Mr Appliance

I bought a second hand stove from Mr. Appliance.

Everything the previous reviews say is true... he is an unusual person, he may invite you to feel his muscles, and he knows more about appliances than any other store I visited in Eugene. The items are packed closely together... if scratches matter to you and you want to buy something, look at it carefully on all sides in good light before making a final decision.

I will use this store for my future appliance purchases. Highly recommended.

I have bought a washer and dryer from Mr Appliance. He is very good looking and will let you feel his muscles. My husband thought he was over the top to put it nicely. I thought he was charming and funny and a little full of himself. I will tell you this: he does redo the appliances before he sells them and for the money we paid we are very happy with both appliances. I would go there every time I need an appliance.

As a realtor I have sent many clients to Mr Appliance. He does have a "personality" and I do warn my clients about this in advance. He is very fair, has always told me the truth about what to buy and I have had 100% satisfaction with the appliances I have bought. He is the kind of guy who will tell you exactly what is wrong , how to fix it inexpensively. He will not point you to the most expensive appliance in the store when something cheaper will do. Would I want to go on vacation with him? - No. Do I think he is the most knowledgeable person about appliances I have ever met? -yes. This is the only shop I reccommend to my clients for used appliances and parts. I would give him 5 stars but he has a high enough opinion of himself already.

I'm not sure why I expected professionalism based on the commercials but it was really like the commercials only the owner guy was more arrogant than you would imagine he could possibly be. The lady at the counter was nice enough but it almost seemed the owner guy was irritated that we were there! We bought a fridge, it was fine for a rental but overall the place was unorganized and the guy was a jerk.
