Great service here. Dropped my van off early in the morning and, even though full on the schedule, fixed my van within an hour- FREE of charge? What? I guess the problem wasn't big enough for them to charge. Awesome.\r

As a person who knows little about cars, it's invaluable to have my service done at Cleveland Auto. You never have to worry about unnecessary repairs and they go above and beyond every time. Their Integrity and skill cannot be beat.

Where can I even begin with my recent disappointment with Cleveland Auto?
I and my family have been loyal patrons of Cleveland Auto for a number of years and frequented the establishment based on referrals and solid, inexpensive service. My most recent experience, however, leads me to never be a customer of Cleveland Auto again.
I had been having problems with my car not shifting out of 1st gear (I had been having to take my foot off the gas for it to actually downshift). I called on a Friday afternoon in regards to making an appointment for my vehicle, as I know Cleveland can get stacked up, and was told their service was first come, first served. I, therefore, brought my vehicle in early Monday morning and by Tuesday had not heard anything. I finally called and discovered my car hadn't even been touched because I hadn't had an appointment. The guy I talked to said he would look at my car and call me back. Later that night I got a call stating my car was fixed and ready. I found that interesting because when I dropped my car off I checked the box on their form stating I wanted to be called with an estimate before ANY repairs were made (guess they missed that). So after being out over $100 (for a repair to my battery), I was told that the problem was fixed and a road test had been conducted and was fine (which I found interesting because the mileage on my odometer was identical to what it was when I dropped the vehicle off).
Suffice it to say, the problem with my transmission continued and I took it to another shop in Gresham. Within an hour, the owner called me and said my 2nd gear was out and my trans needed a rebuild.
So in regards to Cleveland Auto, you ripped me off $100 bucks because you never gave me the chance to refuse the repair (had I know they were going to work on my battery for a transmission problem, I would have told them to pound sand) and, if any of their mechanics are worth anything, how in the world can you MISS a gear being out on an automatic transmission!?

Answer your questions, offer good solutions, and charge reasonable prices. Compare their diagnostics charge to a dealers! Will not do any repair without your say-so and before discussing it with you, in my experience. Estimates are on the money and they're usually done when they say they will be.

The honest mechanic still exsists. I called Arlen with a problem, he diaganosed it on the phone. I brought it in for repair and it was fixed on time and on budget. They will fix it right the first time!!!!
I am tired of the "Dealer". An independent owned and operated locally owned business is the best!!

This is the place I used to take my truck for years and it was probably the cheapest and most reliable place around. While not a big fancy place, they do get the job done and find out and fix what is wrong with your vehicle right away. It also was helpful for me that it was close to a Max Train station so I could drop off my truck and take the Max to work. Very conveinient, and I would recommend them.
