The Contemporary Crafts Gallery is not easy to find, but it is well worth the effort. They have an amazing selection of art in all kinds of media. The collection includes art to wear, adornment, table art, etc. Plan on spending a few hours and you will walk out with something.

This is a hidden gem - you have to look to find it, but it is worth the search. Located in the John's Landing area, this gallery contains both permanent and rotating exhibits of both local and regional artisans, as well as a retail store where they sell a variety of hand-crafted works including jewelry, paintings, ceramics, etc. They have a wide range of styles, mediums and price ranges, so there is truly something for everybody.
There is no entrance fee and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I have been here several times and have always been glad that I stopped by.

art gem in sleepy neighborhood
by Elisabeth M.
As well as being a must-see for art students, this gallery is a wonderful place to buy works by local and regional artists. They display a mix of styles and price ranges of pottery, fiber and wood arts. The staff is very friendly and has gone the extra mile to help me find ceramic work I liked and could afford.
Though located in residential neighborthood north of Johns Landing, it deserves more exposure.

This is an art gallery right off of SW Barbur Blvd and Hamilton.
It is on a busy street but you can find parking easily. You will find an interesting exhibit when ever you stop buy. There is a permanent exhibit and special shows that change frequently so there is always something new to see. They sell a variety of items as well. Beautyiful handmade one of a kind items such as jewelry, ceramics, silk fabric, and etc. You may become a member as well. There is no entrance fee. Staff is friendly.
