I could spend all day in this store. A good place to buy hard to find Asian cuisine. The ramen isle is HUGE!

This store will make you feel like you are in Japan. I have sent my Japanese co-workers there when they are here working. Highly recommend to thoes who want to do globe trotting without getting on a plane. The produce section is great.

I nearly cried when I first walked in. Just like Japan! Well, as close as you can get, anyway. The selection is amazing (and delicious). There's a little restaurant attached, and I highly recommend the yaki onigiri. Yum! They have tons of Asian grocery items, fresh produce, seafood, and baked goods. I could happily live there.

We love going there regularly and trying something new each time. We have discovered things that we wouldn't normally have with that approach.
It's fun-almost exciting to go there. It seems unusual and exotic.

A touch of the exotic orient in the middle of Portland. This is much more than a grocery store. You can find a wide variety of asian foods and be very adventurous. Stroll down the aisles and enjoy the sights. Lots of asian americans come here regularly. I also like the different festivals and celebrations they hold regulartly. Great spot, excellent seafood selection.

My young daughter clamours to go to Uwajumaya on the weekends because of their extensive Hello Kitty selection. My wife likes to browse in their bookstore that features Japanese stationery by Sanrio and San-X, and I like to peruse the various sauces and condiments that they have to offer. They have great deals on seafood, vegetables, and frozen items. Everything is fresh and organized by type of food. They have a place to eat takeout sushi and other lunch items and you can watch the huge tank of fish swimming around. They also have cooking classes so you can learn to make sushi at home!

When we have a craving for yakisoba, spam musubi, or char siu manapua, we head out to Uwajimaya! Uwajimaya keeps us stocked in all our hard-to-find Asian and Hawaiian favorites. GREAT selection of fresh produce too!

Uwajimaya is a great place to find a variety of fresh food and seafood...they have all kinds on asian grocerys..They have live fish and different kinds of other fishes in their frozen section too...It even has chinese food which is great for a take out and even some kind of Indian snacks at times which are very delicious ....they even have a gift shop where you can buy things from asian and even have a beauty shop which has great products and worth a look...I love their breads which are of different variety and they even carry special grill sandwich breads and asian breads which everyone always likes!!!If you are not at Uwajimaya you are surely missing a whole lot in life!!!!!

We love going to Uwajimaya! The store is so huge that you could wander around for quite a while; it is fun to do just that! You can find all kinds of products that you have never even heard of before. If you are looking for a certain ingredient in a new asian recipee, this is the place to go to find it. We like to buy seafood from there, because it is always super fresh and delicious! I highly recommend Uwajimaya!! They often have taste testing (samples) and other events.

Uwajimaya is an Asian food store with so much to pick from it is amazing!! I have sometimes gone there when I don't even need anything just to browse - not something I ordinarily do in a grocery store!
They have a wide range of products - mostly foods from Japan, China, etc. but also books, magazines, toys, treats, etc. My daughter loves to go and get the rice candies!
The food is always fresh - I have been disappointed in the quality of food I have purchased and we have been buying there for several years.
There is a ton of parking and it is very easy to find too.

I lived in Japan for a year, and when I miss it it's great to go to Uwajimaya. I like to buy bottled beverages, magazines, stationery, and snacks there - things that keep, so I don't have to make the long drive across town for a while. The restaurant in the corner is good - I love to stop in for some takoyaki! They also have a nice selection of dishes and kitchen items. The prices are very reasonable.

Uwajimaya Plaza is an Asian food market, or superstore might be more accurate. They sell a wide range of culinary delights such as Japanese, Filipino, Chinese, and several other ethnic varieties from the far east. Parking is excellent, the selection is outstanding, and the food quality is exceptional. You will want to return again and again.

This store is so impressive. There's tons to look at and lots of fun treats for anyone who likes Asian groceries. However, it is a bit hard to find some things if you don't read their languages on the packages!

I just love this store. From its produce to its giant tilapia tank and everything in between. This store has a wonderful assortment of Asian products

Uwajimaya has the best seafood selection in the Portland area, I think--fresh (live) talapia, clams, oysters and crabs! The produce market carries many unusual items--all at reasonable prices!

In this Store there is all ways something delicious for sale! The food is top quality and resonable. Uwajimaya is a little hard to locate but definitly worth it!

this place has an absolutely fabulous fish market--best in portland! It has everything from squid to fresh (live) talapia--and you can find all sorts of interesting produce here as well

this place is a pan-asian food wonderland! it is totally worth the field trip to beaverton. I reccomend going two days in a row, because, as if it were the disneyland of grocery stores, you just can take it in all in one day.
PROS: the ramen section alone is enough to make your whole day.
