The Rose's Restaurant and bakery on NW 23rd is a Portland tradition. The food quality is great, the service is as fast as they can make it, there is usually a crowd or waiting. It is worth the wait. Give them a try, from their famous Reuben to the giant donuts. Stop in any Rose's and you wont be disappointed.

I have loved Roses for over 25 years. The food, drinks and desserts would be hard pressed to find anywhere else. I think the prices have always been reasonable considering the quality and the portion. I have told many folks that have come to the Portland area for a visit or long term not to miss Roses-it's a one of a kind experience....and all of the eye candy is good for the soul! The old downtown Portland location is still my favorite, but they have branched out...so you can enjoy them at your convenience. They have a great website too! I have sent in a comment to Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives on the Food Network...I hope they pick Roses to do a story on. You guys Rock!

Rose's Deli has some of the most amazing desserts on the planet. Their cakes are enormous, beautiful creations that look way too good to be real (expensive, though: a slice is about $6 and a whole cake is more than $40). They also have about 20 varieties of cookies and a ton of other homemade goodies. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are also served, which is typical deli-style food. The sandwiches are huge and very good. Save room for dessert!
