Very disappointed with them. Used to go all the time, but the owners were very rude and unprofessional when my husband complained about some nasty fries that looked and tasted as though they had been fried in five day old grease. Too bad, I used to love that place and have been going there for over ten years. Now I will tell all my friends and family to avoid that place like the plague.

Cruisers seems like a good idea, until you actually eat there. It's not awful, it's not even bad. It's just very far from good. I love vintage drive ins & diners. I actually seek them out because when you find a good one, it's like striking it rich. I really hoped this would be a cool place that was either old & unchanged from it's glory days, or newer, but drawing on vintage diners for authentic inspiration. It's neither. It's that 1980s cheesy faux 50's style with pink & turquoise everything. Black & white checked floor & every stereotypical, dime a dozen framed poster of Elvis, Marylin & '57 Chevys you have seen a million times. Not one authentic piece of vintage memorabilia. No soul. Maybe there was a cool family history here in the past. Maybe the next generation didn't have a clue & botched a remodel in the 80s or 90s. It's too bad. It's boring, it's cheesy, it's actually very dirty throughout the place. All the large picture window seals are blown, so you can't see out. The owners stopped loving this place long before I had a chance to.

So that's my whine about the atmosphere. Now for the food. Everything is frozen, except for the soft serve ice cream. The burgers are those frozen hockey pucks from large bags. Not fresh or even local. I sat at the counter & watched them cook everything, so I'm not just guessing here. Every order was pulled out of the freezer & either thrown on the greasy grill or deep fried. Nothing fresh. The taste of the burger was as boring & cheap fast foody as it could be. Burger King actually tastes much better & Burgerville has this place beat in every respect. Mike's drive ins are sooo much better. I really was hoping for a Humdinger, or Burgermaster from Seattle, but this was just bland. They do fry a mean frozen tater tot. Our soft serve cone was already melting & dripping when they handed it to me. It fell right off the cone sideways & luckily landed on my shirt & hung on long enough to prop it back into the full upright position. I'm sure with enough syrups over the ice cream or mushrooms & condiments on the burgers, people actually think they are eating something tasty, but it ain't the beef.

Like I said, it's not awful, it's just not good. It is cheap though, so I can see why people on a budget go there, but after one trip, I'll keep looking for a better burger joint in deep SE.

Cruiser's is the best place ever. I've been going there since I was a kid and I still love it. It has so many memories and the food is amazing. And now I live right near it! Oh no!

I have been a loyal customer of Cruiser's for the last 15+ years. The food is amazing and a great value for the buck.Today I went there and ordered food for the family. We made the mistake of not thoroughly checking the order before we brought the food home. They had forgotten my granddaughters chicken strips. Everyone else was eating and I called and was told I could drive all the way back now and pick up the chicken strips and that is the only solution they offered. I was dissappointed that they couldnt give me a future credit so I wouldnt have to drive all the way back. The manager was rude and would not work with us. Will not be returning anytime soon. Too bad they can't fix their mistakes better and make customers #1.

I went to Cruiser's Drive-In today and it surprised me by how inexpensive the food is...especially in a time like this! ($1.75 for ice cream...a lot of ice cream!) The ice cream are tasty will a blend of fruity syrup mixed. I didn't get to try the burger, but my friend said it was really good. I was so full eating the ice cream I order (about 20-24 oz.), I couldn't stuff a juicy burger. I'm playing to go back soon and try their Maui burger, with Canadian bacon and pineapple. Tasty =)

The ultimate in bad for you food. This is a great 50s style drive in with the delicious malts to match. I've only had the food once, and it was exactly what good fast food should be .... tastey and completely bad for you. Take friends along with you to share in the gluttony.

Step back into a blast from your past at Cruiser"s Drive in, enjoy the 1950's style atmosphere while picking a top fifty's hit song on the jukebox. Sit back and enjoy the music and the show, they have an open grill where you can watch your food being prepared. The menu is full of wonderful burgers, corn dogs, fries, old fashion malts, shakes and did I forget to mention the ice cream. Oh Yeah the ice cream the cones are so BIG it will take an army of two to finish one off. The portions are generous to say the least and a great value for the price. This is a fun old fashion family style restaurant with excellent old fashion food and service, so bring the kids , grandma, grandpa, etc... to Cruiser's Drive In and experience it for yourself. And don't say I told you so. ;o)

PROS: a fun eating experiance
CONS: more parking

Wow! This place has some of the best burger, corn dogs etc. Great portions and taste. Not to mention ice cream cones and milkshakes and the like. They are usually busy so be prepared to wait but it's worth it. There is a jukebox and 50's style atmosphere. Open grill where you can watch them cooking up a storm. Fun family place and prices are about average or lower.

Cruiser's has the very best ice cream cones in town, and cheap too. Make sure NOT to order the large, maybe not even the medium, it will be HUGE and you won't even be able to finish it. Swirl is the best by far.

PROS: delicious, cheap ice cream
CONS: too big to finish!

I have eaten here since the early '70's when it was called Double E's. It was a walk up stand and you ate out at the picnic tables. When it became Crusier's they expanded the place and you have lots of seating inside now! The all the food is the great! The place is on the corner of 136th and Division in Portland, Oregon 97236 (not Sherwood).

I have been eating cheeseburgers scince I could say the word. They even used to call me cheeseburgerboy. To this day there is nothing more refreshing then trying a new cheesburger, but no matter where I try I can't say that I have tried a better burger than Cruiser's. Thanks guys.

SUPERB! Whoever says burgers aren't gourmet hasn't eaten here. The 50's style atmosphere is family oriented!
