Superior Import Repair is a small, family-run business that puts the customer first. We're never to busy to answer any questions or advise you on any of your vehicle issues. Our original location is still open at 4443 NE Prescott and our new location is now open at 635 E Burnside. See www.fixmysuby.com for more information on Superior Import Repair and our services.
Richie and his Dad are the most honest, straightforward and talented fix-it guys around. They tell me what I need to repair and what can wait. It's such a relief to know that I can trust them. My car has worked great because of their great care. I recommend both shops highly!
Pros: Will tell you what you really need to fix and what can wait
Cons: waiting room is bare...but spacious

We have been taking our two Subarus, (older and newer) to this shop for several years. Ritchey and his dad do quality repairs and use good parts. They keep you informed about what is going on, they give you all the options for your repairs, and don't charge an arm and a leg. I am really grateful to have them as a shop. In my experience, when they fix something you can bet it's as good (or probably better) than when the car rolled off the factory floor.
Pros: Quality, value, customer service, two locations

If you drive a Subaru, chances are you love it like a pet. It wants to go see Richey, his Dad, and crew of knowledgable, Subaru enthusiast. The two locations can tend to any of your needs with honest bids, thorough communication and often give you options when the scenario allows.
They are open to answering my questions politely and in an engaged manner. I'm often a do it your-selfer, an auto techs worst customer!! And they are always cool man...
Thanks Richey

Honest mechanics, excellent work, honest prices. I have 16 year old subaru that rallies like a frick'n champ thanks to these guys.

After getting screwed over by many other shops in Portland, my Suby has now found a home with the guys at Superior Imports. It is great to have a group of mechanics that I have no hesitation or concern with working on my Subaru, and I enjoy being able to support an honest business.
Pros: Honest, trustworthy, value.
Cons: None come to mind

This family owned business is well worth supporting. They are passionate about the cars they work on, and provide honest, straightforward advice. I went to them confused and freaking out after failing my DEQ, and left confident that I would be able to pass in time to renew my registration. The entire time, they were understanding, helpful, and courteous. I HIGHLY recommend them.
Pros: Fast, friendly service
Cons: Not exactly spotless, but what working mechanic shop is?

These guys are awesome. All of them :)
They provide expert knowledge. A great price and the proper amount of service. Honest and won't over sale unnecessary services to you.
I will come back to these guys again for my Subaru service.
Pros: Great price for great service, accommodating to customer schedule, expert Subaru knowledge
Cons: Probably only thing I can think of is no rental car. But then, I didn't ask :)

They get it done. On time. For a fair price. And they are honest and nice. The place is basic, not fancy. But I have never been let down!

I agree with everyone else on this. We had to have some extensive regular maintenance done and my wife called around to several places before discovering Richie. They were less expensive, more responsive and they will fit you in, if they can, on short notice. They go the extra mile on service for you and your vehicle. We have been using them just before they moved to the current location and when it came time to sell one of the cars, we kept the Subaru so we wouldn't have to deal with any other mechanics. I recommend Superior to everyone I know that owns a Subaru.
Pros: Custumer service, Knowledge of Subaru
Cons: They aren't open 24/7 :-)

I just bought my first subaru last month. While researching on the web, I found these guys and gave them a call with a few questions about suby hunting. They were super friendly and eager to help with my pre car hunting. The wagon I ended up buying needing a little tlc and Richie took care of it on schedule, and did so more economicaly then any other shop would quote me at. These guys are super honest and really love working on subaru's. I live in Seattle and will make the trip down just so they can change my oil and look under the hood. If you drive a suby, don't take it anywhere else!
Pros: these guys are 100% awesome
Cons: none

Great service. Friendly. Helpful. Reasonable prices. Need I say more? I had wheel bearings replaced and an electrical part fixed. Both have been perfect for nearly two years.
Pros: Everything
Cons: None yet

I have gotten ripped off by auto dealer repair shops and Jiffy Lubes one too many times. I have been taking my car to Superior Import Repair for over 3 years and will never take it anywhere else in Portland. I know nothing about cars and not once have I felt like I was being taken advantage of at this shop. My car is always fixed in a hurry and the prices are always much lower than the dealer. If you own a Subaru, I highly recommend you take it to Supeior Import Repair.
Pros: Friendly staff, quick turn-around, honest
Cons: Location
