We've been to woodcrafters several times when getting started in woodcarving. They have a great selection of tools and wood blocks along with information for the novice carver. Highly recommend this store.

woodcrafters is the place. i love that they cater to craftsmen and first-timers and are respectful and helpful to both. They have the wood product, the idea book and the tool to go with just about any project and the experienced staff to help with any questions you might have.
