Great food here. My classmates and I make the drive from PCC Rock Creek just for this amazing Thai food. Great service, the owner always remembers our names. The service is great, portion sizes are plenty as well, I always need a to-go

Excellent from the second I walked in. Extremely friendly and authentic staff. Great tasting food. You can't beat the lunch deals they have to offer. Definitely give it a try if you're in the area or don't mind driving to the Hillsdale

Since moving to Beaverton from Portland 3 years ago I've been on the search for a good Thai restaurant in Beaverton. After trying 8 or so I thought I'd give Pepper Tree Thai a try even though it's not really in Beaverton.

When I try a new Thai restaurant I always order two foundational dishes: Pad Thai and Curry (usually red). If a Thai restaurant can't get these two right they should consider firing the chef (even if it's grandma)! Pepper Tree Thai failed both! The curry was soupy (curry should not be soupy!) and you get a very small portion of, not to mention very dry, rice to go with the curry. If you've ever had curry you know how important rice is. I had to order more rice of course and they charge $1 for the tiny refill bowl (about a cup size). The Pad Thai tasted ordinary (I've made better and cooking is not my forte) and not enough to feed one person. Did I mention that each dish costs at least $9? I've tried many Thai restaurants and this by far was the worst in taste and in value! Don't go to Pepper Tree Thai if you love Thai food. Save your money and taste buds! Try Thai Cabin instead (I found this place a week after and have become a loyal customer!)

This is my favorite thai food in portland and I've tried them all. There currys are all really, really good. My favorite is the green curry, my wife loves the beef panang curry. No one makes better tom kah soup and you have to try the green papaya salad. just writing about it makes me want some.

The owners are I always there working. Chances are one of them will be your server. they are one of the nicest couples you will meet.

I never write reviews for anything. this is my first. I like this joint so much that i couldn't let the last review put any one off. I didn't even have a city search account until now. I don't know why the other dude has to be such a hater. Hey buddy this isn't indian food. The curry's coconut milk and its delicious. I will go back again and again.

Pros: Friendly fast service, consistantly amazing food, low prices

Cons: location, in a strip mall

I used to eat at this place, and liked it. That was a couple of years ago. Last night-3/29/10-we got take out from there. My wife didn't inspect the food, so when she got home we were shocked to find that the container was just a little more than half full. Then it got worse. Poured it on top of some very dry jasmin rice, and found that it had the consistency of soup! Curry should have some thickness to it. It was by far THE worst curry I have ever tasted. The cook probably was in a hurry to go home and clearly didn't care about pushing out a second rate product.
What's worse is when my wife asked me which Thai restaurant to go to, I said it didn't matter, I've never had a bad curry. Last night I did. I'll never eat there again. Enough said.

Authentic Thai food! We enjoyed Salad Rolls for appetizers, Nmbr 81 Pad Thai noodles, Nmbr 103 Pad Pak sauteed vegetables and s-3 Emerald chicken. Lots to eat and very well cooked, flaverful. They have great peanut sauce. Our favorite Thai restaurant. Highly recommend a try.

My Favorite Thai Restaurant. The best Pad Thai ever but made a little different each time. Very authentic. I also love their Kang Curry. I have eaten at many other Thai restaurants and never found food as good as this. Plus the staff is really friendly.

Situated in the border between Portland and Beaverton, this little Thai joint is my favorite by far. I must have tried every Thai restaurant in the Portland-metro area and keep coming back to the Pepper Tree.

Number one reason is the food. So authentic and so tasty. Every dish I have had has been good.

Number two reason is the price. You can have an excellent dinner (or lunch) for two without breaking the bank.

Number three reason is the service. The husband/wife team who own this place are very cute and friendly. They clearly want you to have a good dining experience and will do their best to make you happy.

Give it a try and prepare for treat!

The food tastes good but you have to be patient about service. Whenever my husband and I have gone there, our dishes are served 5-10 min apart. I??ve actually finished my dinner one time before they brought out my husband??s food. I would recommend take out.

Pepper Tree Thai Cuisine is the best you can find in Southwest Portland. They have a phenonmenal lunch menu offered Monday-Friday from open-3pm for just $5.95!!! The rest of the menu doesn't cost much more than that. The pad thai is by far the best I've ever had. The curries are all exceptional. The Pad Kee Mao as well as all of the soups will blow-you-away. As if the food wasnt enough you can count on prompt, friendly service every time you dine. Just make sure you dont forget a side of their peanut sauce, mmmmm!!!!

Cons: Kinda ugly but amazing!

Great food. I even liked the eggplant dish (which, I usually dislike). I couldn't get enough of the Pad Thai. The Fresh Rolls were excellent. No salad or lettuce in it. Lots of Thai basil and rice threads. I've been there twice with different people and everyone loved the food.
Service and cleanliness were excellent.
I will go out of my way to eat here.

While this restaurant looks really unimpressive from the outside (it is just a small slot in an ugly strip mall) it is well worth a try! I don't think i would have ever picked this place out if i didn't live right near by, but I am super glad i did. While most of their spicing is fairly friendly to the Western palate, they are more than happy to make things spicy for those who request it! Thier Green Sea is amazing. Their waitstaff is really great, especially one cute little lady who always wears a lot of makeup but is exceptionally kind, friendly, and always remembers me. The lunch specials are a really great value for the price and come with soup or salad.

Cons: bad american pop muzak

This place is amazing. Do yourself a favor and order the yellow curry. You won't regret it. Gread pad thai, great appetizers. Best Thai in the pizzle town.

We LOVE Thai food! My wife and I have tried numerous Thai places around Portland and Beaverton and this little hidden gem is by far our favorite, we've been frequenting the Pepper Tree for over 8 years and are usually disappointed when we have Thai elsewhere. Run by a very friendly little Thai lady named Tsim, this place dishes up scrumptious authentic Thai plates and soups (the Tom Kah in the firey bowl is second to none). The prices are very reasonable. Check it out, you won't be diappointed.

Just discovered this place, and I'm so glad! Great Thai food and a really delightful Thai waitstaff. The lunch specials are very inexpensive, include a salad, and are expertly cooked to order very quickly and brought to your table steaming. I have tried many dishes, and loved them all. The wide rice noodles with chili, basil, chicken, and cabbage is a favorite, as is the beef with bamboo shoots in special chili sauce. The sauce is a rich, slightly sweet/hot sauce, exceedingly fragrant and delicious! Hightly recommended place.

Delicious food, generous portions, friendly, attentive wait staff. Great experience every time.

Simple decor, but if you've had the food, it's easy to look past the lack of color and sparse ornamentation. I wouldn't call the decor "romantic"...but it's a quaint and comfortable place to have a good time.

Great curries in this little strip-mall restaurant. Don't skip over the house specialties, either. If you're a real heat seeker, you might want to ask for 5-7 stars - the cooks have the same reluctance as any Thai restaurant to really make you sweat - a bit timid with the heat at first...when they get to know you...watch out! Service here is super friendly - especially if Golf is your server! Great nickname! Flavors are clear and bright here, delivered with a smile and a tray of chile concoctions. Danger here is ordering too much - portions are quite large - you'll need afew people to help eat if you want to sample several dishes.
