot of things, but nothing that special in my opinion. The lines are always long, and their cash register system is a dinosaur - so slow! But I do like the silk floral section, and the discount fabrics. I'd often rrather shop on their website than go into the store though - better selection and faster checkout.

JoAnn's offers a satisfactory selection of fabrics and crafts. The store flyer every couple weeks offers a coupon for 40% off and I would only buy when things are on sale. (The store also accepts Michael's discount coupons). Also, catch the sales when seasonal items (Christmas, spring, etc.) go on sale, and sometimes you can get things for 75% off. Check-out service is very slow and understaffed.
