Less than 3 years later my transmission needs another overhaul at a cost of $2,400!\n\nI brought my car in in 2008 had the transmission done for approximately $1500. They we're less than most other places and had a decent BBB rating at the time. When I got my car back the key wouldn't turn on without moving the steering wheel and that was linked to the transmission. I brought it back they fixed it. Okay fine. \n\nA few months later I get this annoying squeaky sound coming from the front of the engine. I had no idea what this was. I take it to Les schwab and we put in new shocks on. Still didn't fix it. I take it to the Honda dealership and they tell me it is a loose transmission mounting bolt! Fortunately, they tighten it up and don't even charge me to my relief. At this point I'm a little annoyed thinking what else could go wrong with the transmission.\n\nCome November 2008 there is a banging noise coming from the transmission. I take it to 3 transmission shops to get there opinion including this company. This company, even though they overhauled it 3 years ago, wanted to charge me at least $1000 up to $2000 to get it fixed! Now I know the warranty was no longer valid but I would think they would do it for a very very low cost or fix it gratis. ( If it was my company, and the driver didn't abuse the transmission (in which I didn't) I'd fix it and not charge the customer. A transmission overhaul should last a heck of a lot longer than this one did.) Obviously, not finding a lot of competency from this company I end up taking it to another shop.\n\nJust wanted to fore warn those out there and hope you don't get the ""shaft"" as I did.\n
