DON'T USE THIS COMPANY--you will regret it. I took a DVD player in to be repaired in September and made the required deposit which was to be applied toward the repair. I never received a phone call from the company about the status of the repair, I had to call them every couple of weeks to find out what was going on. After two months of varied excuses (can't locate the part, it's on backorder, tryng another supplier, found a supplier, part will be in next week, should be ready in a couple of days, etc), I went to pick up the unrepaired DVD player after being assured I would get my deposit back (I was told the manager had approved the refund). I had not requested the refund, it was offered--twice. This seemed completely reasonable, since they could not provide the service I they advertised. When I picked up the DVD player, the manager was busy, and I was told the refund could not be done at that time, but it would be done later today. Three phone calls later I was told by the manager that he would NEVER refund a deposit, and his men would never say that they would refund a deposit, and under no circumstances would he refund my deposit. I have reported this company to the Better Business Bureau.

I used these guys because they service Lowe's extended warranties. They take forever to get anything done, it has been three weeks since my washer stopped working and it is still not fixed. I would recommend passing on the Lowe's warranty

If you want good customer service and your problem fixed, I highly recommend you do not use this service. And if the technician get sick or calls in sick, be prepared to wait another week for your next appointment. I'm almost positive this

Our dryer broke and we were in need of it to be fixed immediately. after being referred to Sharper Video by Best Buy they came out and did a service call which ended up costing us 95 plus tax. We were told that this price would be subtracted from the total cost of the dryers repair bill and being a large family we asked for an estimate for the parts needed to be overnighted.

We wanted this repair as quickly as possible, yet an estimate was impossible for this company to achieve. we called daily and the only response we were able to get was "our systems are down" "we are still working on it" and "we will call you back" After a week we had no estimate and never even got one call back to update us on the status of our parts.

obviously overnight shipping was pointless especially when it took this company 4 business days and if we didn't finally cancel our request they probably would still be working on an estimate.

After calling to get a refund on our service charge, Paul the "manger" (of incompetent workers) refused the refund. Even though this company never held up its end of the deal and gave us an estimate. it was ridiculous that they kept us waiting on an estimate and never realized "overnight shipping means OVERNIGHT" not "whenever I get to it"

I would never ever deal with this repair company again and I suggest to others that they do the same. I have already called best buy and said that they should be taken off the list of recommended repair shops since they the only thing this company knows how to do is think instead of take action and making a customer happy.

They saved my "old" 36-inch tube TV. It had odd symptoms and required an odd "special order" part.
No delay, no confusion, had it done in a week. Very economical. Great customer service.
I believe most people would have expected the TV had bit-the-dust.

My first review on Citysearch. Felt compelled to share my recent "Sharper Video" experience. I'm a video professional in the NE. Currently, I spend most of my time popping multiple vhs window dubs in and out of multiple vcrs using multiple monitors, so I'm in the market for a good repair shop.
Late last year, a tape became jammed in my 9 inch tv/vcr combo. I got it out, but it wouldn't accept another tape. Brought it to Sharper, paid the required $40 estimate fee. They plugged it in, and it worked. My bad. Should've done that. I'm an idiot. 40 bucks. That's the policy. No complaints.
Then, last month, I brought in my older 19 inch television with a power supply issue, and a surround sound receiver with what turned out to be a faulty volume encoder.
First the tv: I know the issue because I had the same issue fixed at another repair shop (another city) for $70, and I was told that the power supply on that particular model fails often. Quoted 170 at Sharper. I declined. Again paid $40 fee. And paid $7.50 fee for tv disposal. Counter refused to credit the estimate fee to the disposal fee.
Receiver- 142.10 to replace volume encoder. I spoke with Paul, the manager, and asked if he could credit one of my previous estimate fees to this repair. He said no.
Being a sole proprietor, I understand a business has to make money, but I sometimes bend my policies for future business. Sharper Video chose not to do that for me. I googled them and found that they are, in fact, now focusing their business away from walk-in repairs. I can tell.

Nice enough guys, but they came out 3 times, changed parts twice, and still didn't fix the problem. Samsung decided to change to a different service center under the warranty, and Sharper would not refund me for the incorrect parts they put in the TV unless they took them out, which they would have charged me again for their 4th visit. It took them two months to go through this routine, and now I'm out the money and the time. Wolf's service center in Vancouver fixed the problem in a day.

These people are a collection of incompetent fools whom spend more time thinking of how good they think they could look instead of attending to their jobs. After a time period of an entire month I had not recieved a single call concerning the status of my product. I then called & they told me that it wouldn't be ready for 2 more weeks and then I called again after 2 weeks passed and they told me I had to wait until December 18... the date was August 9. So you decide if you would like to entrust $40 just to check and see if they can fix your product and then be told it would take a millenium to fix. Those guys need to go back to Radioshack school and rethink their lives... "where did they go wrong?" Probably the time they chose to be TV repair men.

I thought my TV would last longer than 2 years so I was initially upset. Sharper Video turned an unpleasant experience into a pleasant one. They fixed my TV cheaper than what I was quoted, fixed it within a week, and were extremely helpful and considerate.
