We couldn't agree more with the previous reviewer. Just stay away from Dempsey and his cohorts. We are subconsultants who were getting totally screwed by Dempsey et al until Huntsingers got involved. Eva and Tom Huntsinger renegotiated all the outstanding debts that Dempsey and Century West owed and set us up on promissory notes so that Century West had to pay us. It worked, thanks to Huntsingers, but then when they left, it all started again. Dempsey continues to siphon off our money into his pocket. If you still have contracts to do work through them, go to the client and have the checks made out jointly to you and to Century West, then you'll get paid. Don't get sucked into the smooth talking Dempsey either..it's smooth all right, and it's slimmey! Clients may not realize it, but they are at risk too doing business with Dempsey and Century West...

Pros: If you like mental anguish, then you'll like these guys.

Cons: Full of them.

It is appauling the Ned Dempsey and Century West have been allowed to operate as a business for so long. Be careful if you intend to be connected with them in any way - either as a client, a subconsultant, or a vendor. Ned Dempsey negotiates contracts for work and then ramps up the amount of subwork on the job. He gets paid for the sub's work from the clients, but then uses the funds to support Century West and himself and often doesn't pay the subs for years! He also funnels cash generated from the firm to his and his wife's (Charlene) personal retirement vehicle (San Marco LLC) by leasing out his building in Bend to Century West. Century West needs only a fraction of the space, but Dempsey obligated the firm to pay the entire lease payments on the building for years to come. Much of the cash generated by the firm is siphoned off this way, rather than to paying the subs and vendors (and of course this has been blind to the IRS for years). He also pays himself interest income for supposed loans to the firm that never occured. (Another tax aviodance strategy). He's a smooth talker and does a lot of name dropping, but when you get down to it, he and the firm are a fraud. Dennis Fuller and Joe Roshak have been at the helm with Dempsey so long that they no longer know the difference between right and wrong, nor can distinguish criminal conduct from not. ShoreBank Pacific handles the credit line, but can't get rid of it. They got pulled into Dempsey's web and can't get out. This is because when/if Dempsey and Century West defaults, Shorebank's forefieture rate will exceed that allowed by the bank examiners. Just do yourself a favor, stay away. There are much better firms out there for which to contract for anything Demsey et al purport to do.
