I took my cat in to be looked at for a cold he was sneezing all the time. They immed out an iv in his juggular and then began vaccinating him 13 times. Ciouldnt even name the vaccinations and why would they be vaccinating a sick animal?? His leg was as hard as plastic when I finally took him out of there against their orders. The office mgr said " your cat is very sick and is going to die" which normally I would never yank a cat out of the place he was being treated but could tell something was seriously wrong. When I picked him up and paid the 750.00 vet billl that was racked up with all the vaccinations in a little over 24 hrs. He was close to death. And the only way I could get him out was to promise to bring him back for more shots (antibiotics) which they would not give me to administer myself. I brough him home and never brought him back to that place of death. Here we are 2.5 years later and he is fine. With NO help or aftercare from that nightmare of a vet clinic. Somebody should see these people are forced to close this clinic. I just wonder how many animals did give up and die while under their care. And how many hundreds of thousands of dollars they have made preying on animal owners that put their trust in these crooks. There is a special place in hell for people like the office manager there. I would be happy to join forces with anyothr that has had an experience like mine to see that no other animmals are treated like the way the Beaverton Cat Clinic treated my cat.

I thought it was just me who felt like a horrible person going to this guy. Don't go there. I went once a few years ago, and then again this passed week. The vet took out a dental implement and scraped my cat's teeth while he basically made me feel like a bad person because of the plaque my cat had.

Only now, my cat has an infection in his mouth. And to top things off, when I went in to get my deposit back (I had left one for further testing) he came out to try to talk me out of going to another vet and getting my money back, and I smelled alcohol. A strong scent of alcohol at 4 in the afternoon. Maybe he's diabetic and that's why he smelled that way, but I really wouldn't risk my cat's health to give this guy the benefit of the doubt.

I should have read the other reviews before picking this "cat doctor". My wallet is almost $800 lighter thanks to 2 days of "care" at his clinic. As others have said, he recommends multiple tests and overnight boarding almost before a diagnosis is made. I wish I'd paid attention to my intuition and walked away from this clinic quickly, especially when I noticed that the place was suspiciously devoid of other customers.

Exactly what others have said. This vet is extremely pushy and orders many tests. Doesn't let you know that an exam is required to get a refill (doesn't even mark it on the bottle, like most vets) and then won't let you have even a few days to cover the prescription until you can go in (even though the next appointment isn't for a week or more??) At one point he put my cat on 6 different medications. My cat got very sick about a week later and when I brought him in he said that I "shouldn't get my hopes up." After days of having to board my cat with them I was finally told that it was something with his liver (and yes, he was that specific despite me asking several times) and that it was getting better. Hmm, wonder why my cat got sick in the first place? After $3,000 and a week of hospital care they said to just go back to one medication. Yeah. Awful. Mostly I'm wondering why I didn't go find a new vet earlier.

This doctor practices medicine like a used car salesman. He is pushy and will make every attempt to brow-beat you into medications, tests and treatments that your cats don't need. His staff is incompetent and rude. They did not make the follow up phone calls they told me they would make. As a result, my pet was boarded overnight without my authorization. I have filed a complaint with the 3 B's about this office. Don't go here.

I really dislike this vet and don't plan on returning. He is extremely pushy and insists on tests, medications and vaccines which are unnecessary and expensive. He gives doom & gloom opinions followed by a whole bunch of medical-speak to leave you feeling like you are a terrible person if you don't authorize all the tests. The clinic was supposed to call me back with a status update and to let ME decide if my pet would be boarded tonight. They are now closed with my pet held HOSTAGE. The vet is not returning my call. If I could rate this place zero stars, I would. Don't EVER GO HERE. If you value your pet and your hard-earned money, DON'T EVER GO HERE.

I took my cat here for her 1st visit on a Friday about two weeks ago for an exam, vaccine updates & grooming. I dropped her off early in the morning & returned to pick her up that afternoon. When I arrived, I was told she was dehydrated, that they were concerned about her kidneys & that she was too stressed & aggressive, so they would have to sedate her in order to do the grooming. Since they're only there partial days on Saturday, closed on Sunday & wanted one full week day to monitor her due to the dehydration, etc & wanted to run bl00d work to determine the extent of her health problems, I agreed to leave her there until Tuesday. The vet called me that morning to inform me that my cat essentially had some kind of virus, nothing serious. I returned to pick her up on Tuesday evening, to find that I'd been charged over $600!!! They had run tests on her that they had never even mentioned to me, like FIV. They sent me home with 2 medications, an antibiotic & an immune system stimulant. When I called the next day to discuss the charges with them, the woman I dealt with was completely rude & unprofessional. I was so upset about being treated that way, I had a family member call in. That family member was given a completely different story about the health concerns. I decided that if there were more serious health issues I'd move forward with the health care. I took her in today for a follow-up appointment: exam & bl00d draw to be sure the meds are helping improve her health. They put a muzzle on her & because she struggled when they tried drawing the bl00d, they said they couldn't do it. Of course she struggled, she's a CAT!!! They want me to bring her in on Monday, leave her there so they can get the bl00d by pricking the cat's foot pad (apparently "really time consuming"? Whatever!). Due to my work schedule this is impossible. I had an appointment today to get bl00d work done. What kind of vet can't get bl00d from a cat? I paid the $55 bill today & left in tears.

I have been going to the Cat Clinic for 6 years. I have read all the reviews that talk about the rude staff and the rude Doctor, and I am very confused...I have never been treated badly or had the Doctor be abrasive with my cat! I know how hard it is for the staff there to deal with some of their clients, as I have seen it first hand. Clients being very ugly and rude when they have to pay their bill and don't have the money. I am not sure what these people expect when they "OK" things to be done. Anyway, please don't take the angry ventings of people who want good vet care but don't want to pay seriously. The Cat Clinic is great and your cat will thank you.

The previous review, 060707, is--sadly--quite accurate in their review. I first began going to the CC 4 yrs. ago. Dr. Minor, who retired Dec. 06, was a wonderful vet. He is sorely missed. Dr. Goltz now has himself spread too thin and needs to add a vet who is caring and good with cats. Dr. Goltz comes across as aloof, has poor people skills and--worst of all (here again the previous review is so right) is rough with his patients. Which begs the question: Why are you a vet, Doctor? I have stuck it out since Dr. Minor's departure in the hope that Goltz would add another vet. Six months later now, he still hasn't. I may soon leave CC as well. The staff has changed mostly but one staffer in particular, Cindy, is quite professional and caring. Goltz is a competent vet but, frankly, has the worst "bedside manner" of any vet I've ever encountered. On the plus side, CC is cats only. But beware, if you're seeking a kind, caring, personable vet, Goltz, although technically well-qualified, should not be your choice.

Beware! To all who read this, please note dates of positive versus negative reviews. As of late, they are NOT recommended. I concur with the latest users as their customer service is pathetic now. Of course, most of the staff has changed in the last year. They try to nickel and dime everyone with minimal options. We had been taking our cats there for several years until recently. Dr. Minor was awesome...VERY honest & caring vet. On the other hand Dr Goltz is rude and uncaring, worse yet, he's quite rough when handling the animals and likes to give you guilt trips. Also, regarding records, you can never read them! Recently they hung up on us 3x after trying to get more information. I wish I knew where Dr. Minor had gone. I am not sure if he just retired or what?!?! They don't want to seem to discuss it either.

We are going to check out Rock Creek instead.

My poor cat had to have emergency surgery and I was recommended to come here from out of town. I am sorry I did. I was overcharged and treated very poorly by the front office staff. The business operation clerk was rude, impatient and all out of whack. She should not be allowed to work in such a setting. Put her in charge of picking garbage with the chain gang. Then maybe she will get a dose of her poor service. She needs a great deal of lessons in customer service. I am very sorry that I went there. My cat was treated nicely by the Dr. however, due to the poor service upfront I would not recommend this place. :-(

The office manager here is extremely rude. They overcharged us for an 'emergency' procedure. When I questioned the extra charge, I was told the office manager would have to talk to me tomorrow. She called way too early in the day ( I asked to have her call after 10a.m.). She was rude, arrogant and extremely impolite. She still did not explain in an effective manner why they determined this was an emergency to take care of our cat. I asked who her boss was and she said very loudly-- "I AM THE BOSS!!" Well if your customers are paying you, they are the BOSS. Listen to your gut, and your cat. Avoid this place until they change their business office staff. Others there were pleasant and the Dr. was professional.

My husband and I have been searching high and low for a new vet for our cat. We thought that a all cat clinic would be wonderful - and then we went there. We came in for specific reasons (our kitty has a history of cancer and needs regular check ups), and the first thing we were told was that she needs her teeth cleaned. Then we were told to give her all of her shots over again (which had been done about 4 months prior), to test her for feline leukemia, get the FIV vaccine, and microchip her in case she gets lost. I tried very hard to explain to the vet that our cat is strictly indoor, that she never comes in contact with other animals, let alone other cats, and that she doesn't even like the thought of being outside. She is 13 years old and has never attempted to run away - why does she need a microchip or an FIV vaccine, or any of the rest of it? She doesn't.

They were pushy, and so clearly trying to sell things to us.

No thanks. Our cat is our much loved companion - not money in the bank for a vet.

I set up a surgery with this group after receiving details about the procedure and pricing. When I arrived with my cat, I was told there were extra charges for items I could not opt out of and that the procedure was different then what I had been led to believe. My wife attempted to discuss this with the office manager and was treated very rudely. The doctor came accross as very professional but until he replaces his staff, I wouldn't waste my time here.

Bar far the worst place i have ever been in my life. Not only does the hospital smell like nothing but old cat urine when you walk in , there in no quality in the care. I have never felt my cat was so neglected and miss treated. I will forever tell EVERYONE NOT TO GO HERE!!! On top of that it took them days to fax the exam findings to a new vet.

I like the Cat Clinic but the doctors just go overboard. These guys would be better "robot mechanics" than vets. First, they love to perscribe a lot of drugs. Also, they do not consider the emotional health of the cat. For example, they wanted to give my 16 year old cat a feeding tube because she did not eat for 48 hours. We took the cat home (over their objections) and the cat started eating immediately!

I think this is a good place, but please do NOT let them boss you around. If you think their advice is bad, you MUST stand up and tell them your opinion.

I decided to take my cat to this office because it caters only to cats. My cat is nervous to say the least and I didn't want her freaking out any more than necessary. I really like the DR and the assistants seem very helpful. I was a little worried that Pippen was too small for her age but he assured me that she was just fine.

I started going to the Cat Clinic 3 years ago. The veterinarian was very friendly and helpful. I have a cat that had some kidney issues a couple years ago and everyone at the Cat Clinic was amazing. I had to leave my cat there for a couple days while he was treated and the staff called me daily to give me updates on his health, gave him food according to his special diet and had a "play room" for him to get out of his kennel and exercise each day. I have never gotten better care from another vet.

They also have a couple clinic cats that live in the office. They are friendly and entertaining and always welcome each patient when they walk in the door.

My cat has had recurrent UTIs and has always gotten satisfactory treatments from our old vet. This vet recommended my cat stay overnight for four nights--with reasons not clearly known. They have nobody there to care for the animals after closing. I took him home against recommendation after two days with them telling me he had "loose stools" due to the antibiotic. He was so lethargic, his tongue was sticking out and he stared into space for about 10 hours. He would not eat or drink. The "loose stools" were actually full blown diarrhea, accompanied by vomiting. I took him to a 24 hour emergency clinic. They recommended we stop all medications. Their antibiotic had caused diarrhea, and he had also been given a very potent sedative. I feel my cat was extremely over-medicated. The bill was not itemized clearly. The antibiotic sent home had NO NAME on it.
